Just Engaged, the Abandoned Comeback System Arrived

Chapter 129: Chapter 129: 3 Demon Martials

The Martial Dao was arduous. Out of ten apprentices, barely one could break through to the Ninth Grade. Out of ten Ninth Grade Martial Artists, barely one could break through to the Eighth Grade. And out of ten Eighth Grade Martial Artists, barely one could break through to the Seventh Grade.

Because ordinary people with ordinary potential found it difficult to break through via orthodox cultivation, some resorted to wicked paths and demonic methods. Evil Qi was a special power formed when Primordial Qi combined with certain energies or substances under specific environments. It was exceptionally dense, even visible to the naked eye. Some Martial Artists would collect it, condense it into a Pill, and swallow it. By refining it and fusing it with their True Gang, they could elevate their Cultivation and constantly increase their combat prowess. Although the hidden risks and dangers were immense, those who used this method couldn’t care less.

The two heretical Martial Artists who had just appeared were wreathed in Blood Evil, which was cultivated using human flesh and blood. It was an extremely malicious practice.

”Attack!” Chen Qiang shouted sternly.

”Go!” Lu Yuan ordered. Jianng Hongfei, Yu Qiuyang, and Liu Zhi swiftly charged down the mountain.

Lu Yuan stood at the peak, drawing his bow and nocking an arrow. He aimed at one of the two heretical Martial Artists. SWISH! The Metal Arrow shot forth, crossing a distance of two to three hundred meters in an instant to reach the target. BANG! The moment the Metal Arrow made contact with the Evil Qi, it shattered directly into pieces.

The heretical Martial Artist merely paused for a split second before continuing his assault on Chen Qiang, completely unaffected. Chen Qiang, fighting one against two, appeared heavily strained. The defensive power of Blood Evil was not only stronger than normal Primordial Gang, but it could also corrupt it.

[Thunderous Breaker, saber slaying demons and heretics. Demon Martials have appeared in this world. As an embodiment of justice, you must naturally uphold the righteous path and strike like thunder.]

[Mission Issued: Slay three Demon Martials. Reward for completion: 10,000 Experience Points.]

”Three Demon Martials!” Lu Yuan’s pupils constricted. Only two had appeared so far, and Chen Qiang was already struggling against them. If there was a third...

SWISH! Lu Yuan immediately dashed out, rapidly drawing his bow and nocking arrows as he ran.

SWISH! An arrow shot out. THWACK! An Eighth Grade Martial Artist was instantly pierced through.

SWISH! SWISH! THWACK! THWACK! Two more Eighth Grade Martial Artists were shot dead.

”...” Jianng Hongfei, Liu Zhi, and the others couldn’t help but freeze in shock. Why did he suddenly intervene? Didn’t they agree that he wouldn’t do... that?

SWISH! THWACK! Yet Lu Yuan continued his deadly barrage. That was the fourth! There were a total of six Eighth Grade Martial Artists, and he had to eliminate all of them as quickly as possible. Otherwise, once the third Demon Martial revealed himself, these Eighth Grade fighters could become a fatal threat.

SWISH! THWACK! The fifth!

Jianng Hongfei, Liu Zhi, and Yu Qiuyang were completely dumbfounded. How were they supposed to fight now? Were they only fit to slaughter Ninth Grade lackeys?

By this time, Lu Yuan had already rushed into the valley. He casually jammed his bow into the ground and quickly unbuckled his quiver. Unfastening his two sabers, he tossed them onto the dirt. Throughout this entire process, his footsteps never once stopped. CLANG! He unsheathed his Wind Thunder Saber, trailing sparks and lightning all the way. CRACKLE! SNAP!

Jianng Hongfei, Liu Zhi, and Yu Qiuyang stared in absolute shock. What exactly was he planning to do? Was he going to interfere in a Seventh Grade battle? The commotion drew the attention of the other Martial Artists in the valley as well.

”Kill!” Lu Yuan launched himself forward, lightly swinging his blade to slay the final Eighth Grade Martial Artist. Then, without a moment’s hesitation, he charged straight toward the Seventh Grade battlefield!

Everyone thought, ”He actually went for it!”

”Kill!” Lu Yuan leaped into the air and brought his saber down in a fierce chop. ”Thunderstorm!” CRACK! A massive cluster of electrical sparks appeared, compressed, and then... BOOM! It detonated.

Surging lightning instantly enveloped an area of several meters, directly swallowing one of the Demon Martials. CRACKLE! The power of lightning and the Blood Evil clashed violently. Since the former naturally countered the latter, the Blood Evil rapidly thinned out.

Letting out a garbled curse, the Demon Martial retreated at top speed to widen the distance between him and Lu Yuan. ”Is that... the Wind Thunder Saber?”

”That’s right.” Lu Yuan panted slightly.

”Why did you come down?” Chen Qiang asked as he forced the other Demon Martial back. He had not yet shown any signs of defeat.

”I couldn’t just wait for you to get injured or killed before coming over, could I?” Lu Yuan grinned. If Chen Qiang got injured, he would be left fighting one against two, or even one against three. However, he couldn’t mention the third Demon Martial. Since the person hadn’t even appeared, he couldn’t possibly explain how he possessed such foresight.

”Watch out!”

”Worry about yourself!” Chen Qiang leveled his Profound Weapon Long Saber, his aura surging dramatically. With Lu Yuan sharing the burden, his pressure was significantly reduced. However, he had to finish the battle quickly, knowing that Lu Yuan might not last long.

”Yama’s Three Nods...”

”Thunderstorm!” Lu Yuan slashed down once more, continuing to unleash the first move of the Thunder Blade Triple Annihilation. It was simple yet highly effective!

BANG! The opposing Demon Martial stomped violently on the ground, kicking up a large wave of earth and rocks to intercept Lu Yuan while swiftly dodging aside to pick up a usable weapon. ”With just the Wind Thunder Saber, you’re still no match for me.”

”Thunderstorm. Have you never heard of it?” Lu Yuan asked as he smashed through the flying debris. He had to kill one of them immediately, otherwise...

”Thunderstorm? Mere empty threats.” The Demon Martial shook his head. He clearly hadn’t heard of the formidable reputation behind the Thunder Blade Triple Annihilation’s Thunderstorm.

”Heh, it doesn’t matter to a dead man anyway.” Lu Yuan casually swung his Wind Thunder Saber, summoning and condensing countless electrical sparks.

”Thunder Flash!” The sparks enveloped half his body, primarily focusing beneath his feet before violently erupting. CRACK! Lu Yuan vanished in a flash. When he reappeared, he was already behind the Demon Martial.

”You...” The Demon Martial opened his mouth and looked down at his chest in disbelief. There was a massive, charred hole in it. He had just been blasted right through.

”So... so fast...”

”This move is called Thunder Flash,” Lu Yuan introduced, allowing the man to die with a clear understanding.

”Youx the Second!”

”Second Brother!”

Two frantic shouts rang out. The third Demon Martial finally revealed himself, arriving just in time to block a fatal slash aimed at his comrade on the other side. However, they never expected that their Second Brother—whose fight should have been absolutely foolproof—would be slain by a mere Eighth Grade Martial Artist. They didn’t even have the chance to save him.

”Youx the Third!” Youx the First roared in absolute fury. ”Go and kill him!”

”I’ll kill you!” Youx the Third charged toward Lu Yuan without hesitation. He gripped a Blood Saber in his hand—a Demon Blade that Youx the First had just pulled out.

”I think you’ll be the one dying instead.” Lu Yuan sneered, dodging nimbly with a slight shift of his body. Executing Thunder Flash had overloaded his system and damaged his internal organs, making it impossible to perform a second time in a row. Fortunately, his Undying Martial Body was already rapidly repairing the damage.

SWISH! The Blood Saber missed its target.

”You’re suffering from a backlash! You’re injured!” Youx the Third’s eyes lit up. This was normal, and exactly what he wanted to see. He had nothing to worry about now.

”Die!” Emboldened, Youx the Third hacked furiously at Lu Yuan. On the other side, Youx the First and Chen Qiang were evenly matched. Youx the First had fused with the Blood Evil earlier than his two younger brothers; his power was deeper, his innate talent higher, and the Demon Weapon in his hand even more formidable. The critical issue was that Chen Qiang was injured. Due to the insufficient quality of his Profound Weapon, he had suffered a significant backlash from executing the Yama Saber Technique earlier. Coupled with the corruption from the Blood Evil, his current situation was far from ideal.
