Chapter 649: I will not retreat Again... Part-8.

*Cough!* *Cough!*

With trembling hands, Lia brought out high-grade mana recovery potion from her space ring and gulped it down while coughing.

[You have sustained too many injuries; use a healing potion that Riya gave you before; healing potions made by her are even more effective than regular High-Grade potions...]

[Let me cast the ’Wings of Light’ spell and we will retreat from this battlefield now-]

Before Kai could finish his words, Lia interjected.

”No... we can’t retreat...”

Kai was dumbfounded after hearing those words and immediately retorted back!

[What are you even talking about!? You are on the verge of death! And even the hidden power of your necklace is now gone!]

[You can’t even cast divine spirit manifestation magic again as you have already put enough burden on your body, mind and soul by summoning me once today!]

[You can’t do that again! All your enemies are already dead!]

Lia shook her head as she didn’t bring out the healing potion; instead, she hurriedly jumped to the side!

”You are wrong; not all of them are dead...”

As if to prove Lia’s words right, a broadsword came crashing down from the sky on the spot where Lia was originally standing!

*BOOOM!!!*

A powerful shockwave spread in the area as debris flew in all directions!

Lia barely managed to dodge that attack, and she immediately took a sword stance by holding her sword with one hand while applying spirit magic to the hole in her stomach with her other hand in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

”You really took me by surprise by that one! So that’s what a true legendary skill is like! HAHAH!!!”

”No wonder everyone dares to insult me by saying that I am ’defective’... I must acknowledge, when compared to the power of this true legendary skill... mine is really ’defective’...”

Rahn slowly descended from the sky near his sword as he spoke with an amused smile on his face.

Despite that wide grin on his face, his entire left side of the upper torso was completely missing.

It was as if someone had slashed him with a ’\’ shaped sword attack.

From his shoulder to his waist, his entire left side was completely gone; his internal organs were spilling out, and he was barely holding them back with miasma.

Even his heart was sliced in half and wasn’t beating anymore at all.

Rahn already had one leg in his grave, and yet, he stretched out his only intact hand to hold his sword and confront Lia head-on.

[Ugh! This fellow managed to survive!?... did having a weaker version of a legendary skill gave him more resistance to Rio’s ’Sword Intent’!?]

Legendary skill users had higher resistance against attacks that involved the usage of legendary skills.

This was the main reason why despite Rio having such insane mastery over his sword intent, his sword intent still struggled to injure Link severely when that same sword intent was extremely fatal for others!

The sword intent that Rio put in Lia’s necklace was a weaker and less organized version compared to the sword intent that Rio has after meeting the little dwarf boy in the dwarf kingdom.

Thus, with his tenacious vitality of a peak S-ranker and his higher resistance to legendary skills, Rahn barely managed to survive instant death.

And as Rio’s sword intent was still lingering and damaging his body from inside out, Kai became unable to sense Rahn’s presence for a second, thus mistaking him for dead!

”Phew... It’s actually better that he didn’t die... after all, I don’t want this battle to end with Rio stealing the show...”

[Is this the time to be thinking about this!? You’re still treating this battle as training!? You are about to die from blood loss!]

Kai’s worries were right, but Lia didn’t even bother hearing them; her entire mind was now focused on Rahn.

”I guess you also want this battle to continue... that’s why you dragged your half-dead body here, right?”

Hearing Lia’s words, the demon grinned wildly and took his sword stance.

”I am Rahn Wyarden, the Fourth Demon General of the Demon Race. State your name, Fearless Warrior...”

Demons also had the concept of fearing and respecting the strong; seeing that Lia was still able to stand and confront him even after suffering such severe injuries, Rahn had to acknowledge Lia’s strength.

He could sense that Lia also had a foot in the grave and her internal injuries were quite severe, yet she fearlessly dared to stand against him; she was worth respecting.

Lia smiled back at the grinning demon and spoke,

”I am Lia Silver, Future Divine Spirit King.”

After that, there was no more need for words; it was either kill or be killed!

[Divine Spirit’s Blessing: Wings of Light!]

[Silver Lion Sword Art: Lion King’s Rage: Half-Moon Descent!]

Lia swung her sword in a downward arc as she shot towards Rahn.

[Sea Monster Sword Art: Shark Type: Jaw of Demolition!]

*Booom!!*

Lia’s and Rahn’s swords collided with each other, but Lia didn’t focus on that single attack solely; that sword swing attack was just a feint.

The moment Rahn and her sword collided, she immediately slipped to Rahn’s injured side and punched him in the injury with all her might!

*BAM!!!*

Rahn lost his balance and got blown several meters away, and his efforts to keep his organs intact became weaker as he coughed up blood from his mouth!

But he didn’t stop at all; the very next moment he kicked the sand beneath his feet.

[Acqua Manipulatio!]

Using his pseudo-legendary skill, he added moisture to the sand and fired hundreds of arrows made up of wet sand!

Lia immediately tried to defend herself with a divine magic shield while dodging to the side.

But to her shock, the moment those wet sand arrows hit her shield, they did not damage it, as if they were just powerless defective attack moves.

Before Lia could realize what was going on, Rahn bashed her with a shoulder smash and sent her flying!

*BOOOM!!!*
