Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

127: Chapter 127 The Lord of LightGiven Lin Sheng’s growth speed, the growth of these Origin Star people posed no threat to him at all.

In theory, Lin Sheng could have completely allowed these Origin Star people to continue growing.

But the problem was that if Lin Sheng did that, he wouldn’t feel right in his heart.

To give himself some peace of mind, Lin Sheng directly crossed dozens of light-years to wipe out these remnants of the Origin Star people.

With Lin Sheng’s current abilities, the Origin Star people didn’t even have the capacity to resist.

In just a single encounter, the entire Origin Star Civilization lost its ability to fight back, leaving them with no choice but to let Lin Sheng devour them.

...

”Why did it give so few evolution points?”

After devouring everything on Origin Star II, Lin Sheng smacked his lips, still wanting more.

He had given the Origin Star people over a hundred years to develop, yet in the end, they only brought him over 4,000 trillion evolution points.

This made Lin Sheng feel that raising a civilization was not as cost-effective as directly hunting existing ones.

Lin Sheng’s current body length was around 710,000 meters. While this size couldn’t compare to the planets in the universe, it was more than enough for Lin Sheng to devour the creations of low-level civilizations.

He planned to start with some low-level civilizations first; once his size was sufficient, he would no longer have to worry about evolution points.

Because once Lin Sheng’s size reached a certain point, he could directly devour planets.

The evolution points contained within a single planet were incomparable to a warship from a low-level civilization.

...

Upon reaching a bright star sector, Lin Sheng stopped his warp.

The brightness of this star sector far exceeded any he had encountered before; not only that, but the abundance of energy here also far surpassed other places.

Because of this, Lin Sheng decided to stop and see if there were any good items here.

With energy so abundant, there were bound to be items rich in energy.

”Outsider, this is the territory of the ’Light Lord.’ Welcome.”

Just as Lin Sheng was considering whether to enter this star sector directly, he suddenly received a light-wave signal.

After understanding the meaning conveyed by the light-wave, Lin Sheng turned toward the direction it came from.

Before him, two clusters of pale gold visible light appeared, moving from near to far.

That’s right, from near to far.

Since the speed of these two clusters of visible light had already exceeded the normal speed of light, while the light they emitted was still locked at the speed of light, Lin Sheng saw them as appearing from near to far.

Looking at these two golden lights, Lin Sheng did not act rashly.

Faced with two individuals whose depths he couldn’t gauge and who seemed to harbor goodwill, Lin Sheng did not strike immediately.

During his recent warps, as long as he encountered a civilization stronger than himself that showed goodwill, Lin Sheng would not attack them.

The problem was that he hadn’t encountered many civilizations lately. The few powerful ones he did meet attacked him on sight, forcing Lin Sheng to drop a black hole on them while fleeing.

However, civilizations at Level 3 or above—and even most Level 3 civilizations—could effectively respond to Lin Sheng’s black hole strikes.

This was the first time Lin Sheng had encountered such a friendly civilization, and by the looks of it, it was a High-Level Civilization.

Lin Sheng used the ”Mechanical Scourge” to equip himself with a device capable of transmitting light-wave signals.

He similarly used a light-wave signal to respond to the two clusters of light.

”Greetings, I am a ’Civilization Shepherd.’ You may call me ’Shi.’”

”Civilization Shepherd” was a code name he had given himself, one that suited his identity well.

As for the name ”Shi,” it was the name he intended to use when communicating with other creatures or civilizations in the future.

This was because when Lin Sheng’s own name was translated into the languages of other civilizations, the meaning would become a total mess.

But the character ”Shi” wouldn’t have that problem.

”’Civilization Shepherd’? ’Shi’?”

After hearing Lin Sheng’s name, the two light clusters simply exchanged information, seemingly having little reaction to his name or title.

”Shi, welcome to the Light Lord’s Territory. Would you like us to take you on a tour?”

Seeing the two light clusters continue to extend an invitation, Lin Sheng felt very surprised.

From this brief contact, these two individuals of the Light Lord Civilization gave Lin Sheng an indescribable feeling.

”Alright.”

Although he found the two light clusters strange, ”Omniscience” did not warn him of any danger. Thus, Lin Sheng followed them toward the so-called ”Light Lord’s Territory” with peace of mind.

On the way, Lin Sheng learned a bit about the territory from the two light clusters.

The more he learned, the more Lin Sheng felt that this civilization was extraordinary.

The leader of the light cluster civilization was called the ”Light Lord,” and their civilization was the ”Light Lord Civilization.”

The territory of the Light Lord Civilization, or rather its location, was in a supercluster that Lin Sheng couldn’t name.

Lin Sheng called this supercluster the ”Light Lord Supercluster.”

His current location was within the Light Lord Supercluster.

However, the place the two light clusters were taking Lin Sheng to was the center of the Light Lord Supercluster, the headquarters of the Light Lord Civilization.

Along the way, Lin Sheng also asked the two light clusters about the level of the Light Lord Civilization.

But regarding the question of civilization levels, there didn’t seem to be a clear classification in this universe.

The two light orbs simply told Lin Sheng about some of the civilization’s deeds and the abilities they possessed.

For example, the Light Lord Civilization had previously mined resources from parallel and sub-universes derived from the Great Universe. However, once they conducted in-depth research into the underlying logic of the Great Universe, they stopped exploiting those resources.

This was because, after that, the Light Lord Civilization had researched a ”conceptual nature” endless energy for their civilization.

Since obtaining endless energy, the Light Lord Civilization spent most of its time in the Light Lord Galaxy researching ”Truth.”

Hearing this, Lin Sheng gained a certain understanding of the Light Lord Civilization’s level.

This was a civilization on a similar level to the ”Creator” and the ”Source of Information”—one that already controlled concepts and had embarked on the pursuit of ”Truth.”

However, this civilization had a major difference from those two.

Although he had come into contact with the other two civilizations earlier, Lin Sheng wasn’t clear on their values.

The Light Lord Civilization was different.

Through communication, Lin Sheng had come to understand their values.

The individuals of the Light Lord Civilization were light-form life; they were born already standing at the peak of individual life in the universe.

This meant the Light Lord Civilization was extremely powerful from the moment it was born. They only needed to continuously develop themselves without worrying about external threats.

In the early stages of development, the Light Lord Civilization would acquire resources by exploring the outside world.

But during this process, they would not disrupt the normal development of other civilizations.

Once the Light Lord Civilization obtained infinite energy, they immediately stopped acquiring external resources.

Not only that, but the Light Lord Civilization also generously opened its infinite energy to other civilizations.

Furthermore, the powerful Light Lord Civilization had always been committed to the great unity of cosmic civilizations, advocating for all civilizations to live in peace and avoid conflict.

If energy was needed, the Light Lord Civilization could provide it.

Lin Sheng scoffed at the values of the Light Lord Civilization.

Even if the universe’s energy was infinite and civilizations had no ultimate conflicts,

The question remained: what were low-level civilizations in the eyes of High-Level Civilizations?

Did they even count as civilizations?

A single experiment by a High-Level Civilization could affect an entire galaxy, and the number of civilizations wiped out by such an experiment was countless.

In the eyes of that High-Level Civilization, the destruction of these civilizations might be no different from the death of a few insects.

And if those High-Level Civilizations wanted to develop, certain experiments were inevitable. The Light Lord couldn’t stop them from developing, could he?

As long as there were experiments, there was a high probability that ”insects” would die because of them.

All of this was unavoidable.

Lin Sheng could only say that the values of the Light Lord Civilization and the kind of ”Great Unity Universe” they wanted to build were a joke.

However, even if he scoffed at their values, Lin Sheng still admired this civilization from the bottom of his heart.

They were a bunch of true saints.
