Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 60 Reaching out to pluck the stars!”Comrade Su Chen, I am Commander Xu Tao, the person in charge of the Southern Sea Area Air Force! I am the person in charge for this auxiliary testing operation!”

”We have already communicated the action plan for this Space Mecha test with all relevant departments!”

”Do you need us to plan the test route and suspend passenger flights?”

Su Chen’s communication system was now connected to the Southern Sea Area Air Force channel, and the monitoring functions had been enabled.

Because the Southern Sea Area is sparsely populated, for safety and confidentiality reasons, the Space Mecha needed to be tested there.

Commander Xu Tao, the person in charge of the Air Force Base, was currently guarding the radar monitoring system, staring intently at the light point representing the Space Mecha!

At the same time, hundreds of various types of fighter jets were on standby outside. In the event of any safety accidents involving the mecha, these fighter jets would immediately head out with various safety and support personnel to conduct a rescue.

When Commander Liu Chengzhi contacted them, he had earnestly instructed that the Space Mecha test could fail, but they must ensure Su Chen remained unharmed.

”General Xu Tao, there is no need to suspend passenger flights!”

”The Space Mecha’s flight altitude is far above that of passenger planes and will not cause them any impact!”

Su Chen said.

At the same time, he was a bit surprised; he hadn’t expected General Xu Tao to be the one in charge of this test.

He had met Commander Xu Tao not long ago at an Eastern Theater Command Air Force Base!

To be precise, Commander Xu Tao had personally sought out Su Chen because he wanted to see with his own eyes the young man who had created such a powerful mecha for the Dragon Kingdom.

The two had met there.

”That’s true! In that case, it saves us some trouble!”

”For the upcoming test, please be sure to be careful!”

”We will also closely monitor your situation here. If any uncontrollable events occur, please contact us immediately!” Commander Xu Tao instructed.

Su Chen nodded slightly: ”Understood! General Xu!”

As he finished speaking, Su Chen looked toward the boundless sky!

At this moment, the mecha was at an altitude of 10,000 meters, while the typical flight altitude for passenger planes was between 8,000 and 12,000 meters!

The Space Mecha’s current position could still potentially encounter passenger planes.

Su Chen continued to issue acceleration commands, flying higher into the sky.

With the command, the engine of the longwei-1 roared once again!

Powerful energy propelled it rapidly upward!

As the Space Mecha accelerated again, its shape began to change, and its originally sleek lines became more rigid.

Under the powerful propulsion, the special alloy material on the mecha’s surface gradually revealed a strange luster.

The originally smooth shell seemed to be infused with life, beginning to flow rhythmically like liquid metal, constantly adjusting its own form.

During the acceleration process, the mecha’s limbs gradually became thicker and more powerful.

The joints in the legs constantly extended and strengthened, and the massive mechanical skeleton inside emitted clicking sounds, as if adapting to the immense pressure about to come.

The thrusters on the feet were also constantly adjusting their angles and power, providing more stable support and powerful thrust for the longwei-1.

During the acceleration process, a pair of huge wing-like thrusters slowly unfolded from the mecha’s back.

These thrusters were composed of high-strength alloys and a nuclear power energy core, capable of generating powerful thrust and an anti-gravity field.

The surface of the thrusters was covered with dense cooling vents and energy flow fins, constantly emitting high heat and dazzling light.

As the thrusters engaged at full power, the mecha’s speed soared instantly, and the surrounding air was distorted by the powerful airflow.

The mecha’s color also changed during the acceleration process; the original silver-gray coating was gradually enveloped by a mysterious blue light, as if protected by an energy shield.

This light not only made the mecha look more majestic and imposing, but it could also effectively withstand various types of radiation and impacts from tiny meteorites in space.

Because the mecha needed to adapt to extreme environments and immense pressure when entering sub-orbital combat mode, its structure and materials would undergo corresponding changes.

The so-called sub-orbital space is the atmospheric space just below the space orbit, with an altitude ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 meters above the ground.

The air here is thin, the temperature is extremely low, and there is also intense radiation and cosmic dust.

However, for the longwei-1, these were not problems.

Its various advanced protective systems could effectively withstand these threats!

Allowing the pilot to safely operate the mecha in harsh environments.

The Space Mecha’s speed became faster and faster.

The humming of the engine caused a series of sonic booms in the sub-orbital space.

As the speed approached Mach 20, the space around the mecha seemed to be distorted.

Brilliant beams of light flashed around the mecha; that was the plasma generated by the air being rubbed at high speed.

The mecha streaked across the sky like a meteor, speeding toward sub-orbital space and leaving a long trail behind.

Meanwhile.

On the ground radar display, the light point representing the Space Mecha appeared and disappeared like a phantom!

Every time it disappeared and reappeared, its position was vastly different from before!

Commander Xu Tao stared intently at the screen, and at this moment, he was thoroughly shocked!

”What’s going on? Has our radar monitoring system malfunctioned?”

”Why is the light point moving so fast?”

The maintenance personnel were on standby nearby, and seeing the radar’s performance, they also assumed it was a malfunction!

The movement of the light point was too exaggerated!

It was equivalent to moving 10,000 meters in 1.5 seconds!

This speed was equivalent to Mach 20!

How could such a terrifying speed exist!

Therefore, it must be a radar malfunction!

Commander Xu Tao frowned tightly: ”Damn it, why did it malfunction at such a critical moment!”

”Hurry up and check the cause of the accident!” he immediately ordered.

The maintenance personnel dared not show the slightest negligence!

However, after the testing instruments were connected, they were immediately stunned!

Commander Xu Tao was very anxious: ”What’s going on?”

”Why have you stopped moving?”

The maintenance personnel widened their eyes, appearing to be shocked as well.

One of the maintenance personnel turned to look at Commander Xu Tao:

”Chief, our testing instruments show that our radar system hasn’t had any problems?”

”All functions are normal!”

Upon hearing this, Commander Xu Tao was very surprised:

”Everything is normal???”

”How is that possible?”

He looked at the radar display again.

At this moment, the light point had already reached a place 100,000 meters above the ground!

And about a dozen seconds ago, it was only at a position of around 10,000 meters!

”Check again to see if there are any problems with these testing instruments!”

”Contact Su Chen for me; I want to make sure he’s okay!”

...

The communication was connected, and Commander Xu Tao immediately asked:

”Comrade Su Chen, our radar system seems to have a slight malfunction!”

”What are you doing right now? Are you still safe?”

Su Chen: ”Safe, I am looking at the stars!”

Commander Xu Tao: ?????
