Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

260: luckBai Shan: ”Your research project is exactly what I was looking for. I was originally planning to research this kind of thing later on.

However, I see you mentioned putting it on a drone, which means your video needs to be able to synchronize in real-time with the equipment above, right? Otherwise, if something goes wrong up there, the operator below won’t be able to react in time.”

”Yes.”

Xu Bai nodded.

”In that case, the difficulty will be even higher.”

Bai Shan fell silent in thought after saying this.

His previous idea was simply to record and then project it through other means, while Xu Bai’s idea was to have the image appear immediately, meaning the data transmission efficiency needed to be very fast.

The difference in difficulty between the two was not one and two, but one and ten.

Therefore, more difficulties would be encountered in the research.

Although he felt that Xu Bai’s current intention to research this was like wanting to run before he could walk.

But Bai Shan recalled the various cardss Xu Bai had researched, and at the same time, he understood that the other party was not someone who made baseless claims.

”I’ve thought about it, and we’ll research in this direction. I believe in your ability. You will be the main force in this research, and my research team and I will cooperate with you.”

Xu Bai breathed a sigh of relief when he heard Bai Shan’s words.

Not only did the other party not give up because it was too difficult, but he also handed over the leadership of the research to him.

From this matter, it could also be seen that Bai Shan was a magnanimous person, not someone who clung to power.

”Then we have reached a consensus.”

”Yes, since sound can be transmitted, then images can also be transmitted. And if images can be transmitted, then we can make them transmit in real-time. We are just trying our best to realize it theoretically.”

The two looked at each other and smiled.

After Xu Bai and Bai Shan finished chatting, they couldn’t neglect Ai Xunyan.

After all, both research projects depended on Ai Xunyan’s material situation. Without materials, although the research could still proceed, it would be more difficult and time-consuming.

And now, what everyone feared most was wasting time.

”Teacher Ai, we have already cooperated, so I won’t say any more nonsense.

Your research here needs to interface with two research teams. One research team is my team researching manned drones. You need to research the protective suits for pilots. This protective suit needs to be difficult to tear when falling from a high place, and it must be light. Our current idea is to inflate it for protection.

The other research team is Teacher Bai’s team; you need to research the materials for storing video images.

However, I don’t rule out that there might be other ideas later, as research sometimes doesn’t proceed according to personal wishes and often encounters unexpected situations.”

”Okay, no problem.”

Ai Xunyan readily agreed.

In fact, for materials science research, there are currently two directions. One direction is to research new materials made from cardss, and the unknown nature of this material is very strong; the other direction is to research existing exotic beast materials and plant materials. Such materials have their own characteristics, and their original characteristics can be altered.

Although the Tianlong Republic valued materials, it paid more attention to the former material research direction. After all, strong unknown nature also represented greater breakthroughs.

However, since Xu Bai made the camera cards last time, the high-level’s attention to the latter material research direction has gradually increased.

As exotic beast materials and plant materials were valued by the high-level, now those inedible exotic beast corpses and plant materials have been collected, and more people have begun to research these materials.

At the same time, Ai Xunyan’s Research Institute also enjoyed different treatment than before. Many enterprises and families in society extended olive branches to them, wanting to invest in their research. The Government was no exception, but Ai Xunyan preferred research with independent autonomy, so she refused them all.

However, she agreed to Xu Bai’s cooperation without even thinking.

She felt that Xu Bai could bring better development to materials science and also better development to her and her Research Institute... After dinner, everyone returned to Xu Bai’s Research Institute, toured the drone, and some people even tried operating it.

After a short rest, everyone immediately began their research... Xu Bai and Bai Shan discussed their understanding of video with each other, seeking common ground while reserving differences, and formulated the details and final research goals.

”To achieve video synchronization, the drone needs a receiver, a converter, and a transmitter.

The receiver receives the captured images; then the converter converts the received images for easy transmission; finally, the transmitter sends the converted form of the images to the person controlling the remote control below.

Then, the person operating the drone below needs a receiver, a converter, and a player.

The receiver receives the information transmitted from the drone, then the converter reconverts it into video, and then the player plays the video.”

Before, it was just a simple description; now, the simple description had to be continuously broken down into small parts.

Then, each of these small parts would be researched and finally reassembled.

The research assistants below listened to this description and felt that the research had also become simpler... On the other side, Ai Xunyan’s team also began researching materials.

They first screened out materials that roughly met the requirements, and then researched those materials.

In fact, for researching any material, many times it really just depends on luck.

Some materials inherently meet the requirements and do not need any additions or modifications. Many times, they can be directly integrated with cardss or applied to the surface of objects.

But some materials require various complex steps to meet the research requirements, such as mixing, extracting, peeling, etc. What specific operations are performed depends on the individual ability of the researcher.

Xu Bai saw the members of Ai Xunyan’s team researching and felt that they were like witches pouring various magic potions, then heating and stirring, and finally a new material appeared.

Xu Bai found that the concentration of reagents added to the selected materials that met the requirements seemed to be the same.

Is their research on new materials so simple and crude?

Xu Bai couldn’t help but ask Ai Xunyan.

”Our current idea is to find them first, and then research more precise proportions to improve the material’s capabilities.

There’s no other way, material research is like this; it relies heavily on luck. Its essence is the superposition of information asymmetry, uncertainty, and resource matching. Therefore, not everyone can research materials.”
