Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 55 You’re Su Chen?!When the name ”Su Chen” was spoken, President Liu Xuemin was suddenly enlightened, and all his doubts seemed to be resolved!

”You are the person in charge of the Fuxing Building Comprehensive Laboratory?”

”That genius scientist who created the mecha, Su Chen!”

President Liu Xuemin glared at Professor Ma Zhiqiang!

”If you had said it was Su Chen earlier, wouldn’t I have known who it was?”

”You insisted on saying he was your student, and an undergraduate at that!”

Su Chen’s name had become a household name among the school’s senior management!

Even if they didn’t know he had personally developed a mecha, they had heard about the school turning the entire Fuxing Building into a Laboratory just for him!

Even though many people hadn’t seen his face, they had heard of his legends.

Professor Ma Zhiqiang was a bit displeased!

Su Chen was indeed his student!

He was an undergraduate!

He hadn’t said anything wrong!

Just as he wanted to retort, President Liu Xuemin didn’t give him a chance, walking straight to Su Chen’s side and saying:

”Student Su Chen, I heard you want to borrow our institute’s particle collider?”

”With the Commander-in-Chief’s authorization, you can use the machine as you please!”

”But I am curious, what are you planning to use this machine for?”

Su Chen said calmly: ”I plan to develop a new type of particle for the new mecha!”

President Liu Xuemin was stunned: ”What, you already have ideas for a new mecha so soon!”

But just after saying this!

He suddenly realized!

His pupils dilated, his mouth hung open, as if thunder was rolling through his mind!

He was shocked: ”Did I hear that right!”

”You just said you want to create a new type of particle?”

At this moment, not only him, but even Professor Ma Zhiqiang was petrified on the spot.

”Little Su, do you really want to create a new type of particle?”

Zhao Dairou was very confused!

”What’s wrong?”

”Is it very difficult to create a new type of particle?”

President Liu Xuemin: ”It’s more than just difficult!”

”It’s simply too high!”

”On a theoretical level, to create a new type of particle, one needs to predict and design it in advance, which requires a deep theoretical foundation and innovative thinking. It also requires the comprehensive application of complex physical theories like quantum mechanics and relativity to accurately predict the properties and interactions of the particles!”

”And that is just the theoretical level; it also requires resources. From theoretical research to experimental verification, the entire process of creating a new type of particle requires massive financial support! Moreover, due to the uncertainty of experiments, multiple attempts and improvements may be needed, which further increases the demand for funds.”

Zhao Dairou thought for a moment: ”Doesn’t seem that hard, right?”

”As for theory, Su Chen was able to build a super powerful mecha, so his theoretical knowledge must be sufficient!”

”As for resources, a project fund of 200 billion USD was just approved for him, so he is very rich right now!”

President Liu Xuemin looked at Su Chen in disbelief after hearing Zhao Dairou’s words!

Being able to build a mecha, Su Chen’s theoretical level was naturally not low, but what was up with that 200 billion USD project fund?

Was the country really that generous?

He had lived for so many years, and this was the first time he had heard of such a terrifying project fund!

Back when they were building Nukes and rockets, they didn’t use that much, did they!

He coughed lightly and said again:

”Well... even if theory and resources aren’t a problem, what about the technical level?”

”New particles are created during collisions, and this process requires extremely high energy.”

”Even if a new particle is created in a high-energy collision, it might be unstable, leading to an extremely short lifespan and instantaneous decay. Detecting them is also a huge challenge!”

”At the same time, it needs to be conducted under extreme environmental conditions, such as extremely low temperatures, extremely high pressure, or strong magnetic fields. Any tiny environmental change could affect the experimental results or even lead to failure.”

Zhao Dairou stopped talking; the things President Liu Xuemin mentioned were far beyond her understanding.

She looked at Su Chen, worried for him.

However, these worries seemed to be superfluous!

Su Chen said calmly:

”I can solve these technical problems too!”

President Liu Xuemin was stunned!

He couldn’t believe Su Chen was actually this confident!

Even he, the president, wouldn’t dare say such things, yet Su Chen said it so easily!

Even though Su Chen was a genius who could build a mecha in two months, there is a saying that different fields are as different as mountains; the theories needed to build a mecha might not apply to the creation of particles!

”By the way, President Liu, what is the scale of our particle collider?”

Su Chen asked again.

President Liu Xuemin was suddenly stunned: ”You don’t even know the scale, yet you dare to create a new type of particle? How fearless!”

”But you’ve come to the right place!”

”Our institute’s particle collider ranks among the best in the country!”

”It can reach 3 trillion electron volts. You know, the world’s largest hadron collider can only produce 7 trillion electron volts of energy!”

President Liu Xuemin was very proud, and even Professor Ma Zhiqiang couldn’t help but nod!

Zhao Dairou also immediately showed a look of surprise, feeling as if she understood it well!

But at this moment, Su Chen frowned.

”Three trillion...”

”That’s far from enough!”

Not enough???

Still far from enough????

President Liu Xuemin suddenly felt that Su Chen was a bit outrageous!

”This isn’t enough? What scale of collider do you need to create the new type of particle?”

”Do you know that this is one of the top particle colliders in our country? Even a larger one wouldn’t be much bigger. You can’t borrow Europe’s largest hadron collider, can you!”

Su Chen waved his hand: ”They only have seven trillion; the energy produced by the collision of two particle beams is only 13.6 trillion electron volts!”

”It still falls far short of my requirements!”

President Liu Xuemin felt that Su Chen was a lunatic at this moment!

Even the world’s largest hadron collider couldn’t meet his requirements!

Just how terrifying was the scale in his mind!?

Zhao Dairou asked at this moment: ”If that’s the case, doesn’t that mean there isn’t a single collider in the world that meets your requirements?”

”Then can the mecha still be developed?”

Professor Ma Zhiqiang’s expression also turned serious.

The new mecha was highly anticipated; it couldn’t just fail because the particle collider wasn’t suitable!

Su Chen didn’t share their worries: ”Didn’t I say before?”

”Technical problems are not a problem for me!”

”Through some operations, the performance of the particle collider can be improved!”

President Liu Xuemin was completely stunned!

Performance can be improved through operations!

How is that possible?

If there were such operations, they would have already upgraded the particle collider to be the world’s number one!

At this moment, he believed that Su Chen probably didn’t understand the particle collider at all, nor did he understand their field!

”Su Chen, it seems you are very confident!”

”Back when I became the president of our institute, it was because of my contribution in introducing this particle collider!”

”If you can improve the performance of the particle collider, even by 10%, I will give this president position to you!”

Once these words were spoken, everyone present, including Su Chen, was taken aback!

He knew he seemed to have been looked down upon!

Su Chen smiled calmly: ”You should continue being the president; I’m not interested in this position!”

Professor Ma Zhiqiang also chimed in: ”Back then, Director Zhao Kangbo of the Armament Research Institute even wanted Su Chen to be the vice president of the research institute, and even designated him as the future president, but Su Chen didn’t accept that either! He’s definitely not interested in your university president position!”

President Liu Xuemin chuckled, thinking Su Chen didn’t dare!

But soon, Su Chen added: ”However, since it is one of the few particle colliders in our country, it wouldn’t hurt to improve its performance while I’m at it, since I need to use it anyway!”

President Liu Xuemin thought he had misheard; this kid actually accepted!

Does he really have a way???

Su Chen immediately indicated that he wanted to head to the particle collider institute!

Walking into the institute’s Laboratory, a technological atmosphere rushed towards them!

Passing through the Laboratory to the very back, the huge particle collider suddenly appeared in everyone’s eyes!

The vice president was personally performing various maintenance tasks on the particle collider when he heard that Su Chen wanted to help improve the scale of the particle collider!

This vice president also couldn’t believe it!

Su Chen opened the particle collider’s data panel, took out a piece of paper, and began writing and drawing on a notebook!

President Liu Xuemin’s gaze fell on that notebook; at first, he thought Su Chen was just putting on an act, but soon, increasingly professional content appeared on it, with many theories so profound that even he couldn’t understand them!

After a long while, Su Chen stopped his movements!

He handed the many sheets of paper with specific modification settings to President Liu Xuemin!

”Modify the settings according to the parameters on this!”

President Liu Xuemin was a bit surprised, and also a bit worried: ”Are you sure this won’t cause any damage to the particle collider!”

Professor Ma Zhiqiang was getting impatient: ”What are you afraid of? The higher-ups gave Su Chen 200 billion USD in research funds; if it breaks, they’ll just buy you a brand new particle collider!”

The vice president was startled by these words!

He looked at Su Chen in disbelief!

Su Chen also said at this time: ”The particle collider has its own protection system!”

”Invalid parameters will not pass the system verification!”

President Liu Xuemin slapped his forehead hard!

Right!

How could I have forgotten that!

The particle collider has its own protection system!

Otherwise, if the parameters got messed up and it was ruined, who could stand that!

He didn’t expect Su Chen to really understand!

Thinking of this, President Liu Xuemin had no more worries!

He followed the parameters he provided and had his subordinates carry out the debugging!

About half a while later!

The system didn’t react!

President Liu Xuemin shrugged!

He wanted to say that the parameters didn’t seem to work!

But before he could say it!

He saw the data on the particle collider’s display screen start to jump frantically!

At the same time, dense prompts appeared!

”Verification passed!”

”Verification passed!”

...

Countless ”Verification passed” messages scrolled rapidly across the screen!

Until finally, a ”All verifications passed” prompt appeared on the screen, and everyone present was stunned!

The whole room was shocked!

President Liu Xuemin’s head moved like a marionette, twisting his neck bit by bit to look at Su Chen!

He felt as if he had seen a ghost!
