Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 84. Eight or nine meters in diameter, and you call that a cannon barrel?National Defense University, Fuxing Building Laboratory.

Su Chen was organizing some key data.

Just as he had finished organizing, Commander Liu Chengzhi arrived.

He was grinning, looking exceptionally happy!

Su Chen roughly guessed what was going on and immediately spoke: ”Did you strike it rich?”

Commander Liu Chengzhi was just thinking about what had happened and didn’t expect Su Chen to have guessed it already!

He casually found a seat and laughed heartily: ”Struck it rich, struck it rich!”

He wanted to light a cigarette, but remembered that a girl like Zhao Dairou was present, and especially with Su Chen here, he couldn’t let his precious treasure breathe secondhand smoke!

He put the cigarette away and continued proudly: ”Su Chen, this time it’s all thanks to you!”

”We’ve just made a windfall!”

”Didn’t we discuss selling one First-generation Mecha for ten billion?”

”Although it was worth more than the price, The Oil Tycoon still thought it was expensive, so they started haggling with me!”

”The result was, the more we haggled, damn it, the higher the price went!”

”In the end, we sold them for thirty billion each!”

As Commander Liu Chengzhi spoke, he found it funny himself!

Su Chen: ”Did the other party misunderstand something?”

Commander Liu Chengzhi didn’t care if they misunderstood. ”Forget them, anyway, we made a lot this time!”

”The First-generation Mecha cost a few hundred thousand to make, and they bought ten of them at once, totaling three hundred billion!”

”And they transferred the money to our account on the same day!”

”And there’s Mao Xiong!”

”You know their domestic situation; the economy isn’t good, so I gave them a price of twenty billion each and let them buy two.”

”From this round of sales, we made a huge profit of 340 billion!”

At this point, Commander Liu Chengzhi couldn’t help but exclaim: ”When you first planned to sell the First-generation Mecha, I opposed it. Now that I think about it, I was really damn foolish!”

”As long as the Space Mecha remains in our own hands as a trump card!”

”Even if the world is full of First-generation Mecha, we don’t have to be afraid!”

Su Chen smiled calmly: ”Old Liu, you are thinking about this correctly!”

”Not to mention that the core control systems of these mechas are in our own hands, even if they weren’t, we wouldn’t need to worry!”

”Just as the First-generation Mecha is a dimensionality-reduction strike compared to fifth-generation fighter jets, the Space Mecha is a dimensionality-reduction strike compared to the First-generation Mecha!”

”We are essentially selling them a hoe, while we hold the Nuclear Weapons in our hands!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi slapped his thigh: ”Your analogy is damn vivid!”

Su Chen continued: ”Furthermore, so that our future research won’t be limited by funding, there will only be more and more high-profit tech products like the First-generation Mecha in the future!”

”Using the First-generation Mecha to open up the market for now is not bad either!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi didn’t expect Su Chen to have such thoughts! This meant that he would manufacture more high-profit products in the future!

He knew that Su Chen was definitely not someone who bragged, because all his previous so-called big talk had turned into reality!

In other words, Su Chen was confident in manufacturing more and more tech products! ”Is this what a genius is?” ”No limits!!!” Commander Liu Chengzhi marveled to himself.

Next, he stated the purpose of his visit: ”By the way! I reported the situation to my superiors. They believe you’ve made a contribution, so they allocated some funds for me to take you out for a good meal!” ”Do you have anything urgent? Why don’t we go grab a bite now? Eating and drinking on public funds—this kind of treatment doesn’t come often!”

However, Su Chen did not have time! ”That’s really unfortunate! I’m planning to head to Base No. 1 in a while!”

The so-called Base No. 1 was the Yanjiao mountainous area where the Space Mecha manufacturing workshop was located!

Because Su Chen’s subsequent research projects were becoming larger in volume. The Fuxing Building Laboratory was located at the school, which was not conducive to secrecy and not convenient for assembly! Therefore, a huge area was designated in the Yanjiao mountain range where the mechas were manufactured, to serve as the No. 1 Research Base!

Commander Liu Chengzhi was a bit puzzled and asked for the reason! Su Chen smiled calmly: ”You’ll know when we get there!” Commander Liu Chengzhi: ”Do I have to go too?” Su Chen: ”Of course!”

Then, Commander Liu Chengzhi was inexplicably taken to Base No. 1 by Su Chen!

In two months, this place had completely changed! A huge manufacturing workshop had risen from the ground, looking like a giant metal box nestled in the high mountains and ridges. It was surrounded by mountains and dense forests!

This was Commander Liu Chengzhi’s second time here! Two months ago, Su Chen proposed building a workshop here to manufacture and assemble the Electromagnetic Naval Gun. At that time, Commander Liu Chengzhi and a group of construction experts came to inspect it! Afterward, a construction team was organized to carry out the work!

Because time was tight, the long-sealed ”Hundred-Ton King” and ”Thousand-Ton King” heavy-duty trucks were specially approved for use! Especially the Thousand-Ton King—what kind of concept was that? It could carry over a hundred Ruyi Golden Cudgels!

The original one-month deadline was met in two weeks after the ”infrastructure maniacs” entered, carving out a research base of over ten thousand mu here. Su Chen was shocked at the time! He asked them to build a workshop, and they built an entire base! And the Electromagnetic Naval Gun manufacturing workshop was built along the way!

Arriving here for the second time and seeing the completed base, Commander Liu Chengzhi was very satisfied! Arriving at the workshop, Su Chen pressed the switch for the electric door, and the door slowly opened! Then, he walked inside! Commander Liu Chengzhi didn’t look closely and followed Su Chen inside!

But just two steps in, he felt something was wrong! ”Su Chen, why is it so dark inside your workshop?” ”Didn’t you turn on the lights?” He looked at Su Chen and found him taking out a flashlight, inspecting the walls! The walls were curved! Su Chen was examining them carefully, not knowing what he was looking for! Also, what kind of strange wall was this? Commander Liu Chengzhi was even more puzzled! He thought to himself that it was worthy of being a scientific research facility; even the workshop was strange!

Su Chen said calmly: ”This isn’t the workshop; keep walking inside!” Not a workshop???? Commander Liu Chengzhi was stunned for a moment, but didn’t ask further! He turned on the flashlight on his phone and continued to follow him inside!

”So it’s a circular tunnel!” ”And it looks like metal!” He tapped it: ”Seems pretty sturdy!” They didn’t walk for long before they walked out of the tunnel! It was like entering the Peach Blossom Spring: at first it was very narrow, only allowing one person to pass, but after walking a few dozen steps, it suddenly opened up!

Arriving inside the workshop, it was as bright as day. At this moment, Commander Liu Chengzhi turned his head to look at the tunnel and asked curiously: ”What is this metal tunnel used for?” ”Isn’t it in the way, being inside the workshop?”

Su Chen took a look and explained: ”This isn’t some tunnel?” ”Can’t you see this is a metal tube?”

Commander Liu Chengzhi looked at it carefully and then realized: ”Oh! That explains it!!!” ”But this metal tube is quite thick! The caliber is also quite large, at least eight meters!” ”What are you planning to use it for?”

Su Chen said calmly: ”This is the Electromagnetic Naval Gun research workshop, what do you think it could be used for?” ”It’s definitely for the gun barrel!”

”A gun barrel...” Commander Liu Chengzhi nodded. But the next second, his pupils dilated sharply, and his body trembled uncontrollably! He realized what it was. He turned to look at Su Chen, pointing at the tunnel-like gun barrel, and exclaimed in shock: ”Holy crap!” ”A damn metal tube with a caliber of eight or nine meters...” ”You call this a gun barrel???? Are you trying to blast through the Blue Star?????”
