Technological Empire Starts From Shanzhai System

Chapter 282: Lin Xuan’s amazing creativity!
Chapter 282 Lin Xuan’s Amazing Idea!

Especially when the other party pointed out the key point that Weiruan has **** thousands of software companies behind him, he became even more silent.

”Actually, there is a way to circumvent the Weiruan system.”

In the silence, at this moment, the old programmer slowly uttered a sentence that made people stunned.

Under the surprised gazes of many colleagues at the wine table, he said slowly:

”Don’t forget that there are virtual machines in this world, although the Weisoft system does not support Hantang Technology’s processors.

But if Hantang Technology specializes in developing an X86 software virtual machine, and identifies software that supports the X86 instruction set through a special coding method, do you think it will work? ”

”This…”

Hearing the old programmer’s words, the people at the scene couldn’t help but fell silent.

Theoretically speaking, this method is indeed feasible, but it is very difficult to implement it in practice. Based on what they have seen, they can roughly speculate on the results.

If you really want to develop such an X86 software virtual machine, then its development is more difficult than developing several Weisoft systems!

At this time, the bald middle-aged uncle heard the words of the old programmer, and he immediately stated the shortcomings of this method:

“While theoretically this is possible, it is not easy to do.

If this is achieved purely from the software level, the final efficiency must be very low.

If you want to improve efficiency, you can only develop an X86 software processing chip in the end. In addition, you need to carry out targeted programming and development for this processor chip.

So to achieve this step requires the perfect cooperation of software and hardware.

The energy and funds consumed are huge, and I don’t think Lin Xuan has the possibility to achieve success. ”

”No, I just think Lin Xuan can do it, after all, Lin Xuan has created so many miracles!”

The old programmer smiled faintly and looked at the bald middle-aged uncle, his eyes full of determination.

The young man on the side also nodded slightly when he saw this. Then I felt in my heart that **** is still old and spicy.

This old programmer actually came up with such a way to break the situation, it really broke the crisis all at once.

At this time, they don’t know that they are in the Han and Tang Research Institute at this time.

At present, hundreds of scientific researchers who are responsible for researching and developing computer chips are feeling very lucky.

Fortunately, Hantang Technology did not develop corresponding computer chips based on X86 instruction set processors.

Otherwise, follow the Weisoft system to say that it does not support Hantang Technology processors.

The huge capital investment of Hantang Technology Co., Ltd. may have been in vain.

Now Hantang Technology does not take the old way of combining pure X86 processors with reduced instruction sets like Intel and A.M.D.

Instead, it developed its own CPU based on the computer board Hantang instruction set, and finally combined with an X86 instruction set small-core auxiliary form.

It can be said that in this mode of large and small cores, the processor of Hantang Technology has ample room for activities.

Future Hantang processors can be compatible with the X86 instruction set, directly compatible with many X86 software, and steal the software ecological chain of the X86 instruction set.

Tui can use his own computer Hantang instruction set to develop a computer version of the Hantang operating system directly based on the computer version of the Hantang instruction set.

The most wonderful thing is that because of the existence of the X86 small core, the computer version of the Hantang operating system can directly run software that supports the X86 instruction set through the X86 small core.

It can be said that with Lin Xuan’s use of the processor R&D strategy of large and small cores, Hantang Technology’s processors are in a situation where both advances and retreats are available!

And because Hantang Technology has the production authorization of the X86 instruction set, it also has the authorization of the MMX multimedia instruction set attached to the X86.

It can be said that as long as Hantang Technology does not infringe on Intel’s SSE series instruction set, or A.M.D’s 3DNow! extended instruction set.

It is not illegal for Hantang Technology to play such a large and small core processor routine!

Even if Intel and A.M.D Company will jump over the wall because of Lin Xuan’s behavior, there is nothing they can do with Hantang Technology!

Because Hantang Technology did not infringe their patents, Hantang Technology used its own authorization, how could this be illegal?

Of course, this strategy is not without flaws, because Hantang Technology has no way to obtain after the late 1990s.

Many new instruction sets introduced by Intel and A.M.D.

In multimedia and high-performance computing, it is actually a bit weak. After all, Cyrix only obtained the authorization of the MXX instruction set.

After    many multimedia and high-performance instruction sets were born, Cyrix was on the verge of bankruptcy when they were born.

After the small Cyrix was acquired, Weisheng Electronics also had no money or means to obtain new multimedia and high-performance instruction sets.

So in terms of multimedia instruction set, Hantang Technology only obtained the first generation MMX multimedia instruction set.

However, although the calculations on multimedia and large-scale software are a bit weak, this does not affect it at all.

Because the real calculation is not the small X86 core but the large core of the Han and Tang instruction set.

The small core is actually just an intermediary, responsible for giving calculation requirements and then getting the calculation results of the large core.

So Hantang Technology only has the MXX multimedia instruction set and it doesn’t have a big impact!

”The boss really has a high vision, and he has foreseen such a crisis in advance.

It can only be said that the boss is worthy of being the boss. If it weren’t for the boss’s big and small core processor strategy, then we would have lost a lot. ”

At this time, in the research room of the Hantang Research Institute, some scientific researchers were discussing this matter in a low voice. They praised Lin Xuan’s big and small core processors.

Of course they also guessed at this time whether Lin Xuan had already foreseen such a situation in the future, so he proposed the development strategy of large and small core processors, and eliminated Weisoft’s attack in advance.

”However, although such a strategy is good, it is somewhat dangerous at the Han and Tang system level.”

A researcher from Hantang Technology slowly expressed his opinion.

Although the Hantang processor launched such a large and small core architecture, it did not infringe the patents of Intel and A.M.D.

Let them sue Hantang Technology even if they want to sue Hantang Technology.

But at the system software level, it seems that it is not illegal for Hantang Technology’s computer system to directly use software from other people’s systems.

Because there is no such precedent in the world, it is ambiguous whether this is illegal or not.

But Weiruan really wants to sue Hantang Technology, so it is really possible to sue Hantang Technology in court, and it is possible to win the lawsuit and make Hantang Technology compensate a large loss.

So although Hantang Technology can use this method to allow itself to advance or retreat in the processor field, so that people can only gnash their teeth and have no choice but to violate the rules at the system software level.

Regarding this, another young researcher said with a smile:

”What are you worried about? Don’t forget that our Hantang system is an open source system!

Weisoft can sue if they want to, they go to those ”netizens” who posted anonymously on the Internet.

Why does Weiruan ask us Hantang Technology? After all, our Hantang Technology system does not ”naturally” support X86 software! ”

The words of that young scientific researcher instantly sounded like a wake-up call to wake up the depression in the hearts of all the scientific research staff on site.

Yes, the Hantang system is an open source system!

At this time, it is completely possible to release a hardware driver supporting X86 software in the form of a ”vest”, and throw the blame on the ”folk masters” of Daxia!

Their Hantang Technology is completely innocent!

”Hahahahaha...”

After figuring out the joints, hundreds of researchers in the Hantang Research Institute responsible for researching and developing computer CPUs suddenly burst out laughing.

They all felt that Lin Xuan was really far-sighted, and Lin Xuan’s method was really clever.

At this time, in the Han and Tang Research Institute, these scientific researchers who were unattainable in the eyes of their colleagues all admired Lin Xuan.

…

Longxin Charco Company, Beijing.

When many technology companies in the capital were resting, Longxin Charco Company was still brightly lit at this time.

Although it cannot be said that the whole company is brightly lit, the research department of Longxin Charco is brightly lit.

After all, it is only after 8 o’clock in the evening, and many scientific researchers spontaneously return to the company to work overtime after dinner.

This is the normal state of Longxin Charco!

No way, the scientific research funds invested by the above are not enough, and the scientific research task of Longxin Charco is very difficult.

They, Longxin Charco, need to develop and design a CPU chip with Daxia’s independent intellectual property rights to complete the domestic substitution of computer chips.

It can be said that in the unfavorable situation of insufficient scientific research funds and insufficient scientific research personnel.

Longxin Xiake can only make up for the deficiencies in those two aspects by working overtime, and complete the task of replacing Daxia’s domestic CPU chips.

Among them, many people couldn’t bear to work overtime every day and left Longxin Xiake Company because they couldn’t see their heads and were not paid enough.

But there are more people who are willing to work overtime voluntarily, even if the overtime subsidy is very poor...

But in order to complete the important task of replacing domestic CPUs in Daxia and fulfilling the ”Dream of Daxia Revival”, they insist on voluntarily working overtime every day. These are the cutest people in Daxia!

”Mr. Hu, it seems that Lin Xuan is going to fail this time.”

At this time, in the Longxin Xiake scientific research department, people who have worked for a long time also took a break.

They were discussing with each other in low voices what the major newspapers reprinted in today’s interview video with the world’s richest man, Bill Cover.

At this time, a young man was expressing his views to their leader, Hu Zhixin, who had the strongest scientific research ability.

But without waiting for Hu Zhixin to speak, another researcher beside him said slowly:

”However, this is also good. Since the X86 system cannot accommodate our domestic CPU, then we will work with Hantang Technology to create a brand new Hantang system computer empire.”

Regarding this, another young man wearing glasses shook his head slightly, and then said helplessly:

”I’m afraid it’s not that easy. After all, those software companies who are eager to make money probably won’t invest money in to provide support for our processor and Hantang system.”

Hearing the words of the young man wearing glasses, the others fell silent for an instant.

Indeed, this is indeed the biggest flaw of their Loongson processors!

This defect is difficult to make up, even if they can launch the world’s strongest processor, but because there is no software support.

Their processor is just a castle in the sky, it doesn’t do anything at all, and consumers will not buy such a processor!

”I don’t know what Mr. Hu thinks?”

A young man who spoke first slowly set his sights on Hu Zhixin, wanting to see what Hu Zhixin, the head of their Longxin Xiake, thought about this matter.
