Just Engaged, the Abandoned Comeback System Arrived

Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Lin Siheng Flies Into a Rage, Relationship Crisis

Lu Yuan and Lin Siyao rode their horses, following from a distance. There was no need to worry too much about Lin Siheng’s safety. It was rare for him to be so happy, so they let him run wild.

”Brother Yuan, what were you thinking about just now?” Lin Siyao asked, tilting her head slightly.

Her body was weak, simply because the cold energy within her was too intense, making it hard for her physical body to adapt. For over ten years, she had been recuperating, adapting to the Profound Yin Qi. It was beginning to show results, so she also possessed a certain level of power and Martial Power. Drawing a seventy or eighty-pound Light Bow was not a problem. At this moment, dressed in snow-white clothes, she held a bow and two arrows. Riding on horseback, she looked quite valiant and heroic, presenting a uniquely charming sight.

”I encountered a bottleneck while cultivating a certain Martial Arts recently. It requires me to learn Music Law, so I was wondering—could you teach me?” Lu Yuan said.

She wondered, ”Music Law? Since when did Brother Lu start learning Martial Arts related to Music Law?”

Although Lin Siyao was puzzled, she naturally wouldn’t refuse Lu Yuan’s request. ”Of course, I’d be very happy to teach you, Brother Yuan. I’ll teach you when we get back. What instrument do you want to learn?”

Instruments were the medium of Music Law.

”The zither, I suppose. Plucking the strings,” Lu Yuan decided. Starting from the basics, playing the zither was suitable for both men and women.

”Plucking strings? Plucking heartstrings, you mean.” Lin Siyao smiled even more radiantly. Plucking strings and plucking heartstrings—it had a wonderful ring to it.

”Let’s hurry and catch up with that brat. Who knows where he ran off to.”

”Mhm.” Lu Yuan cracked his whip to speed up.

”Over there,” Lin Siyao pointed.

It wasn’t just the hoofprints. The Black Water Profound Snake on her wrist could also track the boy through water vapor, scent, and Spiritual Sense. Lu Yuan had his Eagle Eye and Sharp-Eared abilities, so there was naturally even less need to worry.

However...

”Who told you to shoot my piglets?” Lin Siheng, riding on a pig’s back, glared at a girl on horseback opposite him.

”With so many pigs around, which one is yours? Why can’t I shoot them?” Su Wan replied indignantly. They were wild boars, since when were they raised in captivity? She had been searching for so long without encountering a single prey, and now...

”These are all my piglets, didn’t you see?” Lin Siheng stood up on the pig’s back, sweeping his hand in a wide circle. With one hand planted on his hip, he jabbed a finger at Su Wan. ”See this? This one, this one, that one, that one—every single one the eye can see is mine!”

”Nope, didn’t see a thing!” Su Wan shook her head nonchalantly, drawing another arrow and knocking it on her bow. ”And I’m going to shoot again!”

”Don’t you dare!” Lin Siheng’s eyes bulged with anger, his fists clenched tight.

SWISH!

Su Wan let the arrow fly.

THWACK!

A half-grown piglet weighing seventy or eighty pounds was instantly pierced through.

”Argh! Damn you!” Lin Siheng roared. Turning his head sharply, he spotted Lu Yuan and Lin Siyao riding over. ”Lu Yuan, give me your ten-dan bow! I’m going to shoot her!”

”You? Draw a ten-dan bow? Do you even know how heavy a ten-dan bow is?” Su Wan sneered dismissively.

”Lu Yuan, give it to me!” Lin Siheng hopped off the pig’s back and ran toward Lu Yuan.

”Why would a kid play with a heavy bow?” Lu Yuan refused. The ten-dan bow was too heavy. The little guy truly couldn’t draw it—not even a fraction of an inch. Arm strength and bow-drawing strength were two different things. Lin Siheng was too young; he was still far from being capable.

”The wild boars are running away,” Lu Yuan pointed out.

”Huh?” Lin Siheng turned around and saw that the massive alpha boar had indeed fled with the wild boar family, showing absolutely no intention of seeking revenge on Su Wan. ”Damn it! Stupid pigs! Stupid pigs! I’m going to go catch them again!”

”Aren’t you stinky all over? You...” Lin Siyao called out.

”I’m not stinky!” Lin Siheng shouted as he sprinted away, his arms swinging wildly. Naturally, he didn’t forget to look back and glare fiercely at Su Wan. He made a mental note to settle the score with her later!

”Will he be alright?” Su Wan rode over.

”He’ll be fine, he’s tough as nails,” Lin Siyao smiled. She knew her brother well; he was an absolute little rascal and a petty tyrant. ”He’s just a child who doesn’t know any better. Please don’t mind him.”

”It’s fine, I wouldn’t hold it against him.” Su Wan waved her hand. She wasn’t a child herself.

”We’re going to go after Aman, then,” Lin Siyao informed her, pulling her reins to chase after her brother alongside Lu Yuan. They weren’t particularly interested in hunting anyway. Following Lin Siheng around casually was just a form of sightseeing for them.

”Let’s go together,” Su Wan tagged along. ”Although this place is far from Nine Phoenix Mountain, there’s no guarantee that a Demon Beast or two hasn’t wandered down.”

There were many Demon Beasts in Nine Phoenix Mountain. Their strength was at least on par with an Eighth Grade Martial Artist, while the fiercer ones were comparable to human Seventh-Grade Martial Artists. The even more formidable ones commanded Divine Techniques. In the deepest parts of the mountain, there was no shortage of Fourth-Grade Great Demons.

”Alright, then,” Lin Siyao nodded gently. Since they were acquainted, it wouldn’t be polite to chase her away.

”Lu Yuan, my cousin said your archery is amazing, and Ajiu also praised your archery as being much better than his. I see you’re carrying two bows on your horse too. Why haven’t you used them?” Su Wan maneuvered her horse next to Lu Yuan. She and Lin Siyao were now flanking him on the left and right.

”I don’t like senseless killing,” Lu Yuan shook his head, offering a simple explanation. He killed enough people during his missions; why take lives for no reason?

”Heh, I don’t believe you,” Su Wan shook her head. ”Shoot an arrow and let me see. Over there, look over there! There’s a bird on the treetop three hundred meters away!” she pointed.

Lu Yuan didn’t even glance at it.

”Over there, there’s a huge beetle a hundred meters away!” Su Wan pointed again.

Lu Yuan still didn’t look.

”Lu Yuan, are you purposely not giving me face?” Su Wan was starting to get angry.

[A crisis has occurred in your relationship with Su Wan. Intimacy decreased by 5 points.]

”Respect is never something given by others,” Lu Yuan said indifferently.

”You...” Su Wan fumed, puffing her cheeks.

[A crisis has occurred in your relationship with Su Wan. Intimacy decreased by 5 points.]

”Sister Su, since you know my Brother Yuan’s archery is incredible, you should also know he wouldn’t shoot casually. Archery is not a performance,” Lin Siyao spoke up. A ten-dan bow packed one or two thousand pounds of force into a single arrow. Focused on a single point, it could pierce through over a dozen large trees. Did she think it was something to be fired on a whim? She didn’t like Su Wan pestering her Brother Yuan, so...

”How about I compete with you instead?” Lin Siyao suggested.

”You? Can you even manage?” Su Wan was somewhat doubtful. She knew Lin Siyao had a weak constitution.

”I’m only weak, not crippled. Of course I can.” Smiling, Lin Siyao knocked an arrow on her bowstring, gently drew it to the full, and then...

SWISH!

The arrow flew a hundred meters and landed squarely on the beetle’s head, stopping it right in its tracks. The key was that, due to the bow’s lack of power, the arrow had traveled in an arc.

Su Wan’s eyes widened in astonishment. She realized that Lin Siyao really did have some skills. This Sister Lin was indeed no ordinary person.

”Alright, let’s compete then.”

”We’ll shoot wherever the other points. However, following Brother Yuan’s wishes, we won’t kill pointlessly,” Lin Siyao proposed.

Su Wan couldn’t help but grumble. ”What’s the fun in that? We’re here to hunt.

”How can there be no blood?

”Your Brother Yuan this, your Brother Yuan that. All you know is listening to your Brother Yuan.

”Fine, we’ll do it your way,” she ultimately relented.

”Let’s begin.” Lin Siyao drew another arrow.

”Don’t push yourself,” Lu Yuan warned.

”Don’t worry. Getting some exercise will only do me good,” Lin Siyao smiled. It was rare for her to get to stretch her limbs.

[A crisis has occurred in your relationship with Su Wan. Intimacy decreased by 5 points.]

Lu Yuan was speechless. He wondered why this woman’s emotions were so volatile. In just a short while, her intimacy had dropped by fifteen points.
