Technological Empire Starts From Shanzhai System

Chapter 279: When will the domestic CPU be launched?
Chapter 279 When will the domestic CPU be launched?

”Chip dream?!”

Hearing Ms. Huang say a term ”chip dream” that has been very popular recently, the reporters at the scene looked at the silent Mr. Shen in amazement.

“My husband worked in Intel in his early years and was an important key member of Intel’s scientific research department.

My husband was very unhappy when he worked there, because the employees there always looked down on us building people.

Always look down on us, think we are behind, think we should have braids.

So whenever my husband was being discriminated against, despised, or treated unfairly, my husband thought that it would be great if I could produce a processor as powerful as Intel.

In this way, foreigners will never look down on us Daxia, think that we are backward, and think that we should have braids.

So when my husband was working at Intel, he kept studying hard and working hard towards this goal. ”

After hearing Ms. Huang’s words, many reporters couldn’t help turning their heads to look at Mr. Shen at this time. They didn’t expect that Mr. Shen would suffer such grievances when he was working at Intel Corporation.

But think about it, with the experience of reporters, they naturally know that such grievances are not an isolated case, but a common phenomenon.

That’s why so many high-level talents who have lived in Meidi Country for many years will give up Meidi Country and choose to return to Daxia to develop.

Because the Xia people over there have developed and climbed to a certain level in a certain company, they will find that there is an invisible wall blocking their ascent, and the reason for blocking them is because they are Daxia people.

So this is also the reason why so many executives and even core technicians in Medigo would give up the ”favorable conditions” in Medigo and return to Daxia and the mainland of Bay Island.

Of course, only the kind of talents who can’t get up and down will be returned, and those who are truly top-level talents will not be let go.

“So my husband entered the electronics industry after returning to Bay Island to start a business. In the end, he chose to make his first pot of gold by developing motherboard chipsets for processors, and then entered the general processor industry.

The final result is as you can see, after our Weisheng Electronics Co., Ltd. achieved success through the development of the motherboard.

We even acquired Cyrix and Centaur in 1999 at the peak. ”

Speaking of this, Ms. Huang sighed, then looked at her husband affectionately and said:

”We acquired these two companies, and then invested a lot of money in the research and development of our Bay Island, which is also Daxia’s first X86 instruction set processor VIA-C3!

But it is a pity that although we launched the first domestic processor of the X86 instruction set in Bay Island, our scientific research strength is insufficient.

The performance of the VIA-C3 processor we launched is very weak, completely inferior to the processors of Intel and A.M.D.

As a result, the market was naturally cold, and it can be said that even with the support of the Bay Island government.

Our VIA-C3 processors sold less than 100,000 pieces in total, and the tens of millions of dollars invested in research funds turned into a blood loss. ”

When Ms. Huang told about the failures of Weisheng Electronics, the reporters at the scene couldn’t help but feel sorry.

At the same time, they also felt that it was so difficult to develop CPU processors.

Weisheng Electronics spent tens of millions of dollars at the beginning, but failed to develop it successfully, and finally developed a Bay Island CPU that is not popular in the market.

The research and development of this computer CPU chip is more difficult than they imagined.

On the other side, when the reporters nodded slightly at this time, Ms. Huang went on to say:

”Everyone knows the history after that, because Weisheng Electronics launched the first domestic CPU processor, we were finally suppressed by Intel.

A lawsuit since 2001 has dragged Weisheng Electronics into a quagmire, and because we have no money to develop new processors, we are forced to invest a lot of money in meaningless patent lawsuits.

Finally, 5 years have passed, and because we have no money, we have been unable to develop the next generation of CPU!

It can be said that my husband’s original ambitions have been forced to evaporate! ”

As Ms. Huang’s words fell to the ground, the reporters on the scene fell silent.

Weisheng Electronics’ original ambitions and various failures at the beginning made people feel silent about whether Lin Xuan could develop a general-purpose processor.

Regardless of whether Lin Xuan can succeed or not, they all feel that it is a very difficult road to develop CPUs.

This road is so difficult that even if it is as strong as Hantang Technology, it may fall down in this CPU project!

However, when the reporters were silent, Ms. Huang suddenly became emotional. She turned her head to look at Lin Xuan and said:

”When we fell into despair, we saw the dawn of hope, a dawn that can replace my husband’s Daxia chip with domestic computer chips and defeat Intel!

This dawn is Mr. Lin Xuan!

Mr. Lin Xuan has proved his strength through his scientific research strength, and Hantang Technology has a huge cash flow. Finally, Hantang Technology has conquered the 45nm process technology and can directly produce 45nm chips.

So after we heard that Mr. Lin Xuan failed to negotiate with Intel and could not obtain the X86 instruction set, in order to realize my husband’s dream of ”big summer core”.

So we came to the headquarters of Hantang Technology to find Lin Xuan, because we had passed our failures and knew that we VIA did not have the strength to manufacture the CPU chips in our building.

I don’t have the strength to defeat A.M.D, and I don’t have the strength to defeat Intel, so as to fulfill my dream of domestic replacement of Daxia’s computer chips!

But we believe that Mr. Lin Xuan can take over my husband’s dream, fulfill my dream of replacing domestically produced computer chips in Daxia, and manufacture the world’s most powerful computer processor.

So that when those foreign people who look down on us see us again, they will raise their hands to us and say, ”Your computer is crooked!”

”Papa papa papa papa papa papa...”

As Ms. Huang’s passionate voice fell, the scene suddenly burst into warm applause!

The reporters at the scene heard Ms. Huang tell her husband Mr. Shen’s dream of ”Great Summer Core”, and people couldn’t help being moved by Mr. Shen’s patriotic feelings.

So the impression of Mr. Shen or VIA (Weisheng Electronics) in people’s minds suddenly changed, and he became a patriotic entrepreneur, a patriotic enterprise who vowed to complete the replacement of domestic computer chips for Daxia!

At this time, Lin Xuan, hearing Ms. Huang’s words, couldn’t help feeling in his heart that this Mr. Shen really found a right wife. I’m afraid the name of a good wife is not enough to describe it.

It can be said that Weisheng Electronics is a company that is still a little strange to the common people in Daxia just because of this speech.

I am afraid that after the reports of the reporters on the scene, the company VIA (Weisheng Electronics) will establish the image of a patriotic company in the hearts of the people in Daxia!

With a good image and a natural cognition that ”patriots will never cheat their own people”, it is conceivable that the sales of Weisheng Electronics’ motherboards in Daxia will explode instantly in the future.

No wonder Weisheng Electronics was able to create such an achievement at the beginning, not to mention that the market share in the motherboard field reached 30%.

Later, it even acquired those two CPU companies and G3, the fourth largest graphics card company in the world. In addition, it can produce computer motherboards by itself, and directly completed the achievement of self-produced and self-sold computers!

Among them, the biggest credit is probably due to this Ms. Huang!

Ms. Huang is good at seizing any small opportunity to turn it into a means that is beneficial to herself. It really makes people feel that there are such strange women in the world.

If you don’t know the details, you probably don’t know about the business negotiation between them yesterday.

Weisheng Electronics initially proposed 300 million US dollars plus the permanent free right to use the WIPI wireless LAN patent.

Those who don’t know, probably thought that Weisheng Electronics’ husband and wife approached Lin Xuan and immediately said, “Only need 100 million, and then transfer all the rest to you.”

I have to say that this Ms. Huang is really not simple, and it is really lucky for Mr. Shen to marry such a wife.

However, Lin Xuan did not expose Ms. Huang’s act of using this press conference to deliberately manage Weisheng Electronics as a ”Patriot Enterprise” image.

After all, no matter what, Lin Xuan did buy the X86 instruction set directly for only 100 million US dollars plus no other extra cash. This is the result.

So Lin Xuan, who got the cheap one, did not dismantle the patriotic corporate image specially created by others, but acquiesced to what the other party said.

In addition, even if other reporters hear about it in the future, Lin Xuan will speak well for them.

However, when Lin Xuan was lost in thought, the reporters at the scene also stopped applauding.

During this period, they also took their photos, and then a reporter slowly raised his hand.

In an instant, everyone focused on him.

”Just ask.”

When the reporter raised his hand, Lin Xuan also came back to his senses, and then said something softly.

”Mr. Lin, after you have obtained the X86 instruction set, can you tell me about your next plan? When will Hantang Technology’s domestic CPU be launched?”

Facing the two questions directly asked by the reporter, Lin Xuan frowned slightly, and then slowly said his answer:

”What is the detailed development plan is our company’s secret, I can only say that our goal is to defeat Intel and complete the replacement of domestic CPU chips!

From now on, let my Daxia’s computer chips be my Daxia’s chips, and kick the Intel CPU out of the country. As for the future, we will enter the world! ”

”Kacha Kacha Kacha Kacha Kacha Kacha...”

When Lin Xuan gave the first answer, the reporters also pressed the cameras in their hands at the right time.

After a long time, after the flashing of the camera stopped, Lin Xuan went on to say the second answer:

”As for when our domestic CPU will be launched, I can say a minimum deadline.

This minimum deadline is that we will launch our domestic CPU before the end of this year! ”
