Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1044: Killing Iskar Haygaiden

Iskar was in utter shock. This was the first time he had seen something so magical. It could even stop his contract. What exactly was this ability? How could it stop his attack?

Anubis couldn’t help but squint his eyes. This was the first time he had seen something so magical. This contract seemed to be much more versatile than he originally thought. It could even assume Nathan’s identity for a few seconds.

It became a safety net for Nathan. Of course, if it were an attack that would bring massive destruction, this kind of contract might not be useful. However, the contract had no problem in taking the hit for the curse.

Of course, Nathan had to pay the ena, but anyone would probably not mind paying only 10,000 ena in exchange for their life. Even if it didn’t endanger their lives, Anubis didn’t think removing that kind of curse was something easy to do. At the very least, 10,000 ena was too little to be considered, especially in their current situation.

Nathan, after all, had more than 800,000 ena. Losing some wouldn’t kill him. It was fortunate that Nathan could think of something so clever in such a short time.

Nevertheless, since the attack had been nullified, the situation changed again.

Iskar, now knowing that his curse wouldn’t be effective anymore, couldn’t help but wonder if he had any method left to deal with Nathan. He had sacrificed his leg, arm, and eye, but none of them worked.

On the other hand, Nathan looked more and more terrifying from the absolute ice element to that contract.

”Kh.” Iskar started to panic. He had to run. If this continued, he would be the one to die. He could afford to lose some limbs, but his life was what mattered the most.

However, his situation became even more terrible when the entire battlefield had turned in Nathan’s favor.

On the left side, Fenrir screamed in pain. ”Aaaahhhh!”

At first, it looked like Fenrir would die at any moment because his body was covered in dark energy, but this energy was the last trump card that the demon lord had.

”Fenrir?” Sera squinted her eyes. She activated her power to the maximum to weaken the curse, and Fenrir shook the curse off his body. ”That’s painful indeed.”

The demon lord watched Fenrir in horror. He never thought his strongest curse would be useless against Fenrir.

Fenrir simply approached his opponent, who had been lying on the ground, and raised his paw. ”You were strong. I had my fun, but it’s over.”

Fenrir struck down the demon lord. Iskar didn’t even realize the demon lord had died due to Nathan’s relentless attack.

Not far from Fenrir, the mosquito finally fell to the ground. It created a blood barrier, but this time, Nidhogg let out a breath, overwhelming the blood barrier. It wouldn’t take long before Nidhogg killed this mosquito.

On the other side, Brunhild had sliced the specter in two as Jinwu released his sunbeam, extinguishing the specter.

Peng, Mae, and Orochi looked like they still needed more time, but Jinwu and Fenrir alone were definitely enough to crush Iskar.

”Heh. To think I would finish at the same time as you.” Jinwu snorted.

”I was supposed to be the one saying those words. But this is not important right now.” Fenrir harrumphed.

”Yeah.”

Jinwu and Fenrir turned to Iskar.

Iskar, who noticed his summoning link vanished, especially the link to his lifebound familiar, panicked. ”What?”

How could he be in this predicament? He should have won. His strength was superior to Nathan’s. Even if Nathan had two more familiars, he still could win... No, he should have crushed Nathan, who was only a grandmaster.

Yet, not only did he fail to crush Nathan, he was about to be defeated by him. His familiars, who were supposed to defeat their respective opponents before helping him, got defeated because of the reinforcement.

”No!” Iskar looked around. Since Orochi, Mae, and Peng still needed some time to take down their respective opponents, he should be able to get away from that direction.

He used the last bit of his strength to boost his right foot and leaped to the right.

”Anubis, Qilin!” Nathan shouted while shooting his bullets to the sky.

Anubis and Qilin surrounded him from two sides while Nathan’s bullets overtook him and were about to rain down on his front. If he continued, he would be taken down by this rain.

But if he stopped, Anubis and Qilin would come for him. Nathan would be chasing after him as well.

Frustrated, Iskar halted his step. As expected, Anubis and Qilin came from both sides.

”Go!” Finally, Anubis summoned his guardians, making sure that Iskar couldn’t come to him. Still, this guardian was a bit too weak for Iskar. If Iskar wanted to defeat them, he could do it in just a few seconds.

But Qilin had activated his hexagram, ready to intercept him as well.

Nathan chased after Iskar and formed the Time Seal magic. He gathered a few bullets and combined them before firing at Iskar.

With this, there was no escape for Iskar.

”You bastard. Since you’re going to push me this much, you’re going to die with me!” Iskar shouted in anger. ”I sacrifice my body and my life! Death Curse!”

This time, the curse became even more complete. It was like a reaper coming from the underworld.

The curse split the beam from Nathan with its scythe before flying toward Nathan.

Nathan could feel the immense strength of the curse, but Iskar underestimated the innate ability too much... No, to be precise, he didn’t know anything about the innate ability.

There was a reason the innate ability was considered a legend. It was because its strength had gone beyond the world’s logic.

Nathan, once again, formed the contract that gave his existence to the contract for several seconds.

The curse came after the contract and sliced it in two before disappearing as though the curse had been completed, which was taking Nathan’s life.

”What was that...” Iskar could only look at Nathan in horror. But his time was over. Another curse formed above him. ”No. Wait...”

Iskar turned around, looking at the manifestation of his curse. Since the curse on Nathan had been fulfilled, it was time for him to fulfill his agreement as well. ”NOOOO!”

Iskar screamed, but there was nothing he could do as his curse sliced him. There was no visible wound from the slice, but his body suddenly dried up, leaving only a skeleton covered in skin without any flesh or blood.
