Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

144: Chapter 144 The Sleeping God? The Past?[Ding]

[This Evolution requires 129,600 years. Please wait patiently, Host.]

As the words faded, the system fell silent.

”One, ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, one hundred thousand?”

”That long?”

Lin Sheng did not know what would emerge from this Evolution, but judging by the consumption of over a hundred thousand years, this Evolution would surely bring about a major change for him.

Since over a hundred thousand years was too long, Lin Sheng intended to let his consciousness leave his body first to explore this world.

However, just as Lin Sheng intended to do so, the system’s notification sound rang out once again.

[Ding]

[Because this Evolution involves the Host’s consciousness, the Host’s consciousness cannot leave the body during the Evolution.]

”Fine, I’m really going to have to sleep for over a hundred thousand years this time.”

...

In the deep space of the universe, a biological body larger than an ordinary planet floated silently.

This creature seemed as if it did not exist in this universe; any physical object that came into contact with it would pass directly through its body.

However, one phenomenon could prove that this creature did indeed exist in this universe.

The left half of this creature’s body ceaselessly radiated pollution to its surroundings, while its right half was the exact opposite.

Divine power shrouded the right half of the creature’s body, making it a sanctuary for sheltering lower life forms.

For countless years, many weak ”Transcendent Explorers” had settled on the right half of this creature’s body to seek shelter.

Over time, as the region became famous, even Legend powerhouses would bring their families to seek shelter, aiming to obtain protection from this ”Sleeping Main God.”

The situation on the creature’s left side was much the same as the right.

The Fallen Ones brought their corrupted families to settle here, seeking to obtain powerful strength from this ”Old One.”

With two naturally hostile factions so close together, war was inevitable as time passed.

And wars like this, between factions naturally locked in a life-and-death struggle, would last for tens of thousands of years.

After tens of thousands of years of fighting, the troops of both factions not only did not decrease but actually increased the more they fought.

These additions were all living beings attracted by the war, including no shortage of ”Transcendent Explorer 9th Rank” or even ”Legend” powerhouses.

The destructive power of these powerhouses, when they waved their hands, was calculated in ”Astronomical Units,” but no matter how they fought, they could not cause any damage to this creature, which was suspected to be an ”Old One / Main God.”

As the war continued to expand, the Legend faction also realized a problem.

Fighting like this was not a solution.

They had come to seek shelter, yet from the moment they arrived until now, the war seemed to have never stopped.

If things escalated and attracted a true ”Old One,” then they would be in big trouble.

The beings of the Legend faction were very clear that a sleeping Main God could not, under any circumstances, withstand an Old One.

Moreover, this one was only a ”suspected Main God,” and its own condition was not good.

This one ”had already been half-polluted and could only rely on sleep to survive.”

After realizing this, the Legend faction shifted their offense to focus primarily on containment.

They contained the Fallen Ones faction, trying their best to keep the battlefield near the Main God.

This state of containment lasted for about thirty thousand years, until the appearance of three ”Demigods,” at which point the containment state vanished.

The first to have a Demigod appear was the Fallen Ones faction.

Relying on the Demigod, the Fallen Ones faction quickly gained the upper hand; they cleared out the Legends occupying the left half of the Old One and wanted to use the Demigod to occupy the right half of the Old One’s body.

But when that Fallen Demigod stepped onto the right half of the Old One’s body, the chaotic aura all over its body began to dissipate uncontrollably.

If it hadn’t been for that Demigod running fast enough, it was very likely it would have been purified from a Fallen Demigod directly into an ordinary Legend.

Following the departure of this Fallen Demigod, not long after, two Demigods also arrived for the Legend faction.

These two Demigods arrived here almost at the same time; as soon as they arrived, they immediately cleared out the Fallen Ones stationed on the right half of the Main God’s body.

Likewise, just like the previous Fallen Demigod, they went to crusade against the Fallen Ones there.

And their encounter was extremely similar to that of the Fallen Demigod.

They were almost polluted into becoming Fallen Ones.

From this, the Demigods of both sides reached a conclusion.

The more powerful the Transcendent, the more they would be polluted/purified by the power of this Old One / Ancient God once they stepped onto the opposite side.

After obtaining this information, the three Demigod powerhouses from both sides discussed and drafted a ceasefire agreement.

Although this was merely a verbal agreement, the agreement did indeed stop the war between the two sides.

Although small frictions still occurred, at least battles involving those above ”Transcendent Explorer 8th Rank” on both sides had become rare.

...

”Hmm?”

”Where did this land me?”

Just having awakened, Lin Sheng discovered that the place he was currently in was somewhat strange.

He felt that he was ”trapped” inside an oval-shaped sphere.

Sensing the situation around him, Lin Sheng did not rashly break open the sphere trapping him.

Because in his perception, there were many life forms around the sphere that were related to him.

The relationship between these life forms and himself was very subtle, and Lin Sheng didn’t know for a moment what words to use to describe their relationship with him.

After thinking for a moment, Lin Sheng decided to first check his condition after the Evolution, and then make plans later.

Judging from the dual feedback from his body and spirit at the moment, this Evolution was definitely not ordinary.

Host: Lin Sheng

Special Status:

golden immortal dao fruit: Through your unremitting efforts, you have finally cultivated the golden immortal dao fruit. Once the dao fruit is fully fused, you will reach the perfect Golden Immortal realm, obtain Golden Immortal cultivation, be immortal and indestructible, and not enter the cycle of reincarnation.

Special Status:

Righteous God: The living beings under your protection have gradually developed feelings of worship toward you. Long-term worship has transformed this emotion into their faith in you. Influenced by ”divinity,” you have become a Righteous God recognized by the rule of the universe.

Special Status:

Whisperer: Your body, twisted by ”chaotic information,” has become a hotbed for breeding chaos. The Fallen Ones have long drawn power from your chaotic body, and over time, the Fallen Ones have come to regard you as the supreme Lord of the Old Ones.

I thought about the realm divisions in this chapter for a long time; the main thing was to align these realms with the technology side and the xianxia side.

To ensure you don’t find it dramatic later, I will now state the realm divisions of the Evil God Universe.

Mortal, Transcendent Explorer 1-9 Rank: Corresponds to Level 2 and below civilizations.

Fallen Ones / Legend: Corresponds to Level 3 civilization.

Demigod: Corresponds to pseudo-Level 4 civilization.

Near-God (Subordinate God), True God (God without faith), Alien God (Evil God without faith), Righteous God (God with faith), Whisperer (Evil God with faith): Corresponds to Level 4 civilization.

Old One / Main God: Corresponds to Level 5 civilization.

There are more realms later, but it is inconvenient to reveal them.

As for the correspondences on the xianxia side, I will talk about them when I write up to that point.
