Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 91 This isn’t a warship, it’s an aircraft carrier! At this moment, the image of the warship General Zhao Yong had just described flashed through his mind like a movie.

The new type of warship, like a piece of sci-fi weaponry from the future, brought him endless shock.

The image gradually became clearer, every detail of that warship magnified in General Zhao Yong’s mind.

From the razor-sharp bow to the towering, imposing bridge, it was crowded with Individual Combat Mecha possessing powerful combat capabilities!

The large-caliber Electromagnetic Naval Gun pointed toward the sky, exuding the might to shatter the firmament!

However, what shocked him the most was still the Nuclear Fusion propulsion Su Chen had mentioned.

Nuclear Fusion Technology, a cutting-edge field that had yet to be broken through globally, had always been the dream of countless scientists.

For a long time, research teams from various countries had been working tirelessly to achieve Controlled Nuclear Fusion, but they still faced numerous insurmountable technical difficulties.

And now, Su Chen was actually saying he wanted to apply Nuclear Fusion Technology to a warship!!!

This was simply like a fantasy!

General Zhao Yong’s thoughts were instantly pulled back to reality.

He recalled the current development status of energy in countries around the world; although Nuclear Fission reactors had seen some application, they were limited in many ways.

For example, the issue of handling the nuclear waste they produced had always plagued various countries, and their energy efficiency was relatively low—compared to Nuclear Fusion, they were simply incomparable.

He thought he had misheard!

”Su Chen, what you just said must be Nuclear Fission technology, right!”

”Nuclear Fusion Technology—no country in the world has actually researched that yet!”

The other big shots looked over at this moment too!

They were thinking the same thing as General Zhao Yong!

They all assumed Su Chen had misspoke!

That he had said Nuclear Fusion Technology instead of Nuclear Fission technology.

One had to know, despite the difference of only one character, the two were vastly different!

But thinking about it, something felt wrong!

Su Chen was an existence with monstrous scientific research capabilities!

Could he make such a low-level mistake?

Confusing Nuclear Fission with Nuclear Fusion???

Clearly, that was impossible!

Su Chen said solemnly once again: ”I am talking about Nuclear Fusion!”

Everyone was completely shocked!

Nuclear Fusion!!!

Su Chen was actually talking about Nuclear Fusion!

Did he even understand such advanced technology?

Right now, other countries were still in the preliminary exploration stage regarding Nuclear Fusion; they hadn’t even begun research yet!

Su Chen continued: ”The limitations of Nuclear Fission reactors are too great!”

”The energy efficiency is also low; there is simply no way to compare it with Nuclear Fusion!”

”Specifically, the plasma produced by Nuclear Fusion can be directly converted into electricity through magnetohydrodynamic generators!”

”The power generation efficiency can reach over... ninety percent!”

This figure left everyone stunned!

They knew deeply what such high power generation efficiency meant!

If Su Chen had really achieved a breakthrough in Nuclear Fusion, it would be the key to changing humanity’s future!

General Zhao Yong listened quietly to Su Chen’s explanation, his heart filled with emotion.

He recalled the technological revolutions he had experienced throughout his life, from the initial age of steam engines to the current information age; every technological advance had brought earth-shaking changes.

And now, the emergence of Nuclear Fusion Technology would undoubtedly trigger a global technological revolution once again.

It would be enough to shock the whole world!

Even Nobel would crawl out of his coffin to award Su Chen!

”Sigh, it seems I am truly old!”

”I can’t even understand the direction of the era’s development anymore!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi spoke up to comfort him: ”It’s alright, General Zhao Yong, it doesn’t matter if we can’t understand the direction of the era’s development!”

”Anyway, we have Su Chen leading us!”

”This time, our Dragon Kingdom is likely going to lead the world!”

The big shots present nodded one after another!

Although they were full of confidence in the country’s future development, believing that one day they would stand at the peak of the world again!

But that time might have been twenty or thirty years, or even fifty years or a century away!

However, this plan had undergone a massive change with the arrival of Su Chen!

Perhaps within ten years, or even five years, the true rejuvenation of the Dragon Kingdom could be achieved!

”Su Chen, you don’t need to feel pressured either; we will fully cooperate with you!”

Commander Liu Chengzhi realized belatedly, worrying that those words might have put pressure on Su Chen!

”Old Liu, don’t worry, for me, there is no pressure!”

It was just a matter of using a cheat!

After explaining the principle of the Nuclear Fusion propulsion, Su Chen was also looking forward to it.

He looked at General Zhao Yong: ”How about it, General Zhao Yong!”

”Are you interested in building such a new type of warship!”

General Zhao Yong was so tempted by the grand vision Su Chen had painted that he was almost drooling!

”Old Zhao is definitely interested!”

Not just him, the other high-level naval officials present chimed in as well!

”Little Comrade Su Chen, I think that once the type of warship you mentioned is built, it can absolutely help us dominate the globe!”

”We don’t understand the technology, but we know that if you really dare to build it, really want to build it, we will definitely support you to the end! No hesitation!”

”Looking at the major powers of the world, our navy’s development started the latest, so we will not give up this opportunity to catch up with the world. Comrade Su Chen, our navy’s great cause is entrusted to you!”

The other naval big shots all stepped forward and saluted Su Chen in unison!

General Zhao Yong followed closely, solemnly saluting this young man who was two generations younger than him, who could even be his grandson!

Su Chen returned the salute calmly!

He was also a soldier, so returning the salute was only natural!

Su Chen realized that this warship had to be built!

Otherwise, he would have been hoodwinking the most top-tier big shots of the Dragon Kingdom!

At this moment, General Zhao Yong suddenly thought of something, and immediately asked:

”Oh right Su Chen, I almost forgot to ask!”

”What do you think the tonnage of this new warship would be?”

Su Chen thought for a moment, pondered carefully in his mind, and finally gave a rough figure!

”Conservatively estimated, at least one hundred thousand tons!”

One hundred thousand tons!!!!!!

The naval big shots all couldn’t help but gasp!

You have to know, the Dragon Kingdom’s most advanced Type 055 Destroyer only has a displacement of twenty thousand tons at most!

And Su Chen’s so-called new warship actually had a displacement that could reach one hundred thousand tons!!!!!

General Zhao Yong immediately asked: ”Su Chen... are you planning to build an aircraft carrier?????”

One hundred thousand tons, only an aircraft carrier could reach that, right!

And a super aircraft carrier at that!

Su Chen shook his head: ”Not an aircraft carrier!”

”This warship is going to participate directly in combat!”

General Zhao Yong pondered for a moment and finally understood!

In his mind, an image of the conceived warship appeared once again!

Nuclear Fusion Reactor propulsion!

Large-caliber Electromagnetic Railgun!

A group of Individual Combat Mecha!

And a massive tonnage of one hundred thousand tons!

This new warship...

Isn’t that damned thing a battleship???

So Su Chen, wanted to build a...

New type of battleship that combined various advanced technologies!
