Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1013: Traitor

Divine Hand.

The atmosphere had turned heavy. All executives had been assembled by their master, Garam Haygaiden.

Because of the severity of the situation, even the two people who rarely went to the meeting ended up attending it.

On his right was an old man holding a scepter. Even though he didn’t show any aura that reflected his power, his fighting power was only second to Garam.

On his left was a middle-aged man. Unlike the others, he looked so thin and malnourished. However, when they stared at his eyes, they would feel like their souls were being sucked, so no one really dared to meet his gaze.

“…” Garam’s expression had turned grim. “Lucas hasn’t come back…”

Eyewood gulped down. He explained, “I have been trying to contact him, but there’s no response.”

That explanation made Garam’s face darken. If it were a normal situation, they would just continue their operation normally.

However, Lucas was the one handling their teleportation. If Lucas was gone, no one could utilize their teleportation, meaning they couldn’t leave as easily as it was before.

Sharknell said, “It looks like he has fallen into the enemy’s trap. Although we don’t know what’s going on, the enemy this time might be aiming to slit our throats right away. It looks like that lass, Devia, has also been struck down.”

“If the enemy already knows about us, we might not be able to escape. After all, Sandra and Devia have been outside the whole time…” Wals nodded in agreement. “Do you notice anything?”

Sandra shook her head. “I’m sorry, Elder. I don’t think there was anything weird in the past few months. It’s either the enemy was too skilled for me to notice or they didn’t watch me this whole time.

“Still, I’m slightly perplexed about one thing. I don’t think Jisawn, Daniel, and Kana were the type of people who would reveal our information. Jisawn himself was the master of espionage, so he was someone who chose to commit suicide rather than give any information.

“Daniel might look reckless, but his pride was very high. And hiding that information was a way to keep his pride high.

“Last but not least, Kana. She might look like she has a loose mouth, but she is more tight-lipped than even Jisawn.

“That’s why those three weren’t supposed to reveal any of our information. In that case, how did our enemy know about all this information? How did they even know me or Devia?”

Sharknell squinted his eyes. “Do you mean…”

“Yes. In the past, we could only speculate, but look at this situation right now. They knew we were going to launch our big plan soon, but before it could happen, they ended up attacking us.

“How would they know about the Axia Academy incident right now? Even though the alien test we were doing showed our identity, please look at the time.

“Not long after we do it, the Liaystian Kingdom… this proud kingdom who rarely asks for help immediately got people from the Azilia Kingdom. Why?”

“Maybe you’re just paranoid.” Sharknell shook his head. “Those politicians could do things like that. What we didn’t expect was the medicine.”

“That’s right. If there’s indeed a traitor among us, those people would have found out about our location. At that time, several world class summoners might make their move immediately.” Wals nodded.

Sandra bit her lip. “But it still didn’t explain how they knew about me and Devia.”

“…” They couldn’t deny that point. They weren’t supposed to know these two, so the fact that Devia was also taken down meant they had this information from the beginning.

“You have a point. For additional security, I have also put a curse on each of you, which will take your life if you ever try to reveal our information… But it’s also weird… The curse should have been activated, but all of you are still here.

“That person might have a way to bypass my curse…” Garam finally spoke. “There might be a traitor among us.”

“Still, my lord. If we are too fixated on this, our enemy might be coming to us soon.” Sharknell warned him.

“Even if we leave this place, the enemy will find us again because of that traitor.”

“…” The two elders couldn’t deny it.

“In that case, what are we going to do, my lord? Are we going to remain here and fight? Make some traps on this base? Or are we going to leave this base? We don’t know when they’re coming, so…” Sharknell stopped there, implying that anything could happen at any moment.

“It is simple. We will try to find the traitor now. Then, we will leave this base and execute our plan. Even if they know the medicine, they won’t know the people we’ve kidnapped.

“They might be able to help some people in the academy, but there’s always a random person chosen because of an opportunity. That’s why they won’t be able to save everyone. Those few aliens will create havoc all around the world.

“As for us, we will kill Nathan, the unique summoner, to make an example of him. He tricked us a few months ago, and this time, he will have to pay the price.”

Sharknell nodded in agreement. “Then how are we going to find the traitor?”

“It’s simple.” Garam stood up and turned his head to Sharknell. “Do you trust me?”

“With my life.”

Dark-colored energy started to leak out of his body as Garam pointed his finger at him. The dark energy then flowed toward Sharknell’s body and enveloped his entire body.

“This is a curse that will crush your heart if you lie.” Garam’s expression turned cold. “Sharknell. Are you the traitor? Have you told our enemy our information?”

*Hiss!* The people couldn’t help but suck in cold breath. This method was vicious, but this was the most optimal method in their situation. They could figure out who the traitor was.

It was no wonder Garam asked for his trust first.

Sharknell shook his head with a smile. “I’m not a traitor. I haven’t told our enemy any information.”

With that answer, the dark energy suddenly vanished into thin air.

“Just like this… I’m going to ask every single one of you.” Garam looked at the entire room. “If you dare to lie, then prepare to pay with your life.”
