Technological Empire Starts From Shanzhai System

Chapter 284: X86 system
Chapter 284 X86 system

But in any case, the behavior of using other operating system software is implemented whether it is through the hardware level or the software level.

The loss of performance is inevitable after all, according to Lin Xuan’s estimation.

Using a virtual machine with equal performance and equal power consumption may result in a performance loss of about 3% to 30%.

Of course, the specific performance loss depends on the specific application software or game, the quality of the application software, and so on.

So this is the inevitable defect of using the virtual machine form, but this defect has no practical impact on Hantang Technology.

Because the processor of Hantang Technology is an ultra-high-performance RISC processor.

Compared to the complex instruction set processor of the X86 instruction set, more than half of the computer instructions do not play a role at all.

The processor developed by Hantang Technology is a high-performance RISC processor. From the beginning of the design, it has been designed with the characteristics of high performance, high efficiency, and no consideration of power loss.

So the final performance of Hantang Technology must be very powerful, so the lost performance is insignificant at all.

Lin Xuan dare to assure you that with the same power consumption and the same positioning, the fluency of playing games or using software with Hantang processors is enough to match several Core processors!

So the disadvantage that the performance of virtual machines must be lost is not too serious.

On the contrary, Lin Xuan’s large and small core design mode has advantages enough to overwhelm the disadvantages and make the disadvantages insignificant!

”But just saying this is not enough, next I should give full play to our strengths.

This time I can’t just stand by and give pointers, it’s time for me to release a black technology. ”

Originally, Lin Xuan didn’t want to make a move, but this time Lin Xuan is going to develop a black technology, which is enough to make the computers of Hantang Technology completely crush Intel in the future!

Now Hantang Technology is about to be able to develop processors that can easily crush Core processors in terms of performance.

But the computer is not just a powerful processor that can determine the final victory or defeat, nor is it that you have your own system and complete your own ecological chain to successfully replace Intel and Weisoft.

It’s just that the two alone are not enough, and it is not enough for the Hantang system to replace the X86 system.

So Lin Xuan is going to develop a black technology that can completely replace the black technology of the X86 system!

”I’ll be busy again next time.”

Lin Xuan said with a wry smile.

Originally, Lin Xuan didn’t plan to intervene too much, but planned to assist them in the form of a mentor, so that they could take this opportunity to grow up.

Finally fulfilling Lin Xuan’s goal of ”a strong scientific research is the real strength” of Lin Xuan, which can be regarded as a kind of vacation for himself. After all, Lin Xuan has been working at a high frequency for more than a year.

But now that the situation is like this, Lin Xuan can only personally develop a black technology to break the current unfavorable situation.

So at this time, Intel and Weiruan didn’t know what kind of ending their actions had caused!

…

the next day.

June 10, 2005.

When Lin Xuan made a decision and was about to do something about it.

On a certain TV station with the word ”Hu” that night, Professor He, the most famous professor in the country recently appeared on the TV program again.

The topic of this discussion is undoubtedly still the topic of Han and Tang science and technology.

”Professor He, what do you think of WeiRuan’s president, Mr. Bill Gaici, announcing yesterday that he will not support Hantang Technology’s processor?”

The hostess took the lead in asking the core points of the most heated discussions among the common people.

”First of all, Mr. Bill Coverer’s behavior is quite shameless. We would like to condemn Mr. Bill Coverer’s behavior.”

Professor He deserves to be a professor who can live happily until now. He didn’t praise Bill Gaici for doing a good job in this program.

Even if he thinks so in his heart and thinks that Mr. Bill Gycer has done a good job, this method can be called a devastating blow.

But he honestly condemned Bill Coverer. After all, he wanted to guide public opinion, and to guide public opinion must first resonate with everyone.

Now the people are very angry with Weiruan. If he speaks good things for Weiruan at this time, he will become the enemy of the people.

At this time, the hostess slowly asked the next question:

”Professor He, now Hantang Technology cannot get the support of Weiruan system, which also means that even if we develop a processor in the future, we will not be able to use it to play games and application software, right?”

”That’s right, the Weiruan system doesn’t support it, and it’s useless for Lin Xuan to do anything at this time, after all, the Weiruan system is owned by Weiruan.

Even if Hantang Technology launches its own hardware driver, it is after all on other people’s territory, and it is very easy for the Weiruan system to mess with you.

As for how to do it, let me give an example. This example is very common, but it is very insidious. This insidious method is called program crash.

Weisoft system is in control of the system, and all applications, that is, software and games, run around it.

As long as Weiruan wants to, he can make a little bug at the system level at any time!

In this way, when we play games or use penguin chat, it will crash from time to time, so who can stand it? ! ”

”Suck!”

When the audience in front of the live TV heard what Professor He said, they took a breath of air.

The examples pointed out by Professor He are too realistic and cruel, because Weisoft can indeed do this!

If WeiRuan, which controls the WeiRuan system, really wants to make some small moves, it can really make your life worse than death!

Just think about playing a game for ten or twenty minutes, and then the game suddenly crashes, who can bear it? !

I have to say that through the example given by Professor He, the people of Daxia have realized the importance of the system.

The Weiruan system is in the hands of Weiruan Company. It is too easy for them to mess with whoever they want. Once the Weiruan system shamelessly engages in small tricks, who can win against Weiruan Company?

After all, the Weiruan system is someone else’s thing. Your program is supposed to run on the Weiruan system. Can the application win against the Weiruan system?

Thinking of this a lot, during this period of time, the people of Daxia who already knew what a computer is, what a system is, and what a processor and an instruction set are, fell silent.

”That is to say, even if Hantang Technology can develop its own processor, and even succeed in developing its own driver in the future, the lifeblood is still in the hands of Weiruan System.

Then because of the small actions of the program crash of Weisoft system, the processor of Hantang Technology will be scolded, and finally the processor of Hantang Technology will be rejected by people.

Doesn’t this mean that we will never let our domestic CPU replace foreign CPUs, and our computers will always be subject to foreign companies? ”

Hearing the hostess’ question, the audience in front of the TV nodded, feeling a little desperate.

But at this time, Professor He shook his head slightly and said with a smile:

”Not necessarily. After all, Hantang Technology has its own Hantang system kernel. At this time, they can completely develop a computer operating system.”

”This…”

Hearing Professor He’s words, the hostess was slightly taken aback, then nodded slightly and said:

“The mobile phone operating system of Hantang Technology is now the second largest mobile phone operating system in the world, and it is said that the installed capacity has reached 200 million mobile phones.

Hantang Technology does have the strength to develop computer operating systems. ”

”Yes, Hantang Technology has the strength to develop computer operating systems, but I am not optimistic about their computer operating systems.

Because their computer operating system is a brand new system, it is equivalent to a blank sheet of paper with nothing on it.

At that time, the computer operating system developed by Hantang Technology could not run Penguin Chat, work, play online games, or stand-alone games.

Many software on our computer is not on it, so what is the use of such an operating system and such a computer?

Imagine trying to save enough money to buy an expensive computer, only to end up with games that don’t work on your computer.

You can’t use the Penguin chat software to chat with others, you can’t use this computer to play online games or stand-alone games with others, and even many software can’t be used at all.

When you know that other computers can use various software, play online games with others, and chat with penguins...

You don’t have the software and games that other computers have. How do you feel at this time? I’m afraid my heart is so angry that I vomit blood.

Spent several months of wages without eating or drinking, but ended up buying a piece of trash. What is the use of this thing? ”

The audience in front of the TV at the scene fell silent when they heard Professor He’s words.

Even if many of the people watching this show are patriots, they all really want to support domestic computers, domestic CPUs and even domestic computer operating systems.

But thinking of all the bad prospects that Professor He told about, even the most determined among them could not help but soften.

Whoever likes to buy this garbage computer will buy it, so they won’t fall into this trap!

After all, this is a computer that requires them to eat or drink, and it takes several months of salary to afford it. Why buy it if you can’t use it!

”Professor He, is there really no way out?”

The hostess continued to ask her questions.

”Yes, as long as you have money.

There is no game. Hantang Technology can pay those game companies or software companies to develop games and software for Hantang computer operating system versions for them.

But this road is not easy. You can think about how much software there is in the country and even the world. If Hantang Technology spends money, how much money can it afford?

General application software is okay, but it is a bit of a headache when it comes to games.

Because the system developed by Hantang Technology at that time must be a brand new computer operating system.

The processor that Hantang Technology Co., Ltd. will develop in the future is also estimated to be a reduced instruction set processor, which is not compatible with the X86 system or even has anything in common.

In order not to infringe on the relevant patents of the Weiruan system, Hantang Technology may launch a new programming language at that time.

This will cause the software and games to not be transplanted at all, and even if they are transplanted, there will be many bugs.

In this case, if you want to forcibly transplant, you will definitely get a lot of criticism from BOU, so it is better to directly use the new programming language to copy a brand new game one by one.

But how much does it cost to copy a brand new game 1:1? Can Hantang Technology afford the money?

Think about how many games there are in the world, think about how much money those game companies spent developing games...

In fact, Hantang Technology lost this war from the very beginning!
