Chapter 1509: Comparison

Wendy’s body was trembling. The power Noel had just shown might be just a fragment of his power.

Yet, even with that fragment of power, Evan and Conrad failed to block a single attack. In fact, both of them had utilized their True Spirit Body and unleashed their strongest attacks.

However, their attacks were overpowered by Noel’s power. The fire even burned the sky, making it look like hell had just fallen to the world.

To everyone’s surprise, what came next after that hell was falling ice crystals. All these small ice crystals gradually fell to the ground like snow.

”This is...” Wendy extended her hand, letting the ice drop onto her hand. ”... a spirit king. A power that can topple anything everyone has.”

Not just her, but all the spies who witnessed Noel’s power couldn’t help but panic. They understood what it meant to make Noel their enemy.

Originally, they thought that even if the world united, Noel could still be contained. But with Noel’s brain, he definitely knew where to strike and who to strike for him not to lose.

Combined with this power, Noel could be said to be unmatched. This also meant another thing. The spirit king once repelled the demon invasion led by a demon king. In other words, the demon king had the same amount of power. If Noel were not here, they would definitely lose the battle against the demon king.

Noel smiled. Since both of them looked fine, Noel sheathed his sword and asked, ”Do you want to test it again?”

”Don’t joke around with my life.” Duke Lorelei snorted. ”I’m going to die if you attack me again.”

To prove that he didn’t want to continue, he retracted his True Spirit Body. He could feel the damage in his body, but fortunately, one day of recuperation should be enough.

”...” Conrad remained silent, but he understood Noel’s power. The gap between them was too great.

Evan, on the other hand, came to Noel and asked, ”Still, this power... It’s so strong. How strong is a spirit king exactly? How much power did you use earlier?”

”Let’s see...” Noel looked up, contemplating. ”I used about 50% of my current power, of course not accounting for the Spirit Transformation and the True Spirit Body.”

”If you use 100% of your power...” Duke Lorelei gasped. The answer was obvious. They couldn’t even escape.

”Well, to repel the demon king and the supreme devil, I had to use my True Spirit Body, so it’s understandable.” Noel crossed his arms. ”Let’s see... If you are asking how strong a spirit king is, I’m lucky that I can combine two elements, but if you compare it with a normal spirit king.

”If a spirit transcendence expert can destroy a terrain, a spirit king would be able to change the geography. I guess that’s the comparison.”

”!!!” Duke Lorelei widened his eyes. ”Destroying a terrain is indeed possible with my strength. If I strike it multiple times, a lot of things can be destroyed. However, a spirit king can change the terrain.

”In other words, you can change a mountain into a river and so on... I see, this is the power of the spirit king...” Duke Lorelei took a step back.

”Yes. Unfortunately, there’s nothing I can share regarding the spirit king, not because I don’t have any information, but because the moment I say it, you might not be able to become a spirit king.” Noel smiled.

”Hahaha. That’s a shame. Then again, I’m already too old. Even though my life is extended by becoming a spirit transcendence, it’s still nowhere near enough to reach that stage.” Duke Lorelei laughed wholeheartedly.𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

”I might not be able to give you the secret, but I can give you a bit of comparison. Spirit transcendence means you have the ability to control the spiritual energy in nature, right?”

”Indeed.”

”Spirit king means you have the ability to have authority over the spiritual energy.”

”Hmm...” Duke Lorelei looked down, contemplating. It was similar, but very different. ”Do you mean like a merchant and a king? A merchant is able to control the people with their money, but a king can kill or even change the will of the people.”

”Something like that.” Noel nodded.

”I see. That’s intriguing, not that I can reach that point. My talent is simply too low for such a thing.” Evan patted Noel’s shoulder. ”Still, you will have a lot of burdens on your shoulders because of this.”

”I know.” Noel smiled. ”However, you, too, have your own roles. The enemy this time is much more dangerous than even the one from a thousand years ago.”

”What do you mean?”

”Look at the supreme devil and the demon king, they are both currently demonic humans, right?”

”Yes. What’s wrong with it?”

”They are former humans. In other words, they are able to cultivate...”

”...the transcendent path?” Evan gasped. Even Conrad, who had been silent the whole time, couldn’t help but open his mouth. ”Do you mean the reason the demons are infiltrating the humans is that they are seeking the transcendent path and plan to combine it with the equivalent of the transcendent path?”

”Yes. Humans have the transcendent path and the king path, but demons have their berserk. I’m assuming that the demons are becoming human to understand the true nature of the transcendent path and king path and combine them with their berserk.

”This way, they will become even stronger than they were one thousand years ago.” Noel revealed his suspicions.

His burden was definitely bigger than his ancestors’ because his opponents were much stronger than a normal demon king.

Of course, he was also different from his ancestors. He was able to fuse the two elements with the help of Milinda.

But this just meant they were equal.

The enemy had been trying to slow him down so that they could learn the transcendent path and the king path. However, this time, they should launch a counterattack.

”Marshall Conrad. My army is going to the demon territory and trying to kill as many demons as possible in two weeks. You are free to join.”

Conrad nodded. ”I understand. I will also inform the demon banner army regarding the supreme devil organization. We have to eliminate that tumor so that it can’t harm us when the time comes.”
