Just Engaged, the Abandoned Comeback System Arrived

Chapter 102: Chapter 102: Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash Great Success

The auction had ended, and so the rewards had been credited to his account.

With twenty points added to his Bone Aptitude, Lu Yuan felt a massive transformation. As his Bone Aptitude strengthened, both his physical strength and power surged significantly. His Bone Aptitude had originally been 160, and now it was 180, just 20 points away from the top tier. His back and waist grew sturdier, and even his height increased quite a bit. His Gang Qi also became much purer.

He also received 10,000 Experience Points, which, added to the 513 left over from last time, totaled 10,513 points.

Now, there were only two skills that needed upgrading:

One was the Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash. It was currently at the Minor Success stage (3,000/10,000) and needed 7,000 points to reach Great Success.

The other was the Little Heavenly Gang Meteor Hammer. It was currently at Great Success (4,625/10,000)—having increased a bit through Weapon-Forging—and needed 5,375 points to reach Perfection.

Lu Yuan didn’t hesitate; he chose to upgrade the Thunder Blade Triple Extremities Slash to Great Success to increase his combat prowess.

WHOOSH.

A flood of comprehension surged into his mind as the skill rapidly advanced to Great Success.

ZAP.

Lu Yuan swung the Wind Thunder Saber in his hand.

CRACKLE.

A massive amount of electric sparks burst forth. They danced like chaotic silver dragons, sweeping in all directions with a terrifying presence. The dust in the air was instantly incinerated into ash, leaving a lingering, charred scent.

”Young Master, what kind of Saber Technique are you practicing? It’s so terrifying!” Yaoyao exclaimed in fear from the sidelines. She was terrified of getting electrocuted. All living creatures possessed an instinctual fear of lightning.

”It’s the Demon-Suppressing Saber Technique,” Lu Yuan smiled. ”Don’t worry, it won’t hurt our own people.”

”Oh, okay.” Yaoyao nodded emphatically. Naturally, she believed her young master.

[Bone Aptitude: Medium (180)]

[Talent: Undying Martial Body, Unyielding Will, Intermediate Blade Dao, Two-Handed Communication, Eagle Eye]

[Experience Points: 3,513]

Lu Yuan glanced at his status panel. He didn’t plan to use the remaining Experience Points for now, opting to keep them in reserve. Since putting them anywhere wouldn’t yield a significant improvement or qualitative change, he decided to hold onto them.

”How is your Fist Technique coming along?” he asked.

”Young Master, my Cyan Gang Fist has reached Minor Success,” Yaoyao replied, immediately tilting her face upward with confidence.

”Really? Show it to me.” Intrigued, Lu Yuan sheathed his saber.

”Okay!” Yaoyao quickly began her routine.

She moved as swiftly as a fleeing hare and struck as fast as galloping thunder. Every punch she threw produced a series of crisp CRACKS.

How was this just Minor Success? It was already approaching Great Success! This was roughly equivalent to Lu Yuan’s level before he awakened the system.

Watching her, Lu Yuan felt a twinge of sourness in his heart, along with a sense of overwhelming inadequacy. Compared to her, he was practically a piece of trash.

Was this the innate talent of atavistic demonic blood, or was it just Yaoyao’s own talent? In the future, not even Fifth or Sixth Grade martial artists would be able to stop her. He had truly picked up a treasure. In truth, the fivefold reward from the system back then also explained a lot.

”Good, keep up the hard work! In the future, this family will rely on you for protection!”

”Mhm.” Yaoyao clenched her fists, then lowered her head a little bashfully. ”The family will still have to rely on you, Young Master. You are the strongest.”

”Hahaha, don’t compare yourself to me. We are different,” Lu Yuan laughed heartily.

”Mhm,” Yaoyao nodded earnestly.

”Brother Yuan...” Lin Siyao popped her head over the wall. She had been startled by the roar of thunder and the dazzling flashes of lightning just now.

”Lu Yuan~”

At that moment, a carriage stopped at the entrance, and a beautiful woman stepped out. Several guards were carrying quite a few gifts.

Lin Siyao’s eyebrows immediately shot up slightly. ”Who is this? Which lady is this?”

”A business partner,” Lu Yuan explained.

”Hurry up and receive your guest then. I’ll look for you later,” Lin Siyao chuckled.

”Alright.” Lu Yuan went out the door to greet the arrival. ”What brings you here?”

”The auction has ended. I originally wanted to go to the Yan Residence to report the good news to you, but you weren’t there,” Liu Lianyue replied with a smile. ”So I could only come looking for you here. I hope I’m not intruding?”

”You’re not, it’s just that I haven’t told my family yet,” Lu Yuan shook his head.

”Oh, then I’ll just drop these things off, say a few words to you, and leave quickly.” Liu Lianyue immediately understood.

”Why did you bring so many things?” Lu Yuan glanced at the several crates of gifts she had brought, which took up almost half the carriage.

”It’s not that much, just a small token of my appreciation,” Liu Lianyue waved her hand dismissively.

”Just tell me how much the Desolate Moon sold for at the auction,” Lu Yuan said frankly.

”The Desolate Moon...” Liu Lianyue could no longer hide the smile on her face. She held up three fingers, then flashed five more. ”Thirty-five thousand taels!”

”Thirty-five thousand taels!” Lu Yuan was shocked.

That price was incredibly high, basically reaching the limit for a Profound Weapon. However, factoring in the costs, it wasn’t a small amount either—close to ten thousand taels. The materials alone cost over four thousand taels.

”It was bought by a Sixth-Grade expert,” Liu Lianyue explained briefly, taking out a stack of silver notes. ”Here is ten thousand taels as your share of the profits.”

”No! There’s no need! We agreed that I only wanted the labor fee. How much it sold for is entirely due to your own capabilities!” Lu Yuan immediately shook his head in refusal.

Ten thousand taels was indeed tempting, but he couldn’t go back on his word.

”We made a lot this time. I’d feel bad if you didn’t accept it,” Liu Lianyue didn’t retract her hand. She thought for a moment and added, ”How about next time, after deducting the material costs, we split the profits fifty-fifty? Forty-sixty or thirty-seventy would work too.”

”We’ll talk about next time when it comes,” Lu Yuan waved his hand. Now that the quest was complete, whether he forged more weapons would depend entirely on his mood and needs.

”Oh, then I’ll be taking my leave now.” Catching his hint, Liu Lianyue had her men set the gifts down and quickly departed. By now, the commotion had already attracted quite a few onlookers.

Only after Liu Lianyue left did Wei Huiling emerge from the kitchen.

”Who was that? And why did they bring so many gifts?”

”A friend,” Lu Yuan explained simply as he began moving the items inside. Yaoyao and Wei Huiling pitched in to help.

Upon opening the crates indoors, they found that aside from regular gifts, there were also quite a few Pills. Among them were two True Essence Pills. The total value had to be no less than five thousand taels.

”Goodness, what kind of friend is this? Why did she give you so many gifts? Are you two...” Wei Huiling was dumbfounded. Who gave gifts like this? It almost felt like a bribe.

”We’re doing business together. It’s a dividend payout,” Lu Yuan had to change his explanation.

”Business? What business? You didn’t give away the secret recipe for distilling liquor, did you?” Wei Huiling’s mind reacted quite sharply.

”It’s Weapon-Forging,” Lu Yuan told the truth.

”Weapon-Forging? You’re already forging weapons now? Didn’t you just start learning? What kind of weapon business yields such huge dividends?” Wei Huiling was stunned.

She had heard Lu Yuan mention that he was learning Weapon-Forging. But to be able to forge weapons and sell them for money right after starting? Wasn’t that a bit too exaggerated?

”Profound Weapons, of course. I told you before, your son is a genius,” Lu Yuan smiled.

”Profound Weapons...” Wei Huiling’s gaze flickered as she stared straight at Lu Yuan. ”You’re not joking with me? Even if you’re a genius, but... but...”

Even a genius needed to learn the basics like material selection, forging, and inscription. Then came gradual practice. Anyone who could forge a Profound Weapon was a Craftsman, and the status of a Craftsman surpassed that of an ordinary Seventh-Grade Martial Artist.

”None of that matters. What matters is that, from now on, you really won’t have to worry about Pill resources anymore. Just focus on your cultivation every day,” Lu Yuan patted his mother’s shoulder.

He couldn’t really call her an old woman anymore. Thanks to the Lifespan Extension Pill, she currently looked like an eighteen-year-old girl. She could easily pass for Lu Yuan’s older sister.

”Shoo! What do you take me for?” Wei Huiling swatted Lu Yuan’s hand away and rolled her eyes.

”Young Master is amazing!” Yaoyao only had praise, her face brimming with admiration.

”Here, this bottle of Qi Nourishing Pills is a reward for you,” Lu Yuan picked up a bottle and handed it to Yaoyao.

”Thank you, Young Master!” Yaoyao accepted it happily and went off to practice her martial arts.

”Let’s eat. We won’t wait for your father,” Wei Huiling decided, waving her hand as she closed the box of Pills.
