Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

108: Chapter 108 Encounter BattleAfter the deployment of the ”Fusion Strike” was completed, the Origin Star People were already capable of effectively striking most areas of the Northern Hemisphere.

Having finished this major project, several high-level leaders of the Origin Star People gathered once again.

This time, their meeting location was the captain’s quarters of a transport ship in the rear.

”According to Old General Yu She’s final wishes, that ’Dimensional Monster’ in the Southern Hemisphere must be dealt with first.”

”Whether it’s that monster’s growth potential or those terrifying abilities, they are beyond the imagination of ordinary people.”

”If we allow it to continue growing, the consequences will be unthinkable.”

The Chief’s words drew unanimous agreement from everyone present.

Ting was even more eager, scrambling to head to the front lines.

”Chief, I am willing to lead a portion of the Expeditionary Force to exterminate that monster.”

”No, to exterminate that Sinner.”

Looking at the eager Ting, the Chief didn’t actually want him to go.

Because from the final information left by Yu She, that monster’s abilities were terrifying to the extreme; even if Ting took incredibly powerful firepower, one mistake could lead to his death.

If their civilization lost a captain just after arriving at this planet, it would undoubtedly be a major blow to morale.

”Chief, I’ll go with Ting. I’m very interested in that Sinner.”

Yi Di also chimed in at this moment.

As a researcher, an unconventional creature like Lin Sheng was undoubtedly a huge temptation for someone like him.

”Chief, I’m going too!”

At this time, the captain of the Third Fleet also joined in the excitement.

Looking at the three people in front of him who were volunteering for battle, the Chief sighed helplessly.

”Sigh, take more frigates with you, and stay safe.”

”Understood!”

...

Recently, Lin Sheng had been feeling somewhat uneasy, as if some major event was about to happen.

During these past few days while devouring the black stones, he had been completely unable to enter that previous state of ”selflessness.”

It was only today that Lin Sheng’s feeling of unease finally vanished.

However, in the very next moment.

[The Origin Star People are attacking; their base camp is in the Northern Hemisphere.]

Lin Sheng was located at the pole of the Southern Hemisphere and couldn’t see what was happening in the Northern Hemisphere at all.

But Omniscience had already issued an alarm at this time.

”I didn’t expect it to be so fast.”

Lin Sheng tossed the crushed black stones in his claws into his mouth, then stood up and stretched his body.

He glanced at his Data Panel, planning his next move.

Body Length: 32,502 meters

evolution points: 8.7 trillion

”System, how many evolution points are required to evolve ’Regeneration Cells’ to the Balance Grade?”

In the previous days, because Lin Sheng couldn’t settle his mind to dig for black stones, he had spent his spare time doing many gacha draws.

But whether it was because evolution points were no longer valuable or for some other reason, Lin Sheng hadn’t pulled anything good in those several hundred draws.

Therefore, he rarely used the gacha now.

Lin Sheng planned to use these evolution points to upgrade his talents or for Evolution.

[Ding]

[Requires 704.4 billion evolution points.]

”That’s quite a lot.”

Hearing this number, Lin Sheng was slightly surprised.

He remembered that when Stellar Energy evolved from Natural Grade to Balance Grade, the data given by the system was over 600 billion evolution points.

Yet the talent ”Regeneration Cells” actually required more evolution points than ”Stellar Energy.”

However, Lin Sheng still had plenty of evolution points, and the battle with the Origin Star People would require this kind of recovery talent.

Actually, using evolution points on Evolution could also help Lin Sheng in his upcoming battle with the Origin Star People, but the problem was that once Lin Sheng started an Evolution, the time required was too long.

After the previous ”Four-Dimensional Slice” incident, the principle that ”delays lead to complications” had been deeply engraved in Lin Sheng’s heart.

Evolving a talent could also increase his strength, and the time consumed was much less than an Ordinary Evolution; this was undoubtedly the optimal solution at the moment.

”System, evolve talent: Regeneration Cells.”

[Ding]

[This Evolution will take 110 days. Please wait patiently, Host.]

After the system’s voice faded, Lin Sheng voluntarily entered a deep sleep.

...

Lin Sheng, who had fallen into a deep sleep, did not know what was happening in the outside world.

Thirty days into his Evolution, the Origin Star People’s fleet had already arrived above his head.

Due to the Chief’s cautious style, the Origin Star People had deployed a vast number of warships this time.

Innumerable warships directly blocked the sunlight above Lin Sheng, creating an ”artificial night” for him.

”Reporting to the Commander, this Dimensional Creature is currently in a deep sleep, so it is not presently in the third dimension.”

Because the Third Fleet’s captain, A Zi, was the one with the most outstanding command abilities among the three captains, the Chief had appointed A Zi as the Commander-in-Chief for this operation.

Upon hearing the report from his subordinate, A Zi immediately ordered:

”Lock down this area of Earth. antimatter weapons on standby. Ensure they fire the moment it awakens.”

After watching the battle between Yu She and Lin Sheng, the Origin Star People all knew that Lin Sheng, this Dimensional Creature, was not invincible.

When it was awake and present in the three-dimensional Great Universe, attacks against it would be effective.

”Understood!”

...

Evolution complete. Lin Sheng woke up.

”Sys—”

Lin Sheng was just about to have the system open the Data Panel so he could check his newly evolved talent.

But before he could finish his sentence, an intense sense of crisis instantly surged into his heart.

At the same time, ”Omniscience” also issued a warning to him.

[Danger]

[antimatter weapons are striking me.]

[Fly forward at full speed.]

Lin Sheng did not hesitate and immediately began to evade damage according to the method in his subconscious.

Boom!

The sound of an explosion rang out above Lin Sheng’s head, and black Tentacles began to grow wildly, shielding him from the damage caused by the blast.

A large chunk of Lin Sheng’s head was instantly blown away.

However, after fully merging with the ”chaotic information,” this was no longer an entirely fatal injury for Lin Sheng.

Lin Sheng felt that the place where his head was injured was somewhat numb; he didn’t dare to slow down and kept flying forward at full speed.

”Continue the attack!”

The power of the Antimatter Bombs was immense, blasting craters into Lin Sheng’s body one after another.

While flying, Lin Sheng thought about how to counterattack.

But when he saw the innumerable warships behind him, he immediately dismissed the idea of counterattacking.

With so many warships, even if each one fired a single 10-gram equivalent Antimatter Bomb, Lin Sheng felt he wouldn’t be able to withstand it.
