Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1039: Unexpected Reinforcement

”...” The demon lord was glaring at Fenrir.

Fenrir’s injuries were not light. And Anubis had stopped healing him a few minutes ago, which meant Iskar had pushed them so hard that he couldn’t afford to focus on anything else.

Despite getting covered in injuries and his fur turning red, Fenrir maintained his ferocity. No. Even more amazing was that he maintained his position, which blocked the demon lord from helping Iskar.

The demon lord noticed the enemies had managed to injure Iskar, so he began to feel uneasy. ”Death Curse!”

The burst of energy flew toward Fenrir. If he avoided this, his summoner would get hit by this curse.

Fenrir’s eyes turned bloodshot as he imbued his own divinity and struck the Death Curse as though it had a physical body. He first stopped it. When it looked like he was getting pushed back, Fenrir moved forward and overwhelmed the curse before slamming it to the ground and dispersing it.

”Kh.” The demon lord looked annoyed. ’What’s actually his strength? He keeps hitting my curse as though it is tangible. What a weird ability...’

Fenrir, on the other hand, didn’t feel so good either. Excruciating pain spread from his paw to his entire foot, but he acted as if there was no pain at all.

’As expected, fighting against someone like him is not easy. If only I had 1,000,000 ena as well, I should be able to unleash more of my divinity and crush him completely.

’I guess I have to focus on stopping him here. In the end, there’s a gap between us. Even though we’re supposed to be invincible among grandmaster level summoners, the opponent is an arcane level. Even if they’re weaker than normal, the original quality of their power is still high.’

Fenrir squinted his eyes. Although he wanted to win, he didn’t think he could do it in this situation.

If he glanced to the side, he would see a similar scenario.

Nidhogg managed to use his Chaos Fire, but the Queen of Mosquitoes had a similar ability to the vampire. The blood she controlled was slightly too much even for the Chaos Fire.

Still, his condition wasn’t as bad as Fenrir’s, probably due to the gap between them not being as big as between Fenrir and the demon lord.

Jinwu, on the other hand, had trouble. It was true that he got the elemental advantage and suppressed the shadow, but the Specter used physical ability to overpower Jinwu.

On the other hand, Peng could only remain on the defensive due to his power. If he let the poison affect the area, even Nathan would be in trouble.

That was why he had to keep the poison away by using his wind.

Orochi had the best situation due to his opponent. Unlike other divine beasts, Orochi had eight heads that could act independently, so he got an upper hand against the Orc Shaman.

Still, he had spat a lot of blood due to the soul attack from the Orc Shaman.

Last but not least, Mae. Mae skillfully used her illusion to overwhelm the ancient troll, but this troll had two things that could overwhelm her—his overwhelming physical strength and the artifact that influenced one’s soul.

Despite Mae’s skillful illusion, she had a hard time against the troll. Nathan had to hurry it up if they wanted to win.

Fenrir still had some hope in Selena as well. It looked like Selena had gained the upper hand against Sandra. Ying Zhen was surprising, but it didn’t affect the overall situation because Ying Zhen had to be recalled after defeating his opponent.

Still, Selena was strong enough to defeat Sandra, so she should be able to take care of Sandra. As long as they bought enough time, Selena would join the fight and use their numbers to defeat their enemies.

’But for how long? At this rate, someone will go down in fifteen minutes. Our summoner has gained the upper hand, but someone like Iskar must have several trump cards, so it will be hard to take him down just because we want to...’

Fenrir squinted his eyes, wondering if there was another path. He might have to inform Nathan about their situation so that he could think of a solution.

But there was another surprise, not from this battlefield or the one next to theirs. It came from the enemy base.

”Sera!”

”I know. Synchronization!”

Flora, the lightning spirit, and the light spirit received a boost from the Synchronization. They unleashed their attacks simultaneously.

At the same time, Brunhild activated her God of Valkyrja and threw her spear while Asmodeus bombarded them with hellfire.

”!!!” All of them couldn’t help but turn their heads around, having to switch their positions due to the sudden pincer attack.

”What?” Fenrir was confused. He certainly heard them, but they were assigned different tasks, so there was no need for them to remain here.

So, why would they actually come here?

...

A moment ago.

Flora couldn’t help but furrow her eyebrows. ”Alavenya.”

”Yeah?” Alavenya crossed her arms.

”I’ll leave this place to you. Of course, I will leave behind enough great spirits here to make sure these guys don’t get away. I will only bring my lightning and light great spirits.”

”You’re going?”

”Yeah. I deem it’s necessary to prevent any casualties on our side.” Flora nodded. ”I’ll bring Sera as well.”

Alavenya nodded. ”All right. I will trust your judgment for this one.”

Flora then came to find Sera and explain the situation, but it looked like Sera was already aware of the situation as well.

With her coming and explaining her plans, Sera agreed and brought only Brunhild and Asmodeus.

They originally had to remain here and make sure that Tuska and Eyewood didn’t get away, but the battle shifted the moment a certain familiar passed on information that no one could believe.

Someone from their side would die, and this someone was actually the strongest person. Nathan had already said that they wouldn’t win if Evelyn didn’t defeat Garam, and Nathan was the one who could change that situation.

Even Nathan wouldn’t get angry if he knew about this.

Yes, the one who actually changed the battlefield was none other than Bella. Even though Nathan had told her not to get affected by whatever the alien said, she couldn’t help but send out her familiars to send this important information, not knowing whether it was real or fake.
