Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 643: I will not retreat Again... Part-2.

Lia’s eyes narrowed after hearing Kai’s words.

A demon that can make Kai have such a deep impression of him would obviously not be an ordinary individual.

Lia knew full well that the demon race had no lack of talented individuals; Alverto alone was strong enough that if not for Rio, he could have literally destroyed the world all by himself with his schemes!

It’s never a good idea to underestimate even the weakest demons, let alone a powerful S-rank demon who looks especially handsome!

Being handsome-looking in a race filled with brute and ugly-looking demonic creatures was a massive oddity!

Some people in the world alliance even argued that the more handsome and good-looking a demon, the stronger and more dangerous they would be!

’Although not as handsome as my Rio, this fellow is definitely in the same league as Alverto...’

’The only thing to consider is whether he also has a legendary skill or not...’

An ordinary S-ranker and an S-ranker with a legendary skill were simply two different levels of creatures.

A single legendary skill holder can kill dozens of the same-rank individuals and even fight some upper-rank individuals under certain conditions!

The boost in strength brought by a legendary skill is nothing to joke about; it can make even the weakest individuals become extremely lethal and powerful, let alone those who are already strong!

[As far as I know, this fellow doesn’t have a legendary skill but a weaker version of it... hmm, like how your ’Foresight’ is a weaker version of a certain legendary skill...]

Hearing Kai’s words, Lia was surprised.

’My talent ’Absolute Precognition’ is a weaker version of a legendary skill? That’s the first time I ever heard about it...’

’What’s the actual legendary skill related to this talent then?’

Lia was excited to know about the legendary skill, as she felt like she might be able to awaken it in the future if she already had a prototype of it with her, but Kai shook his head and replied in a solemn tone,

[Some things... are better left unknown; once you know about it, you can never go back to your original ignorance state...]

[It’s better for you to not know about ’that’ legendary skill, perhaps. one day when you finally become a demi-god, I can tell you about it, but not now...]

Hearing Kai’s words, Lia sighed and didn’t ask any further questions.

Although she was excited to know about the legendary skill that she could possibly awaken, after Kai’s warning, she didn’t ask about it any further, as she trusted Kai’s advice a lot.

...

The conversation between Lia and Kia happened through telepathy and didn’t even take a full second, so Rahn didn’t even notice anything amiss at all.

Kai narrowed his eyes as he looked at Rahn and spoke in a teasing tone.

”Hoh? To think you are wandering around in these remote areas General Rahn, it seems you have a lot of free time these days...”

Hearing Kai’s reply, Rahn frowned as a look of anger appeared in his eyes.

”You are the one to talk; why is someone like you, who’s never interested in the affairs of the mortal world, suddenly helping these pests!”

”Don’t tell me that after finding a master, the mighty divine general has grown a benevolent and kind heart too?”

At Rahn’s words, Kai rolled his eyes as he replied,

”What if I say I did become kind? Will you believe me?”

Rahn immediately burst out laughing in anger after hearing Kai’s words.

”AHAHAHAH!!!! THE MOST RUTHLESS BEING ON THIS PLANET DARES TO SAY HE’S KIND!!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!!”

”You literally eat dragons for lunch and purify demons by beating them to death just for passing time! And you DARE to say that you have a kind heart!?”

”Bullsh*t!! I literally saw you gobble down a newborn dragon after killing his mother right in front of it just a year ago!”

Hearing the demon’s accusations, Lia narrowed her eyes and looked at Kai before saying,

’Do you have some personal grudge with dragons? Why do you target them so much?’

Lia had been to the dragon valley, and she knew that there weren’t any corrupted dragons there and most of them were lazy, peace-loving creatures that didn’t want to bother themselves with the outside world.

Kai even once said that he only hunted them down because of Tomar, but the truth seems to be completely different; Kai has been fond of killing dragons since thousands of years ago!

No wonder so many dragons and other people who knew him looked at him with suspicious eyes whenever they sensed his presence.

[Err... I have no personal grudge with them... it’s just whenever I see them... I have this sudden urge to eat them...]

[Can you blame me though? Those fatty lizards have such delicious meat; the taste is simply heavenly... ahem!... cough!....]

Ignoring Kai’s weird hobbies, Lia raised her sword and pointed it towards Rahn before declaring in a loud voice,

”No matter what the demon army’s motive of invading this place be, I will not let you all harm the fairy race...”

”Either you all leave on your own or face death by my sword! The choice is yours to make!”

Hearing Lia’s words, Rahn took his stance as she replied coldly,

”The choice is simple! The fairy race, this group of annoying pests, must die and go extinct!”

”Unless this goal is achieved, we demons will never let the fairies live a single day in peace!”

The moment Rahn spoke those words, more portals opened, and an even bigger demon army poured out of those portals as three more S-rankers appeared to support Rahn.

”You are really going all out... are you deploying an entire division of the demon army just to deal with one person now?”

At Kai’s words, Rahn sneered as he looked straight into Lia’s eyes and spoke,

”No cost is too high when fighting the chosen master of the strongest divine spirit general in the world!”

”Thankfully she’s not grown up yet... if I let her grow up, she will surely become a major problem for the entire demon race just like you are!”

”I must uproot this new sapling of yours before it can turn into an unshakeable tree!”

[Acqua Manipulatio!]

[Sea Monster Sword Art: Whale Type: Sea Wave!]

With a single swing of his broadsword, Rahn created a massive tsunami, a massive sea wave that rushed towards Lia with a force equal to a natural disaster!

”This is!?”

[’Acqua Manipulatio,’ a weaker form of the legendary skill ’Atomic Flow,’ which is a manifestation of the ’Law’ of ’Water’ in the ’world’...]

[Unlike the legendary skill that can control all atoms and things in the world to make them flow like water and use it, this weaker version boosts the user’s water elemental capabilities to the extreme levels!]

Hearing Kai’s words, Lia immediately understood the severity of the situation.

That massive tsunami created from the water elementals in the area was strong enough to completely destroy the entire temple of nature and kill hundreds of thousands of fairies in a matter of seconds!

Thus, Lia could not dodge it and had to stop it with her own power!

[Divine Spirit’s Blessing: Divine Purification: Spear of Light!]

[Divine Spirit’s Blessing: Gravity Manipulation: Cosmic Repel!]

Lia immediately summoned a massive spear made up of divine purification magic and then used gravity to enhance its speed and effects before launching it straight towards the incoming tsunami!

*BAMMMM!!!*

The massive spear of light collided with the tsunami head-on and, using its gravitational magic, shattered the overwhelming force of the tsunami that was driving it to move forward, causing the water to lose force and settle down without causing too much harm!

The spear of light didn’t stop there, though; after shattering the tsunami head-on, it rushed straight towards Rahn, who waved his sword slightly and shattered the spear into pieces!

*BOOOM!!*

”You are not the only one who can use spears like that!”

[Acqua Manipulatio!]

[Sea Monster Sword Art: Octopus Type: Rain of Dark Ink!]

Using his natural affinity with miasma and corruption, the demon mixed miasma in his water-type attack, and as he raised the sword towards the sky, raindrops in the shape of small spears started raining!

Those raindrops were so fast that they could travel at Mach 10, and each of them had miasma mixed in with that water, making them even more lethal!

’He’s purposely targeting the retreating fairies to put me in a disadvantage!’

Just when Lia was about to use her power to defend the fairies, Nine came, rushed at her, and punched at Lia, forcing Lia to defend with her sword!

*BAMMM!!*

With so much vitality absorbed in his body, Nine had become so strong by now that his punch was strong enough to blow Lia away into the ground even after blocking it properly!

Seeing that Lia was unable to stop the miasmic rain, Kai hurriedly waved his hand as he used his powers at a very small output!

*SHOOOM!!!*

With a single wave of his paw, Kai blew away the entire miasmic rain with just the force of the wind pressure alone!
