Chapter 296: Amazing Hantang Processor
Chapter 296 The Han and Tang processors that amaze the world

”Small and small core architecture.”

The reporter who heard Lin Xuan’s words looked at Lin Xuan in surprise, not knowing what kind of architecture the so-called large and small core architecture is?

Dual-core architecture They know that, after all, Intel’s ”glue dual-core” name is the world’s leader.

But what kind of architecture is this so-called large and small core architecture? Is there anything magical about it?

The reporters who were so curious turned their attention to Lin Xuan, looked at Lin Xuan curiously, and waited for Lin Xuan’s answer.

“The large and small core architecture is composed of a large core responsible for processing data and a small core responsible for translating and translating data.

Among them, the large core is what we often call the CPU. This CPU uses the Hantang computer instruction set independently developed by Hantang Technology.

Because we have abandoned the historical burden of the past, we have been striving for ultra-high efficiency and ultra-high performance from the beginning of design.

So the performance of our large-core processor is very scary, it can be said that the performance is far beyond your imagination, and it is not a problem to have more than a dozen with the same process! ”

Hearing Lin Xuan’s words, the reporters at the scene nodded one after another.

The reporters on the scene also understood how powerful the processor is after discarding the burden of past history.

Because Hantang Technology has proved itself through mobile phone processors!

After all, when Hantang Technology developed mobile phone processors, it abandoned all the burdens of the past history and went directly to ultra-high efficiency and ultra-high performance design.

Through the purpose of this design and development, after the Hantang mobile phone processor was born, it really successfully beat all the mobile phone processors in the world, and other companies are far from being able to compare with it.

After all, there is a huge gap between the two from the beginning of the design, even if they adopt a new architecture that they think is super powerful.

But in fact, the performance of their mobile phone processors after manufacturing is still not as good as that of Hantang Technology mobile phone processors.

Under the same process, their processors can only reach 30% of that of Hantang Technology, and the strongest of them can only reach 60% of that of Hantang Technology’s mobile phone processor.

This is the point of having no legacy burden and building an ultra-high performance instruction set from scratch from the ground up!

But now Lin Xuan is playing the same routine, and has also been developing from scratch with ultra-high performance and ultra-high efficiency all the way, plus there is no historical burden from the past.

It is conceivable that under the same process technology, the computing performance of the Hantang processor must easily crush the CPU processors of Intel and A.M.D.

After all, the processors of the two companies have too much historical burden, and the X86 instruction set has a history of more than 40 years.

It can be said that in order to support the previous software and games for the X86 system, the historical burden of the two companies has been extremely huge.

There are too many transistors being used for unknown things, not fully used on the knife edge.

So in this case, there is no need to worry about the processor performance of Hantang Technology, and there is no need to question it at all.

With Hantang Technology’s prior experience in mobile phone processor development, Hantang Technology’s CPU processor can easily crush Intel and A.M.D’s CPU processors!

Even because of the huge burden of the X86 system in the past, it is entirely possible that its performance can reach the performance of several Intel and A.M.D processors!

But at this time, the reporter from the Bay Island chased after him reluctantly and asked:

”Mr. Lin, although your processor was developed because of abandoning the historical burden and directly aiming at ultra-high performance and ultra-high efficiency from scratch.

It is conceivable that the computing performance of the CPU processor developed by your company must be able to easily crush Intel’s processor.

But this also means that your CPU processor cannot support many software of the X86 system!

So this act of discarding the burden of the past is not a good act, and it does not solve the problem I just mentioned. ”

Hearing what the Bay Island reporter said, Lin Xuan shook his head with a smile, then looked away from the Bay Island reporter, looked at other reporters and said with a smile:

”I just finished introducing the big core, so let’s introduce the small core that translates and transfers data just now.”

”Small nuclei that translate translocation data?”

At this time, I heard Lin Xuan reiterate the role of this small core.

Among the reporters at the scene, several reporters seemed to have a pensive look in their eyes, and then they all showed surprise on their faces!

”That’s right, it’s the small core responsible for translating and transferring data!”

Listening to those surprised and puzzled voices, Lin Xuan smiled and nodded, then slowly said:

”As we all know, Hantang Technology spent 100 million US dollars to acquire the X86 instruction set patent license held by VIA (Weisheng Electronics), and also obtained the related processor patents held by Weisheng Electronics.”

Hearing Lin Xuan mention this matter, the reporters at the scene nodded slightly to show that they knew about it.

At the beginning, Hantang Technology acquired Weisheng Electronics’ X86 instruction set authorization and related processor patents, which made many people excited.

When this news report came out, countless people in Daxia shouted in the streets and alleys and on the Internet that domestic CPUs would rise.

But the result was that shortly after that day, Bill Gycer said a word that instantly stopped those excited people, like a duck whose neck was pinched and never talked about it again.

And after that, experts led by Professor He accused Lin Xuan of spending 100 million US dollars to acquire the X86 instruction set as a brain-dead behavior...

So the reporters at this time still had fresh memories of what happened back then. When they heard Lin Xuan talk about what happened back then, they naturally nodded slightly.

“At the beginning, many so-called experts in the TV media or the Internet accused us of spending 100 million US dollars to acquire the authorization of the X86 instruction set as a waste of money.

But I want to tell them now that the original $100 million was not wasted, but it played a huge role when we developed computer processors.

The function is the small core I just mentioned. This small core is a small core responsible for translating transshipment data. How to translate it?

You can understand it as a transit translation central station, when we run X86 system software or games.

Then we can use this X86 small core to translate and transfer, so that software and games that are not X86 instruction sets can also run, and the main working principle is...”

Hundreds of reporters at the scene listened to Lin Xuan explaining the principle of the processor, and their eyes showed half-understanding expressions.

They don’t really understand the technical principles and implementation methods explained by Lin Xuan.

But through Lin Xuan’s words, they know that the small core in this Hantang processor can allow Hantang Technology’s processor to directly run X86 system software!

They don’t understand and don’t need to understand what the technical principles and implementation principles are, but when they understand the role of the small core, all the reporters on the scene showed excited expressions.

Because this means that Hantang Technology has not given up the games and software that support the Weisoft system!

Hantang Technology uses their X86 small core to support the X86 instruction set at the hardware level, which allows the games and software of the Weisoft system to use this processor to play games!

This virtually broke the situation that Hantang Technology will never be able to use Weiruan system and game software ecology!

”This is amazing too!”

A young reporter looked at Lin Xuan with admiration on his face. He never thought that Lin Xuan would think of developing such a magical processor.

Through the processor architecture of large and small cores, it is equivalent to that this processor can use Hantang computer system software, as well as Weisoft system software and games.

It has to be said that this large and small core processor architecture allows Hantang Technology’s processors to have a very broad space.

But amidst the sight of admiration and emotion, a not-so-harmonious voice suddenly sounded.

So people looked there, and the source of the voice was the reporter from Bay Island:

”Mr. Lin Xuan, although the architecture of the large and small core processors you proposed is very delicate, it can support the Han and Tang computer operating systems at the same time.

It can also support the X86 system through small core translation and transfer, so as to use the software and games on the Weisoft operating system.

But there is actually some kind of invisible defect, after all, your processor is not a native processor, but is translated and transferred by the small core.

But because the Weisoft system does not support it, the software and games of the Weisoft system may not be able to recognize your processor.

In this case, how should your processor use the software and games of Weisoft system? This is a big problem.

So this size architecture is not suitable. After all, there is an extra X86 small core, which can be regarded as a burden on the CPU of Hantang Technology.

In this case, it is better to abandon this burden directly, and use all the transistors in these burdens for calculation, so as to make the performance of the large core more powerful. ”

Seeing this reporter who repeatedly put forward various opinions and wanted to find fault, Lin Xuan was not angry, because he also needed a compliment to set off his strong technology.

If you just let him say how powerful his technique is, people may not understand it, but if there is someone who comes and sings against him.

Then in the process of his answering, the solution he gave will let people know how strong his technology is.

So for the Bay Island reporter who repeatedly raised objections, Lin Xuan did not invite the other party out directly, but slowly expressed his opinion after thinking for a while.

”About the question you raised, I can tell you clearly that we will not extravagantly expect Weisoft’s system to support our processor, and we will always adhere to the unwavering strategy of developing a domestic operating system.”

”This…”

Hearing Lin Xuan’s words, the reporters at the scene showed puzzled expressions. What does Lin Xuan mean?

Since Lin Xuan wants to stick to the domestic operating system, why does he need an X86 small core?

The Weisoft system does not support you, so what if you can use the software and games of the X86 system at the hardware level, this kind of translation and transfer is an alternative form of implementation, can other software and games recognize your processor?

The reporters at the scene were full of confusion and confusion.
