Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 255: The Powerful Firepower of the Aegis Missile DestroyerChapter 255: The Powerful Firepower of the Aegis Missile Destroyer
Not long after, the anxious and nervous voice of the announcer was heard: ”Captain, the radar system has found five targets and successfully locked them. Please instruct us whether to launch missiles to attack them immediately?”

When Ouyang Jie heard the news, his eyes as deep as the sea flashed with an even more determined light.

He was seen standing in the center of the command room with his posture as straight as a pine tree, exuding an innate calmness and courage.

Without any hesitation, he spoke slowly in a tone as calm as the still water of a deep pool: ”Launch the missile immediately.”

”Yes! Follow the order immediately and launch the missiles!”

After receiving the order, the operator stretched out his right hand without hesitation and decisively and forcefully pressed the eye-catching red launch button on the console in front of him.

At this moment, the entire Aegis missile destroyer seemed to instantly transform into an awakened giant beast. Accompanied by a low and deafening roar, missiles whizzed out from the ship like a group of wild horses running wild, or like arrows shot from a bow, with the force of thunder.

The tails of these missiles spewed blazing flames, forming giant red dragon tails tens of meters long, which cut through the sky and sped towards the target ships in the distance at an astonishing speed.

The spectacular scene was like a series of dazzling lightning that suddenly flashed across the night sky, illuminating the originally dark and gloomy sky as bright as day.

Each flash of lightning represented the trajectory of a missile. They intertwined together to form a beautiful yet deadly picture that deeply shocked everyone present.

Time passed minute by minute, and soon, earth-shaking noises were heard in the distance.

Immediately afterwards, huge fireballs rose into the sky, illuminating the entire sea surface.

It turned out that the high-speed flying missiles accurately hit the designated target ships, triggering a series of violent explosions.

At the same time, in the spacious and bright command room of the Linjiang Aegis missile destroyer, a young officer quickly stood up, saluted Ouyang Jie in a standard military salute, and then reported loudly: ”Captain, after confirmation, all five targets have been completely destroyed.”

”Have!”

Ouyang Jie’s face, which had been tense all the time, finally relaxed. The corners of his mouth rose slightly, revealing a satisfied smile.

The Saudi delegation members in the Camel area were all stunned and dumbfounded after witnessing how the Aegis missile destroyer locked onto the target so quickly and successfully launched missiles to destroy it.

They couldn’t believe their eyes and couldn’t help but exclaim in their hearts: ”This speed is too fast!”

You know, from the time the attack order was issued until the target ship was accurately destroyed, only a few minutes passed.

This astonishing reaction speed and striking accuracy is truly beyond imagination.

After careful observation and analysis, they soon realized that the key to the outstanding performance of this Aegis missile destroyer was that its radar system was extremely advanced, which could detect distant targets in a very short time and accurately obtain relevant information;
At the same time, the missiles it carries are not only powerful, but also have highly precise guidance capabilities, thus ensuring a one-hit kill effect.

At this moment, a ”seed” of desire to possess such powerful weapons and equipment quietly took root in the hearts of every member of the Saudi delegation in the Camel area.

If the country’s navy can purchase a batch of such high-performance Aegis missile destroyers, it will undoubtedly greatly enhance the country’s maritime defense capabilities, making the enemy daunted and afraid to invade.

……

Next, we will test the close-in defense guns and close-in defense firepower circle on the Linjiang-class Aegis missile destroyer.

At this moment, a shrill alarm suddenly sounded in the command room of the Linjiang Aegis missile destroyer, and the sharp sound instantly broke the originally quiet atmosphere.

At the same time, warning lights of various colors around began to flash wildly, and the red light jumped alternately, illuminating the entire command room red.

”Captain, several missiles are flying directly towards our Linjiang!”

A young officer reported to the captain with a serious look on his face.

He stared at the monitoring screen, clenched his fists, and leaned forward slightly, as if ready to deal with any possible danger. Ouyang Jie frowned, his eyes were sharp, and he decisively issued an order: ”Close-in defense guns, prepare!”

These four short and powerful words exploded in the command room like thunder.

Almost at the same moment, a steady voice came from the communicator: ”The close-in defense gun is ready.”

Then another voice quickly sounded: ”The radar has successfully locked the target.”

After hearing this, Ouyang Jie did not hesitate and immediately gave the order to fire again: ”Intercept the target!!!”

This order was like a sharp sword, pointing directly at the aggressive enemy missile.

”Yes!”

The operator responded loudly, then quickly reached out and pressed the fire button.

In an instant, a series of deafening roars were heard, and the close-in defense guns on the Aegis missile destroyer began to operate at an astonishing speed like awakened behemoths.

They spewed flames and fired fiercely at the enemy shells they were locked on.

For a moment, countless rays of fire intertwined together, forming an extremely huge and tight firepower network.

This firepower network is like a ferocious beast with its bloody mouth wide open, mercilessly intercepting the enemy shells that attempt to break through the defense line.

”This……”

”That……”

Abdul and others were shocked when they watched the Aegis missile destroyer building a firepower network up close.

How cruel!

All the shells fired were destroyed by the firepower network constructed by the Aegis missile destroyers.

After a while, a voice sounded: ”Report to the captain, all the shells fired by the hostile forces have been intercepted!”

”Have!”

Ouyang Jie replied with a smile.

……

After the sea test of the Aegis missile destroyer was completed, Lin Chenran and others left in a Z-20 heavy helicopter and returned to land.

The Linjiang Aegis missile destroyer continued to carry out its mission at sea.

After returning to land, Abdul and others did not immediately find Lin Chenran to continue discussing matters concerning the warship.

They have to go back and summarize the various details they saw on the Aegis missile destroyer today, then report to the country and wait for the final reply from the country.

Even the most picky Saudi delegation in the Camel region was conquered by the Aegis missile destroyer.
