Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1038: Quantity Overwhelmed Quality

”You are a sinner. You shall be judged. Scales of Justice.”

”!!!” Iskar widened his eyes in shock. There was something different about the scales this time.

”Judgment. Guilty!”

The scale unleashed a brilliant golden light that enveloped Iskar’s body.

Iskar hurriedly used his blood to activate his curse one more time. He pointed at the scale and shot out a torrential energy, planning to destroy the scales himself.

Yet, the brilliant light seemed to be pacifying his curse energy, which made it not as ferocious as before. It was as if the resentment had collapsed from within.

As a result, the remaining curse energy was not as powerful as before. A hexagram appeared in front of the scale, enough to stop the attack.

”!!!” Nathan widened his eyes in shock. ”What?”

Iskar could be shocked, but Nathan, who knew more about Anubis, noticed something even more unexpected. At the last moment, the power of the light coming from the scales increased sharply, which ultimately achieved the desired effect.

Qilin squinted his eyes and whispered, ”Summoner. It looks like Anubis has been training a lot.

”At the last moment, I noticed that he is able to imbue the Synchronization into an ability.”

”Seriously? Like Sera?” Nathan glanced to the side.

”No. Seraphina used the Synchronization on the part of the body, which ultimately linked to the ability that hadn’t been used. Meanwhile, Anubis actually used the Synchronization that had been launched.

”There’s a big difference. After all, you are boosting the power that is currently being charged, meaning that it’s easier to harmonize.

”On the other hand, if you boost something that has been sent out, that power will also get influenced by the environment.

”However, thanks to that effort, the enemy is using enough ena to overwhelm his original power. So, by using the Synchronization at the last moment, your attack will suddenly get stronger, which will be enough to suppress your enemy’s attack.”

”!!!” Nathan understood the difference between them. In a clash between two experts, they had to consider the amount of ena they had spent.

If they infused all 100% of ena into the technique, they would get exhausted faster. That was why they often only utilized 60 to 70% of the ability, which would be enough to neutralize the enemy’s attack.

This would reach a stalemate as they waited for an opportunity. Unless there was a big gap between the two, a lot of people preferred this method.

Anubis took advantage of this strategy.

He used only 50% of his power while holding the other 50% in reserve. Meanwhile, Iskar must have used 70 or even 80% of his power at the last attack.

So, this time, Anubis could launch another attack using the 50% of ena in his reserve. The scales tipped one more time.

”Punishment. Dismemberment.”

”!!!” Iskar gritted his teeth. He scratched his own arm and used the blood to boost the curse power.

These two energies clashed with each other. With him only having 20% to 30% of his ena reserve, he wouldn’t be able to hold a candle against Anubis’ 50%. While he definitely had more ena, which made his 20 or 30% higher, it was impure as well.

Besides, Qilin was here. In the past three months, Anubis wasn’t the only one who had improved. Qilin did the same. With the restriction being lifted, Qilin actually used Synchronization on Anubis.

”Heaven’s Punishment.” Qilin squinted his eyes.

With Qilin’s help, the energy from the scales soared up and overwhelmed Iskar’s ena.

”NO!” Iskar shouted as he unleashed the last bit of his power to withstand this attack, but it was useless.

His left leg got hit by Anubis’ attack. In that instant, he lost the sensation of his entire lower leg, causing him to fall on one knee.

”Kh!” Iskar gritted his teeth. He was confused about this power, but it was clear he couldn’t use his leg anymore, at least against Anubis.

But this wasn’t the extent of their attack. Nathan had already leaped into the air.

Iskar raised his scepter above his head.

Nathan punched him as a dragon roar erupted from his fist.

*Bam!*

Despite all his efforts to block it, he was strapped for energy because of Anubis and Qilin. In addition, Nathan acted the moment he understood what was going on and matched Anubis’ strategy.

As a result, the ground underneath him shattered, and his scepter was knocked down. Fortunately for Iskar, it looked like he was able to stop Nathan’s momentum. As long as he could get away from this, he could unleash his energy again and wouldn’t fall for this trick anymore.

Still, his opponent was Nathan. After getting his momentum stopped, he pushed himself to the side as bullets that were hidden behind him earlier revealed themselves.

”!!!” Iskar gritted his teeth. Some time had passed, so he could already use his ena again, but the amount he could muster was not high.

In addition, Nathan used his Deceleration Spell, which slowed down Iskar drastically.

Normally, Iskar could ignore the Deceleration Spell by using his own ena to resist it, but this time, he had to choose.

If he resisted the Deceleration magic, he wouldn’t have enough ena to block the bullet. If he formed a barrier to stop the bullets, he wouldn’t be able to form it fast enough due to the Decelaration magic.

’What an annoying fighting style.’ Iskar was frustrated as all the bullets rained down on him. And these were not ordinary bullets. Every single one of them was actually an explosive bullet.

Nathan grinned as the plan succeeded. He didn’t expect it would work this well.

Just like how humans were able to fight an alien above their level by joining hands with others, Nathan had his own confidence in defeating Iskar because he would fight with Anubis and Qilin.

His true strategy was to kill Iskar, which would take out the remaining familiars as well. Of course, that also meant the six divine beasts had to hold on against their opponent until they could kill Iskar.

And it looked like they were struggling hard against their opponents.
