Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 58 The Dragon Kingdom’s true strategic weapon is actually Su Chen!A mountainous area in Yanjiao, Dragon City.

Originally, this place was planned for the construction of a tourist resort!

But for reasons unknown to anyone, the resort plans were canceled.

At the same time, the entire mountainous area was surrounded by barbed wire and marked with signs designating it as a restricted military zone.

All roads leading to the mountainous area were completely blocked off!

There was also a regiment of soldiers stationed nearby, conducting high-intensity patrols every day!

Two soldiers had just come off duty and were walking on the path to the cafeteria!

One of the young soldiers, looking at the restricted military zone that even they couldn’t approach, couldn’t help but curiously ask his comrade:

”What do you think is actually inside this mountain?”

”We’ve been stationed here for three or four months now!”

”Every now and then we can hear sounds like explosions; it’s really too strange!”

The other soldier smiled calmly: ”You’re asking me, but I don’t know either!”

”Don’t talk about us; even our commanding officer doesn’t know anything about it!”

”Stop dwelling on this. I heard there are chicken drumsticks in the cafeteria today. Let’s hurry over; if we’re late, they’ll be gone!”

The young soldier’s eyes widened suddenly:

”Chicken drumsticks?”

”Why didn’t you say so earlier? Hurry, hurry, hurry!”

The two of them didn’t care about their sore and numb legs from standing guard and limped as they ran toward the cafeteria!

Meanwhile, behind them, the hum of a car engine echoed through the mountains and forests!

Zhao Dairou drove the military truck with Su Chen sitting beside her, heading deep into the mountainous area!

Who knows how long they had been driving!

They stopped in front of a hill!

Su Chen took a mechanical panel out of his pocket.

The panel shimmered slightly under the sunlight, covered with various complex buttons and indicator lights.

Su Chen’s finger gently pressed one of the buttons, and in that instant, it felt as if time had frozen.

Immediately after, a slight tremor came from beneath their feet; at first, it was very faint, but it quickly became intense.

The hill began to shake, as if a giant beast sleeping within it was being awakened.

As the tremors intensified, the hillside slowly opened to both sides, emitting a low, rumbling sound.

The sound echoed in the air, as if it were an ancient call.

During the process of the hillside opening, dust flew, and sunlight gradually spilled into the space that had originally been hidden in the darkness.

When the hillside was fully opened, a huge space appeared before them.

The interior of this space had been hollowed out, and both sides were filled with machinery full of a sense of technology.

As the hillside opened, a strong atmosphere of technology immediately washed over them.

And in the center of this huge space, a colossal mech stood quietly.

The mech was tall and imposing, like a mountain forged of steel.

Its body radiated a cold, metallic luster.

The lines were sharp and smooth, every detail displaying exquisite craftsmanship and immense power.

Its head was held high, as if declaring its majesty and inviolability to the world.

The entire thing shimmered with mysterious colors under the sunlight!

This mech was the prototype of the Space Mecha that Su Chen had spent nearly half a year researching!

Because the prototype was so huge, it could only be researched in the mountainous area!

After modifications, Su Chen had transformed a hill outside Yanjiao into a manufacturing workshop for the Space Mecha!

This scene, which was like something out of science fiction, had been seen by very few people!

Except for the construction of the workshop, everything else was completed by Su Chen single-handedly!

Especially this giant mech, which he named ”longwei-1,” was manufactured by him alone!

However, although it seemed difficult, after Su Chen used the technology provided by the system to build many large tools, the manufacturing work actually wasn’t too difficult!

Zhao Dairou stared blankly at Su Chen’s masterpiece.

Because she was protecting Su Chen, she had received the highest authorization and the qualifications to access top-secret information, so she was able to accompany Su Chen in and out of here!

It is worth mentioning that Zhao Dairou becoming Su Chen’s bodyguard was not a spur-of-the-moment decision by Commander Liu Chengzhi, but rather that the organization had repeatedly screened and selected Zhao Dairou, who was of impeccable background and possessed excellent capabilities.

If even she couldn’t be trusted, then no one could be trusted!

Even though she had seen the Space Mecha many times, every time she saw it, she felt a sense of shock!

It was as if she had stepped from reality into a science fiction world!

Conversely, Su Chen, the creator of longwei-1, always appeared very calm!

As if the work in front of him was not worth mentioning to him.

”Su Chen, I remember you saying that the manufacturing work for this mech was finished?”

Zhao Dairou suddenly asked.

Su Chen nodded: ”Coming here today is just to simply test its basic performance!”

Zhao Dairou looked at the behemoth before her, feeling it was hard to believe!

Back then, Su Chen only spent two months manufacturing the First-generation Mecha, and this Space Mecha in front of her, which was dozens of times larger than the First-generation Mecha, also only took less than half a year to build!

This was a big guy that even the most top-tier research team might not be able to build in half a century, yet Su Chen had only used less than half a year!

Once this got out, Su Chen would probably be regarded by every country as the Dragon Kingdom’s true strategic weapon!

Zhao Dairou hadn’t even reacted yet, while Su Chen had already entered the rear hatch of the mech!

A synthesized mechanical voice sounded!

”Hello, please verify your identity!”

Su Chen aimed his face at a camera.

A green ray shot out from the camera, scanning Su Chen from top to bottom!

”Identity confirmed!”

”Respected creator of the longwei-1 mech, hello!”

The mech hatch opened, and Su Chen stepped inside!

Then, he was immediately met with the mech’s power core—the Cold-Processed Nuclear Reactor!

This Nuclear Reactor, like the heart of the mech, provided it with a steady stream of surging power!

The Cold-Processed Nuclear Reactor applied cold-processing technology, allowing the Nuclear Reactor to maintain a lower temperature during operation, greatly improving safety and reliability!

At the same time, the outside of the Nuclear Reactor was wrapped in nanomaterials, so even if the mech was destroyed, the power core would be absolutely safe.

In extreme space environments, this nuclear power core could continuously output powerful force, providing a solid guarantee for the various functions of the mech.

Continuing to walk inside, a low hum sounded in his ears; this was the several engines accompanying the mech standing by.

These engines were distributed at the key parts of the mech, like the wings of the mech, endowing it with the ability to roam in space.

Each engine had undergone careful design and strict testing, possessing high thrust, high reliability, and high-precision control performance.

In space, these engines could flexibly adjust their output power and direction according to different mission needs, enabling the mech to perform various maneuvering operations quickly and accurately.

When the engines started, a low roar resonated, and the blue flames ejected were as dazzling as meteors.

Su Chen walked into the operation room; two seats meant that this mech could carry two operators at the same time.

They could use the advanced human-machine interaction system to cooperate closely with the mech, achieving efficient operation and control.

Of course, two people were not necessary; one person could also realize all the functions of the mech!

Su Chen sat in one of the seats!

The mech system’s voice sounded again: ”Welcome to pilot the longwei-1 Pan-Space Mech!”

”I am the Artificial Intelligence ’longwei-1’; you can call me ’Number One’ directly!”

As this voice sounded.

All the lights in the operation room lit up.

Su Chen put on the helmet.

The scene around the mech was presented in his eyes in a 360-degree omnidirectional view.

The consciousness of the helmet was bound to the mech!

With just a thought from Su Chen, the mech would react in various ways according to his wishes!

This was true human-machine interaction!

Su Chen looked at the internal panel!

It described various information about longwei-1.

Height: 28 meters!

Because of the special materials, the weight was only 43 tons.

But the maximum takeoff weight could reach an astonishing 152 tons!

This meant that the mech had super-strong load-bearing capacity!

From the data, one could see that this was definitely a standard heavy mech!

Su Chen suddenly had the feeling of having traveled into the movie ”Pacific Rim.”

His mood couldn’t help but become excited!

At this moment, the voice of longwei-1 sounded: ”Do you want to conduct a preliminary test flight?”

Since he was already here, how could he not test it!

Su Chen couldn’t wait any longer and immediately ordered:

”Begin test flight!”
