Chapter 1522: Positions

Anna closed her eyes and activated the compass. The needle was circling around the compass as if it had broken, but gradually, the movement slowed down.

After two minutes, the needle finally stopped in a certain direction.

”We have found our target. How are we going to do this?” Anna asked.

Noel rubbed his chin, carefully considering the battle plan.

”First of all, we canʼt attack them head-on because they might realize what weʼre up to.”

”Understandable. However, we are moving simultaneously this time.”

”Yes. There will be four armies marching into the demon territory.” Noel paused for a moment before saying, ”In that case, I will be the one going to them. The rest will create a distraction.”

”!!!” Annaʼs body shook. ”This is too reckless.”

”It canʼt be helped. If we can do it now, we wonʼt have to worry about the enemies anymore.” Noel shook his head. ”Besides, my power is much stronger than theirs right now. We can force them to retreat. However, there is one problem.”

Anna, of course, knew this one problem. ”Josephine.”

”Yes. Your former teacher is a space ability user. If she teleports to that body and brings it away, we will have a hard time catching up to her.”

This was the biggest reason they couldnʼt handle the enemy the whole time. If possible, he truly wanted to kill her to make the battlefield simpler.

Unfortunately, the enemy must have realized it as well, which meant they would protect her or use her in a way that she wouldnʼt be in danger.

If only they could get very close to her and overwhelm her with their speed, it would be fantastic.

”Either way, we have no other choice but to use this plan. Besides, if Ardagan has a heart now, he will be stronger, which means I will be stronger. There will be less burden on my body.”

Anna wanted to volunteer, but she could only fight against the supreme devil or the third prince, not both of them at the same time.

So, it wouldnʼt be a wise idea.

”Then, I have a suggestion.” Anna thought of another opportunity. ”Since we are going to make a distraction, why not make it even bigger?”

”Bigger? What do you mean?”

”The beast kingdom.”

”!!!” Noel certainly didnʼt expect that suggestion. ”Are you planning to involve them?”

”Melissa hasnʼt returned. So, there might be something going on in the beast kingdom. If we can learn about it and somehow involve them in this attack, the distraction will become much bigger. In one way or another, we might be able to kill a spirit transcendence from the enemyʼs side.”

Noel looked down, pondering. Annaʼs suggestion was reasonable. The beast kingdom had agreed to work with them.

It wouldnʼt look as if the human kingdoms took advantage of them. After all, Conrad personally brought the elite royal army to the battlefield. Noel also sent out three armies on his own.

It should work out just fine. The only person they needed to worry about was Josephine.

She could create a portal behind them and focus their attacks on the city.

To avoid this scenario, Noel planned to ask his mother to watch the area around. Of course, he might have to make another agreement with the saintess.

If they could get the beast kingdom involved, they might be able to offer some information or people.

And there were only two people they could trust. They were Noel and Anna. Because Noel had to focus on their target, Anna was the only one who could head there.

This would change the positioning of their army.

Noel took out a comb, a hair tie, a pillow, and a piece of paper and lined them up.

Noel pointed his finger from the piece of paper to the comb in succession. ”On the very right side, it will be your army. You will follow us before going in separate directions along the way. You will head to the beast kingdom once the time is right.

”Next to you will be Incetta. Incetta will be crossing the river, so it will serve as a border in our expedition.

”I will take the middle spot as a leader. I will head straight to the enemyʼs base. Since Iʼm in the middle, I can shift my direction a bit to the left or right to confuse the enemy. After all, we canʼt afford to let them know weʼre onto them thanks to the compass.

”Weʼll then launch an ambush and strike them hard. Since Rui is with me, I will ask her to recover the body for me while I distract their fighters. Hopefully, she will be faster than Josephine.

”Last but not least, the royal army. They will become the left wall for us. Their position is quite dangerous, so Iʼm thinking about supporting them in one way or another to avoid further strain in our relationship.”

Anna nodded in understanding. ”In that case, why donʼt we ask Felicia to bring her rune mage unit? This will be enough for the support, right? Although I donʼt know much about Conrad, even in the previous life, Conrad was known for his ability. I believe he will command the army carefully.”

”That will be good enough. It will be hard to travel in this land, so Iʼm thinking about lending them some smaller airships for supplies and travel.

”Felicia will act as a supervisor there. Well, it will be better if we can encounter Dimitri and Milfa along the way, and hopefully they have become a spirit transcendence as well. But I donʼt plan to add them into consideration for the plan.”

Anna could see a plan forming in her head. ”In that case, wonʼt the most brutal fight be on me?”

”Yes. On the left side, itʼs going to be a tough fight, but further south is the kingdomʼs territory, so the number of demons wonʼt be as high as on your side. You are on the right, or in the map, you are at the north. And there is nothing… no kingdom, no reinforcement, no whatever. This will be a good opportunity to train Grandel as well.”

”So, thatʼs what you want. I will adjust my arrangements accordingly then.”

”You can do whatever you want. Just make sure that our army doesnʼt know anything about the beast kingdom. It will be a headache.”

”I got it.”
