Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 645: I will not retreat Again... Part-4.

”You seem quite distracted today, Divine General~ I can’t believe someone as strong as you has been reduced to such a pathetic state!”

”AHAHAHH!!! YOU CAN’T EVEN FIGHT BACK!!! AHAHAHH!!!”

Rahn was having the best day of his life at the moment while Lia was struggling to fight his subordinates and Nine.

Kai, who was looking in Lia’s direction with a concerned look on his face, could only sigh in helplessness.

’I can’t use any powerful attacks when she’s stuck in that bitter fight; if I use any powerful attacks, it will put a burden on her and cause her to lose concentration from that battle...’

In such a high-intensity battle where hundreds of attacks were being used every single second, a single mistake and a single loss of concentration for even just one millisecond were enough to decide victory and loss.

With so many high-ranking demons attacking her at the same time while working in perfect coordination, Lia didn’t even have the opportunity to breathe properly, let alone do anything else.

’Here mana is depleting at a very fast rate...’

If it was any other time, Lia could have easily replenished her mana by drinking another high-grade mana potion, but the continuous onslaught of so many powerful attackers didn’t give her enough time to do something like that right now.

Kai had already reduced his original massive size by many times, and now he was only three meters tall and was in a much weaker form than the one he had descended with before.

This was not because he wanted to reduce his body size to better fight Rahn in close range; it was mainly because the bigger his size, the more mana he would consume from Lia and the faster she would lose this battle.

Thus, he had to divert most of his own spirit magic and mana back to Lia so that she could keep up with those five fellows bashing her continuously with attacks.

His current form was only strong enough to keep Rahn restrained and busy at most.

”I must acknowledge... that being shackled like this is not unpleasant at all... but I am got myself in this mess while knowing that this kind of situation will come someday...”

”So, I am not as upset as you making me out to be...”

Hearing Kai’s response, Rahn laughed and mocked Kai even more.

”BAHAHAHAH!!!! I REALLY LIKE THAT HELPLESS LOOK ON YOUR FACE, YOU SH*TTY LION BAST*RD!!! BAHAHAHAH!!!”

”I SWEAR THOSE DRAGONS SHOULD SEE YOU LIKE THIS, THEY WOULD ALL BE LAUGHING THEIR A*S OFF RIGHT NOW SEEING YOU LIKE THIS! BAHAHAHAH!!!!!”

At that mockery-filled voice, Kai could only shake his head in disappointment.

Rahn was still living in the age of the long-gone past, while Kai, on the other hand, had seen the world for more than two millennia now.

He was much calmer and more patient than ever before now.

’Well, that fellow Tomar was also a weirdo who often used to get in dangerous situation because of his arrogant nature and massive ego...’

After staying with Tomar and going through enough tribulations, Kai was already used to seeing difficult situations like these and facing troubles in his power manifestation during the early stages of his master’s growth.

Lia was also facing the same situation.

Her situation was similar to a weak child who ended up getting their hands on a shotgun all of a sudden and tried to use it when they couldn’t even hold it properly.

Lia was still too weak to handle the ’recoil’ of this powerful shotgun that was ’Kai’; she was unable to properly unleash his full power as of yet.

”It is indeed true that she’s currently a shackle for me... but...”

A grin appeared on Kai’s face as he declared in a confident tone,

”But... you are just looking at the present... you are not able to see what I am seeing...”

”This simple girl you are mocking and underestimating, she will soon be powerful enough to crush the likes of you with a single flick of her finger...”

”And yes, I am being generous when I say a single finger; perhaps she might not even need to lift a finger after all. Fellows like you who can only manifest ’defective’ products as skills are not worth much value...”

Kai’s tone and the word ’defective’ seemed to have struck a nerve perfectly, and the laugh from Rahn’s face disappeared right away, completely replaced by only one emotion.

And that was ’Boundless Rage’!

”KAWAKI!!!!!! HOW DARE YOU CALL ME DEFECTIVE!!!!!!??? I WILL KILL YOU!!!!!”

As if a cloud had burst nearby, a massive amount of dark, corrosive seawater fell from the sky, and the towering waves crushed everything that came in their way!

The ground was flattened; all humans and demons in the area were drowned and crushed under the pressure of the water!

Hundreds of sea waves came crashing at Kai as if the sea itself had decided to consider Kai its enemy and its boundless rage was going to devour Kai whole alive!

’ERR... I might have taunted him a bit too much accidentally... Have my taunting skills leveled up recently? I only used some basic taunts and he already couldn’t withstand it?...’

Kai had perfected his taunting skills by insulting dragons in various creative ways, so it was not surprising that he also had a full list of words prepared exclusively for taunting demons as well.

But even he didn’t expect that a simple slur would end up angering Rahn this much.

Looking at Temple of Nature below and sensing that there were still many fairies that hadn’t evacuated, Kai could only shake his head and sigh.

”Sigh... I guess I have no other choice but to abandon them-”

Just as Kai was about to abandon the fairies and the temple to their fate, he suddenly got an order from Lia that changed his mind.
