Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1006: The Reason for Bloody Banquet

“What’s the reason for their arrival here?”

This was probably the most important question. If they knew their reason, they would be able to figure out how to proceed next.

However, Lucas answered, “I don’t know.”

“…” Nathan closed his eyes for a moment, feeling a bit disappointed.

Evelyn, on the other hand, was unwilling to take this kind of answer. She bit her lips as if she was about to lash out her frustration at him.

Nathan, on the other hand, stopped her by saying, “I guess that makes sense. Although we don’t know their true objective, we know what truly happened in the Bloody Banquet.”

“What do you mean?” Evelyn furrowed her eyebrows.

“What I mean is how they operated and from that… maybe their goal?” Nathan squinted his eyes.

“Explain it to me… No, sorry. Please explain it to me. This frustration angers me. I can’t think straight.” Evelyn sighed.

“I can understand that. However, it is clear that those guys had been around for much longer.

“With all the information we have right now, it’s clear they were not from here. In that case, how about Garam Haygaiden?”

“Don’t tell me.” Evelyn’s body shook. “They were using him as a guide?”

“Exactly. Since they didn’t have much information about this land, they would want to explore the area around and figure out what to do. That was probably the time they stumbled upon Garam Haygaiden.

“I should probably ask Sage Leyfon whether he is more talented than his fellow disciple or not, but if he is, then jealousy is such a devious thing.

“The reason aside, I’m sure that this group was curious about the power of this place. Hence, they needed something to figure out the current power. And what was even more perfect than…”

“Rising Star Banquet.” Evelyn squinted her eyes.

“That’s right. By watching the power of their younger generation, they could understand what kind of power this place had.

“If I recall correctly, the banquet should be on the last day, right? And during the battle session, it was open to outsiders?”

Evelyn nodded. “Yes. The battle session lasted for two days and was open to outsiders. After all, it was a place for them to show off their strength as well.”

“I can’t help but pity all of you now…” Nathan sighed.

“What are you talking about? Pity?” Evelyn was confused. She could understand if Nathan said ‘sympathize,’ but pity? There was no need for such a thing.

“No. Pity is the correct word.” For the first time, Rood finally opened his mouth.

“!!!” Evelyn turned to Rood, staring at him with a sharp gaze as if demanding an explanation.

Rood let out a long sigh. “If everything I have heard is correct, then those people must have watched the battle session.

“However, do you remember what your generation was called?”

“Golden Generation?”

“Exactly.” Rood nodded. “All of us know you were the golden generation, while the average generation wasn’t supposed to be that high.

“As a result, it caused a misunderstanding for those people. They thought this was the standard for this continent. By roughly calculating your age and potential, they concluded that it was simply too much for them.

“Hence, they chose to weaken the whole generation. How? It was as simple as killing those buds. Other potential buds would also get scared because of this, which was the reason for all four kingdoms to lock this information.

“In other words, the entire thing was caused by a huge misunderstanding. If this was just an average year or something, they would probably not launch an attack. That was why he used the word ‘pity.ʼ”

Evelyn’s body was trembling. She had never thought that a misunderstanding would cause such a horrifying banquet.

“Still, it doesn’t change the fact that they enjoyed killing!” Evelyn gritted her teeth, looking at Nathan as though she wanted to deny his conclusion.

“Of course. You were there and witnessed everything. You understood them more than us. If they were not such barbaric people, you, Bella, my teacher, or anyone else wouldn’t have been so traumatized.

“I merely concluded that they took action because of this misunderstanding. I didn’t say we wouldn’t come and get them.”

Evelyn took a deep breath, having a hard time calming down. “But aren’t they supposed to have this guy or Garam Haygaiden? Shouldn’t they know about us?”

“Lucas was a pawn of a pawn. Do you think he even had a chance to speak?” Nathan shook his head. “As for Garam Haygaiden, do you remember that Sage Leyfon had explained that he was the only one who explored the world to hone his skills, while his fellow disciple remained isolated?”

“!!!” Evelyn finally understood everything. “So, he might not know about it and Lucas didn’t dare to speak up…”

“Yes. That’s my conclusion after getting all this information. I might be wrong, but I believe we should ask it directly to Garam Haygaiden. I can’t see any way to get more information from this guy, at least regarding the Bloody Banquet.”

Evelyn tightened her clutch but soon relaxed her hands. She said, “I know. I will stop here. You should ask for the information related to the Divine Hands. Our original plan won’t change.”

“Of course.” Nathan nodded, assuring her that he would still help her get her revenge, even if this was just a misunderstanding.

Evelyn just leaned back in her chair, not speaking anymore. She wanted to take this time to calm down.

Rood also stopped speaking. He had seen the trauma from all the students in the Liaystian Kingdom, so he knew it was traumatizing.

Since it was his turn, Nathan raised five fingers. “Well, we can’t spend too much time if we don’t want them to escape. So, I will just end this with five questions.

“First question. Tell me all the strength of all the people in the Divine Hand according to the current classification.”

Lucas began to tell everyone’s strengths. Although Nathan’s new classification was still new, almost everyone used it right away since it was just too convenient to use. Even a terrorist organization needed it for efficiency.

And this information made Nathan smile.
