Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 100: The Hoopoe Fighter Squadron Annihilated!Russia, Department of Defense.

”So this thing is worth 20 billion?”

Secretary of Defense Vladimir looked at the Mecha Suit before him, clutching his chest, instantly feeling a pang of heartache.

”Do you know how many fighter jets 20 billion could equip us with?”

”And it only bought us one of these things?”

”Couldn’t you have waited for me to return before making a decision?”

Vladimir felt a bit shortchanged.

During the time he was away on a foreign visit, the country had actually spent a huge sum of money to purchase two so-called Mecha Suits!

Each one was worth 20 billion!

Two of them meant 40 billion!

In his view, if this money were used for other aspects of national defense, the benefits it would bring would definitely far exceed these two mechas!

You have to understand, Russia’s economy is currently in a downturn, leading to a significant reduction in defense spending; the Secretary of Defense has to carefully budget even 100 million Russian rubles!

General Kalaf, who was responsible for procuring the Individual Combat Mecha, was also very helpless at this moment:

”Secretary, the Dragon Kingdom only gave us three days to consider; we couldn’t wait for you to return!”

”The country arranged for many experts to conduct an in-depth inspection of this mecha!”

”They found its combat capability to be astonishing! It is absolutely worth more than its price!”

”Moreover, the Dragon Kingdom gave us a discount of 10 billion. You have to know that the original price of this mecha was 30 billion!”

30 billion????

Vladimir was startled by this terrifying price.

”It’s so expensive, why doesn’t the Dragon Kingdom just go rob someone!”

”And they just casually gave us a 10 billion discount, which shows that the profit margin in this is explosive!”

”We must be the only idiots who would buy it!”

General Kalaf: ”Of course not!”

He pointed at the mecha and said seriously:

”Oil Country bought it too!”

”And they purchased it at the price of 30 billion!”

”They bought ten units directly!”

”They transferred 300 billion to the Dragon Kingdom right then and there!”

The more Vladimir listened, the wider his eyes grew!

300 billion!!!!

He swallowed hard!

The Dragon Kingdom is making a killing!

This crappy mecha let them earn so much!?

After a long while, he finally came back to his senses!

”Then what’s the situation with this photo?”

He pointed to the photo on the table!

This was obtained by their intelligence department a long time ago!

On the photo was a conceptual drawing of a mecha!

The picture was very similar to the mecha in front of them!

Vladimir felt that this photo was very familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere before?

General Kalaf spoke up to remind him: ”Have you forgotten?”

”It was the mecha concept art released by the Eagle Nation previously!”

”But there was only one picture, with no parameters at all. You even said it was trash at the time and threw it directly onto the table! The people in the intelligence department didn’t take it seriously either, so they just filed it away!”

”Now that we accidentally discovered that the mecha in this photo is unexpectedly similar to the Dragon Kingdom’s mecha, we took it out!”

After he said this, Vladimir suddenly felt like he had some impression of it.

Then, he froze, as if he had an incredible thought!

”This mecha blueprint is from the Eagle Nation, so how did the Dragon Kingdom build a similar mecha???”

”It couldn’t be that the Dragon Kingdom built it based on the Eagle Nation’s blueprints, could it!”

He recalled that this blueprint was obtained unexpectedly easily, as if the Eagle Nation had released it on purpose!

If Russia could obtain it, the Dragon Kingdom might also have an identical blueprint!

Could the Dragon Kingdom have really built this mecha according to the blueprints they provided!

But this blueprint was just a conceptual drawing!

Can you even build from that????

When did the Dragon Kingdom’s technological strength become so powerful?

General Kalaf also thought of this point, and the two looked at each other, a flash of shock involuntarily flickering in their eyes!

However, they then comforted themselves that it must just be a coincidence!

And they were fine, but if the Eagle Nation knew that the conceptual mecha they proposed to scare people with had actually been built by the Dragon Kingdom, they would probably regret it to the point of their guts turning blue!

”Secretary, what do you think?”

”My previous proposal...”

General Kalaf suddenly spoke up.

Before arriving at this office, he had proposed purchasing two more mechas from the Dragon Kingdom!

He had seen the power of this mecha!

He felt that the future would belong to mechas; if Russia only owned two mechas, it might fall behind other countries in the future and be unable to protect its vast domestic territory!

But the problem was, Vladimir thought it was too expensive!

Even though General Kalaf praised the mecha to the skies and even showed him exercise videos of the mecha fighting against a Fifth-generation fighter, he still felt that without real combat testing, it was impossible to determine the true strength of the mecha!

”I will reserve your proposal for now!”

”I don’t agree, but I haven’t refused either!”

”By the way, I have another piece of intelligence here!”

Vladimir placed a piece of intelligence in his hand on the table!

Signaling General Kalaf to take a look!

General Kalaf opened the document suspiciously and scanned it!

He discovered that it was actually a coalition of several desert countries launching an anti-air raid operation against Daishin.

And among them, there was a familiar name!

Oil Country!

Oil Country was also participating in this anti-air raid operation!

”Oil Country should already possess the Individual Combat Mecha by now!”

”In this battle, they might use this kind of Individual Combat Mecha!”

General Kalaf stated his deduction!

Vladimir nodded: ”I think so too!”

”And not long ago, our intelligence department also learned of some news!”

”Daishin bought quite a few Fifth-generation fighters from the Eagle Nation!”

”They will definitely, or perhaps, apply them in this battle!”

”When the time comes, with the mecha fighting against the Fifth-generation fighter, we will see which is superior or inferior; this battle will give us the answer!”

Speaking of this, Vladimir paused and continued:

”Didn’t you suggest that we purchase two more mechas?”

”We are not in a hurry. If the powerful mecha you speak of can demonstrate strong combat capabilities in this battle, it won’t be too late to purchase them then!”

”It will also be just right to shut the mouths of those who are opposed to it!”

General Kalaf pondered for two seconds, then nodded: ”That’s fine too!”

”I just hope the results will come out as soon as possible!”

”I don’t want the Dragon Kingdom’s mechas to be snatched up by other countries by then!”

Vladimir wanted him to be a little more patient!

”This is war, not a game!”

”You need to have some patience!”

”This battle might last for several days!”

Just at this moment, the phone by his side suddenly rang.

He picked up the phone, and the person on the other end chattered away!

When the person on the other end reached the critical point, Vladimir’s expression suddenly froze.

Then he said in disbelief:

”What did you say?”

”The fighter jets on Daishin’s side were all... annihilated by mysterious flying objects?”
