Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 638: The Empress of War! Part-1.

Unlike other dungeons where you have to just deal with monsters and clear the boss room to complete the dungeon.

This peak S-rank dungeon was completely different.

It was almost as if it had thrust Lia back in time, and she had arrived right on time when the fall of Kenorland, the great city of flowers, was just about to begin.

She was witnessing history happen with her own eyes, and the dungeon had now presented a ’choice’ in front of her.

It was as if the dungeon was asking her, What will you do now? How will you change history? How will you react to this dilemma, and whose side will you take?

Standing in mid-air, Lia could see a massive human army marching inside the bounds of Kenorland in an orderly rhythm.

Several mages and powerful wind elemental users flew in the sky above the army; Lia could even feel the space-time stabilize due to space-time stabilizing anchors being used in the area.

There were also hundreds of elemental suppression debuffs put on all the residents of the city of Kenorland, and even Lia was hit by several debuffs as the army invaded.

At the forefront, a tall man with an eye patch covering his left eye and a big cigar in his mouth flew forward at a relaxed pace, his eyes immediately locked onto Lia, and a weird smile appeared on his face.

”Hoh? A royal fairy? Didn’t expect there to be one in this small hidden city near the coast... oh, well, there’s the ’Grand Temple of Nature’ and the ’Fountain of Elemental Life’ here...”

”It’s not too strange to have a royal fairy either... it’s a nice side bonus, I guess...”

Although the other party didn’t speak too loudly, Lia was able to hear it all loud and clear with her extraordinary hearing capabilities, even from far away.

”An S-ranker... and seems like a very skilled one at that...”

Lia wasn’t surprised that the other party mistook her for a royal fairy; she had actually used Kai’s power to mimic the aura fluctuations of fairies on purpose so that she wouldn’t be recognized as a human.

[This is going to be difficult... fighting a single S-ranker, we could still handle it but if he has the support of an entire army, things will get tricky...]

Just when Lia was about to say something, another powerful aura suddenly appeared on the battlefield from a completely different direction.

*Whoooom!!!*

A massive portal opened in the opposite direction of the human army, and a powerful S-rank demon walked out of it.

And to make matters worse, hundreds of thousands of lower-rank demons and various kinds of demons also started pouring out of that giant teleportation portal one by one.

The very moment the demon leading that demon army arrived, its eyes immediately locked on to Lia and the human S-ranker.

”And here I thought, why were so many humans rushing to this location... no wonder! There’s not only a royal fairy here; there’s an entire nest of these flying pests in this place!”

”AHAHAHAHAH!!! TODAY I WILL BE ABLE TO RAMPAGE TO MY HEART’S CONTENT!! AHAHAHAHAH!!!!”

To Lia’s shock, dozens of peak A-rank demons spilled out of the portal and made the situation even more dire than it already was.

Looking at this situation, Lia thought to herself,

’No wonder Kenorland didn’t manage to protect its legendary artifacts and its lands... to think both human and demon armies laid siege on them at the same time...’

’Even modern cities equipped with powerful defensive artifacts and S-rankers stationed in them won’t be able to defend against such a powerful siege unless they use powerful technologies and artifacts...’

[This doesn’t seem like a situation we can handle... do you still want to fight?]

Hearing Kai’s words, Lia smiled and spoke,

’If I retreated now, I will always live in fear; the moment I decided to become an awakener, I already knew that I had to walk of a dangerous ’Path’ from now on...’

’There’s no retreating after coming this far; it’s either I die trying or I adapt and become stronger by overcoming this challenge...’

[Haha, I knew you would say that...]

While Lia and Kai were talking, Nova and several other fairies flew out of the temple and from various other places and appeared beside Lia.

Nova looked at Lia with a confused look on her face and asked,

”You are a human, right? Unless you are willing to fight for the fairy race, why are you still here? Shouldn’t you leave now?”

”If you stay here too long, you will get caught up in this mess...”

Hearing Nova’s words, Lia unsheathed her sword and spoke,

”Of course, I am going to fight for the fairy race... don’t you see these big fairy wings of mine...”

Lia pointed her sword at the human and the powerful demon both before declaring loudly,

”I am Lia Silver, a royal fairy. I hereby warn thee: Retreat or Die!”

Nova’s eyes widened in shock; a look of excitement appeared on the demon’s face while the human threw away his cigar and replied in a solemn tone.

”I am ’Nine,’ the commander of the Ninth Superhuman Combat Force. It’s a pleasure to meet you your royal highness...”

”Pardon my rudeness, but you must fall today and your people shall surrender or they will all be slaughtered today...”

Lia shook her head as she increased the output of her spiritual magic and summoned her silver armor to cover her entire body.

”Seize Thine Complaints!”

”As one of Royal Standing, I have ne’er known retreat or yielded mine ground...”

As the silver helmet slowly covered her entire face, Lia pointed her sword at the enemies while declaring in a proud tone,

”Make me retreat, if thou canst.”

[Divine Spirit’s Blessing: Spirit Ascension: Spirit Merge!]

A massive amount of mana and spiritual magic concentrated around Lia as her aura became denser and stronger.

Nine, who was still relaxed until now, felt goosebumps appear on his whole body as a chill ran down his spine.

Even the low-rank, mindless demons were pressed straight to the ground and became unable to move due to Lia’s sheer aura and its pressure.

The demon, who was smiling excitedly until now, also became serious as he brought out his bow and spoke,

”I am Trnak, a warrior from the dark ogre tribe; I challenge your highness for a battle!”

Hearing the challenge, Lia flew forward and stood in front of all the fairies as if she were protecting them all behind her.

Her voice rang out in the entire area as she taunted in a calm voice,

”Come at me...”

With that declaration, the ’Battle for Kenorland’ was ignited; hundreds of thousands of demons, monsters, and humans all attacked the temple of fairies together while also attacking each other at the same time too.

Although fairies were the target of both sides, humans and demons didn’t like each other either, so a significant number of humans’ cannons and weapons were redirected in the direction of the rushing demon army and opened fire!

The flow of mana and the flow of miasma brought by demons both collided with each other and created bizarre phenomena that shook the spatial fluctuations as the battle began!
