Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 633: Endless Greed, Endless Cruelty. Part-1.

While Lia and Kai were busy chatting on their own, Nova snapped out of her daze, and only then did she notice the poor little girl Bela, who was trembling in fear and trying to hide herself under the bench.

”Bela, come out, you don’t need to be afraid...”

”This human is chosen and trusted by the divine spirit general himself; there’s no way she will bring you any harm. You can come out...”

The little girl Bela refused to come out of her hiding spot despite being convinced several times.

Seeing the situation, Lia walked over and sat down on the ground not too far from the bench, placed Kai on the ground, and pushed him towards the little girl.

”Hello, little one... I am Lia Silver. I am here to make friends with you... See, even this little kitty is such good friends with me. Would you also like to become friends with the cat?”

Seeing little Bela tremble and not speak, Kai rolled his eyes and followed Lia’s order to act and started walking towards the little girl.

*Meow~*

While meowing softly, Kai sat down beside Bela and let his fat, soft cat body touch her palm.

Touching the fluffy body of the cat made Bela relax a little, and then Lia even put the small golem down.

”See, I even have this little robot toy with me... you want to play with it? It’s called RJ!”

Seeing the little golem, Bela became a bit interested, and the moment Lia put him down, she immediately snatched him and hugged him with her small arms!

”Hello, I am RJ, a little golem. I am a powerful warrior robot!”

Hearing the little golem’s voice, Bela’s eyes shone brightly with curiosity, and the fear and panic finally disappeared from her face.

After a few reassuring words, Bela agreed to come out, and she even let Lia pat her small head without running away.

Seeing this situation, Nova shook her head and spoke with a wry smile on her face.

”No wonder even a divine spirit general was tamed by you so easily... it took me so many days to make friends with that little girl and get her to open up to me...”

”But you made her life yours in just a few minutes... you are really something, Lia Silver...”

Lia smiled at Nova’s words and replied,

”Haha, It’s just I have faced such situation before... you can say I am experienced...”

Lia had a certain mean boyfriend who liked to tease her a lot from day to night!

Often times she ends up getting angry at his never-ending teasing, but Rio is such a skilled manipulator that he always comes up with various tricks to make up with Lia again.

Not only does he know everything she likes, but he can even create new things that she might come to like, and after seeing all these tricks for so long, even Lia has come to learn a few by now.

’Sigh... that idiot Rio... hmph! He’s so good making people happy that I always end up forgetting that I was angry at him just a few moments ago...’

Despite having an expressionless face, despite looking like someone who had no emotions at all, Rio was extremely skilled and knowledgeable about how to accurately and precisely understand others’ emotions.

Whenever he teased Lia, he always knew where to stop and where to retreat so that she wouldn’t get angry at him.

He always knew the perfect balance of joking and going too far; that was exactly one of the main reasons why he was always able to keep defeating Lia in teasing battles!

’Hehe... just you wait Demon King Rio; the day when I defeat you is not too far away...’

Stroking Bela’s head, Lia felt quite happy that she had become better at handling people and emotions nowadays.

”By the way... Bela is human, right? How did she end up in Kenorland?”

Hearing Lia’s question, Nova sighed and replied,

”Kenorland is located on the northern coast of the Fairy Kingdom, and ocean here is filled with powerful and dangerous monsters that rampage almost daily...”

”Reckless ship captains who try to travel through these dangerous waters often end up getting destroyed and the ship wreckage of such ships wash up on our coasts often...”

Nova looked at Bela playing with the little golem with a happy look on her face and spoke.

”I found Bela in a sealed chest three months ago and brought her into Kenorland... she’s been here since then...”

”Humans and demons have started attacking the Fairyland since past month or so and thus I have been unable to send her back to the human empire...”

The moment Bela heard that Nova wanted to send her back to the human empire, she immediately trembled and denied vigorously.

”N-no.. I-I won’t got back.. t-they took mom... th-they took away dad... no.. no...”

Hearing Bela’s words, Nova shook her head.

”The main reason I haven’t sent her back is also because she seems to not like the idea of going back... perhaps those humans did something to her parents...”

Hearing those words, Lia also nodded her head.

”Humans are not all good people and even I acknowledge that... sending her back alone might not be a good idea...”

’More so because in this time period, King Allen has yet to appear and establish a united world... I have read in history that before King Allen was born, the world was filled with chaos...’

’And even humanity was divided in various groups that disliked each other and fought each other frequently...’

Only after King Allen appeared did the chaos in the world get suppressed and a combined front against demons get created.

That era was still far from this time, so it was not a good idea to trust anyone.

”By the way, why have humans invaded Fairyland? I train with Spirit General Kai in seclusion, so I don’t know much about the world... can you tell me?”

Hearing Lia’s words Nova nodded her head and spoke,

”Their main motive is the same as demons... they want our legendary artifacts but unlike demons who kill us and hate us because of our healing magic...”

”Humans are greedy for our healing capabilities... so they have come up with something called ’Benevolent Fairy Powder’...”
