Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 647: I will not retreat Again... Part-6.

*Cough!* *Cough!!*

Lia coughed up massive amounts of blood, her eyes went bloodshot, and even her ears started bleeding.

Her helmet that had been shattered by the demons once again was now completely missing, as Lia didn’t bother to create it again, as she lacked mana to continue maintaining it.

Aside from the helmet, she also removed the cape and leg guards, completely focusing the defense on her torso and her hands alone.

Even her internal organs felt like they were turning into mush and were about to shatter from the sheer burden placed upon her soul and body by Kai’s power’s massive power usage.

As Lia wiped the blood from her lips, she laughed at her own weakness.

’It’s still quite early for me to spam powerful city-destroying attacks like Rio and Link... that one alone placed so much burden; I nearly died for the second time today and both times it was from my own powers...’

’What a joke...’

While mocking herself in her mind, Lia swung her sword to the left and deflected the incoming spear thrust that was about to pierce her left eye and shatter her skull.

*Screeekk!!!*

The sound of metal colliding with metal and sparks flying in the air sounded as the demon lost his balance after Lia deflected his sudden spear strike, and she immediately punched him in the stomach, sending him flying far away once again!

Before Lia could rejoice, though, Nine came rushing from behind and punched her with all his might, but Lia bent her waist slightly to the side and bent her knees to duck down.

The moment Lia dodged, the hammer demon’s hammer completely missed and hit Nine instead, causing him to be blasted off into the sky like a rocket!

Lia didn’t miss this chance; she pointed her sword’s tip toward the legs of the hammer demon while sitting on the ground and opened fire.

[Divine Spirit’s Blessing: Divine Purification: Particle Beam of Annihilation!]

Unlike before, Lia’s output had fallen, and her beam attack was now weaker, but it was still strong enough to completely evaporate the demon’s leg once it hit directly!

But to Lia’s dismay, an arrow coated in dense miasma came flying forcefully, tilted Lia’s sword’s tip to the side at the last minute, and barely saved the hammer demon!

The powerful beam only managed to graze the demon’s right leg slightly, and a massive part of his leg was completely burnt away in a ’C’ shape, causing the demon to shriek in pain and fall on the ground!

”Tch, these long-ranged attackers are the most annoying...”

Long-range attackers are very difficult to deal with, at least for Lia. It was not because she was a sword user and all sword users were on a disadvantageous side when facing archers and mages at long range.

The main reason why she was at a disadvantage was because long-range attackers like the demon mage and that demon archer were people who fought from very far away.

And Lia’s prediction skill had a range and a time limit.

Often times, either these long-range attackers are too far out of her range.

And by the time their attack reached her prediction range, it would end up reaching so close that it would become nearly unavoidable!

The attacks of these long-range attackers relied highly on speed, and although Lia was also quite fast, she was still not capable of dealing with desperate attacks of a peak S-rank demon so easily.

The spear demon, the hammer demon, and Nine were not as much of a threat to her as that bow user.

[Divine Spirit’s Blessing: Divine Magic: Spears of Light!]

[Divine Spirit’s Blessing: Gravity Manipulation: Gravitational Lock!]

Using increased gravity to create a powerful gravitational lock in a massive area in the direction where the archer was hiding, Lia fired hundreds of spears made up of pure divine magic in the fellow’s direction!

’That should keep him busy for a while-’

Just when Lia was feeling a bit relieved, she was hit by a powerful attack from behind and felt immense pain in her back as she got smashed into the ground!

*BAMMM!!!*

”No wonder you kept dodging my attacks and humiliating me again and again! You are able to predict others’ attacks!”

That backstabber was none other than the spear demon, which Lia had been easily blocking and beating until now.

For some reason, Lia wasn’t able to predict him attacking her this time, and she soon realized the reason for it too.

’This f*cker! He willingly offered his soul to miasmic corruption!!’

With the corner of her eye, Lia could see the fellow’s feet that were originally covered in armor but were now radiating with a massive amount of miasmic corruption!

Even his presence had become insanely disorienting!

Just to deal damage to Lia, this demon willingly sacrificed his own soul, offering it to miasmic corruption, and with miasmic corruption’s help, he acquired the ability to interfere with Lia’s prediction ability for a small period of time!

This way he was easily able to stab Lia in the back with his spear when she was focused on attacking the archer with divine magic spears!

His spear shattered the weakened armor and pierced right through Lia’s back, with its tip appearing out of her stomach from the front!

’Ugh.... This is bad...’

Seeing that Lia was finally restrained and became vulnerable, the hammer demon who was fuming with rage and hatred limped towards Lia with his massive hammer dragging behind him.

And Lia could even sense Nine rushing towards her direction from far away!

The situation went from unfavorable to completely against her in just a matter of mere seconds due to just one mistake!

One single mistake was enough to completely change the direction of a battle, and the mistake of not keeping her vigilance high for one moment caused her to become helpless!

As the massive hammer came crashing down at her skull, time seemed to have slowed down; Lia could already predict herself getting killed right there as she was unable to dodge properly in this situation.

”Die you annoying f*cker!!!”
