Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 611: S-rank Dungeon, A Forgotten Nation. Part-6.

[I have a feeling that I know something about this dungeon but... strangely I can’t seem to remember it properly...]

[This is very odd...]

Lia was surprised that Kai, who was good at remembering things and was a powerful divine spirit, forgot about something.

’My father seems to have entered this dungeon quite a few times, and he’s still alive. That means that it can still be conquered, right?’

[Well... how do I say... it’s just that for some reason, I can’t evaluate this dungeon... usually, you would get mana fluctuation or elemental density fluctuations...]

[All these things help measure a dungeon’s risk and rank... but for some reason, this dungeon has really powerful spatial fluctuations... they are so strong that if your father hadn’t been blocking them...]

[You would have been blown away the moment you entered this hall...]

’He’s blocking the spatial fluctuations for me?... how come I didn’t notice it with my powerful spiritual sense?’

[Err... he’s not doing it actively; it’s just that he’s so muscular and big that when you walk behind him, you automatically get a meat shield blocking the danger in front of you...]

Hearing those words, Lia almost burst out laughing, but she managed to keep herself calm because she didn’t want to anger her father.

’Well, I do want a challenge; even if this dungeon proves to be dangerous, I still need to go inside... I want to reach rank S this time after all...’

”It can mold itself according to a person’s need... how did the awakener’s association let you keep such a good dungeon all to yourself?”

James smirked at that question and replied,

”Nobody knows that it can actually mould itself to the challenger’s needs... this theory was made by me myself actually...”

”I was the first one to find it and enter it... only I have entered it more than one time...”

James told Lia about the dungeon in great detail, and according to him, the dungeon seemed to work with a very unique set of rules.

If a person conqueror this dungeon, it won’t let the same person enter it again, but if they enter it with someone else, they are allowed in.

And then the dungeon would use both the first challenger and the person accompanying them both as reference points to mold itself in such a form that it would provide enough challenge for both challengers!

In other words, as long as you bring a new person with you every time to enter this dungeon, you can keep challenging it again and again!

James has done it many times over in the past decades with many top members of the guild.

The members of the guild have only entered the dungeon once, but James has entered it many times; thus, only he knows its changes. Others are unaware of it.

Now Lia is the second person who has come to know about the secrets of this dungeon aside from James himself!

The awakener’s association still only considers this dungeon as a normal S-rank dungeon that opens often at the same place with a new interior every time.

There are various kinds of dungeons in the world; some dungeons appear only once, and after killing the boss, they disappear, and all the people inside are ejected back outside.

Some dungeons remain stable even after the main boss dies and remain open permanently and are thus used for ore mining and other things.

Then there are dungeons that disappear once the boss dies, but then they reappear in the same location, just with a new interior, with new monsters and a boss inside them!

The very existence of dungeon gates themselves is very bizarre, and many scientists and wise people have been speculating about their origins for centuries now, but nobody knows for sure where they originate from and what they actually are.

Thus, these bizarre phenomena and varied ways of appearing are all a mystery to the people of the world.

This dungeon is also such a unique case of bizarre phenomena manifestation.

It’s a permanent dungeon where even if the boss dies, it will still remain intact, but the weird thing is that its interior still changes, and new bosses appear in it over and over again despite it not disappearing like other dungeons.

But James has kept this matter secret from the awakener’s association.

The association has many SS-rankers working for it, and thus they are capable of easily noticing the opening of powerful dungeon gates inside the solar system!

As long as an A-rank or above-level dungeon gate appears anywhere in the solar system, peak SS-rankers can easily notice it in just a matter of seconds!

Also, there are powerful legendary artifacts that can keep an eye on the opening of powerful dungeons inside the solar system.

This is the main reason why low-rank gates often end up causing dungeon breaks because weaker dungeon gates are difficult to notice due to their weak spatial fluctuations.

But stronger dungeon gates never cause dungeon breaks, usually, as they are noticed on time and cleared before they can even do a dungeon break.

Even when considering the scenario of a dungeon break, ’Forgotten World’ is a unique, bizarre dungeon that doesn’t seem to be capable of causing a dungeon break.

Its spatial fluctuations do not travel far and just revolve in circles around itself, causing this weird circular cave formation underground.

Due to this, SS-rankers never notice its presence until someone tries to enter it and causes disruptions in its spatial fluctuation fields!

And since James only enters it occasionally, spatial fluctuations only escape occasionally, and SS-rankers notice the dungeon only at that time!

But since James and his guild have already reserved this dungeon and this location as their own permanently, nobody interferes with them.

Thus, the dungeon remains in possession of the Silver Shadow guild!

”Let’s go! We have a long journey ahead; let’s not waste any more time talking here...”

With a smile on his face, James led the way, and Lia flew with him as they both entered the dungeon together!
