Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

Chapter 84: Chapter 76: The Ingenious Use of Mechanical Guards and Spiritual Attacks

The Black Scale Race Silver Warrior was unaware, after Gu Qianqiu threw two buckets, he was overwhelmed by Gu Qianqiu’s might and carried two buckets towards Lake One.

Yi Tian and Gu Qianqiu closely followed the Black Scale Race Warrior.

The wind was calm, the lake surface like a mirror, revealing no abnormalities.

The Black Scale Race Warrior swaggered to the lake’s edge and bent down to place the buckets into the lake.

As he leaned down, his shadow was reflected in the water.

”Plop...”

Accompanied by a faint sound, a black ”snake head” emerged from the lake.

As it poked its head out, its mouth widened exceptionally large.

Simultaneously, a black gas was emitted from the Yu’s mouth, shooting at the Black Scale Race Warrior’s shadow.

This shadow was not the reflection in the water, but the warrior’s shadow on the side.

This shadow was refracted by the sun.

The Black Scale Warrior had no time to react, and the shadow was hit by the black gas.

”Ahh ahh ahh...”

A strange scene occurred; the Black Scale Warrior fell flat on the ground, then rolled around clutching his head, howling like a ghost.

The Yu did not pursue the attack; after emitting the black gas, it dove back into the bottom of the lake.

It quietly departed, just as it had quietly appeared.

”Yu, power unknown, physique unknown, agility unknown, spiritual power 400. Skill: Shadow Erosion. Remaining lifespan: 10 days!”

Yi Tian frowned; the Celestial Dao Stone provided limited but useful information.

It was the first time the Celestial Dao Stone had given such a vague description.

Although the strengthened Yu no longer lived and died within a day, it still had a lifespan of ten days.

Spiritual power, does this mean the Yu’s attack is a spiritual attack?

Can the Seven-Aperture Exquisite be immune to this kind of spiritual attack?

Physical attacks and spiritual power attacks can’t kill Yu.

Could it be that spiritual attacks can kill Yu?

Yi Tian pondered and felt it was necessary to further test.

A Brass Mechanized Guard was awoken, approaching Yi Tian’s location.

As the Black Scale Warrior rolled out ten meters from the lakeside, Gu Qianqiu stepped forward to grab the Black Scale Warrior and brought him to Yi Tian.

”Not dead yet, something’s not right.”

Gu Qianqiu threw the Black Scale Warrior at his feet. At this moment, the warrior appeared no longer in pain, his face purple-blue, eyes vacant, weak!

”Take him away.”

Yi Tian waved his hand. If Yu used a spiritual attack, this is a soul scar, one that won’t heal quickly.

Before long, a Brass Mechanized Guard approached.

”Go to the lakeside and draw a bucket of water.”

Yi Tian handed a wooden bucket to the Brass Mechanized Guard.

The Brass Mechanized Guard couldn’t handle heavy tasks, but could do such small tasks.

”As you command, Lord!”

The Brass Mechanized Guard unconditionally obeyed the command, carrying the bucket to the lakeside.

It was as agile as a human, walking without looking sideways.

”Plop...”

When it bent down to collect water, a Yu poked its head out and a black gas shot towards the Brass Mechanized Guard’s shadow.

The Brass Mechanized Guard was unaffected by this black gas, naturally lifting the bucket of water onto the shore.

However, Yu’s ”sneak attack” made the Brass Mechanized Guard consider it unforgivable.

It recognized Yu as a territory enemy, determined to kill any intruders.

At the moment it brought the water ashore, the Brass Mechanized Guard used its other hand to swing a spear forcefully towards Yu.

Yu wasn’t easily dealt with either. Seeing the Brass Mechanized Guard unaffected, it didn’t dive back into the water as before, but continued spraying black gas at the Guard’s shadow.

”Puff...”

The spear of the Brass Mechanized Guard struck first, directly piercing Yu’s head.

Surprisingly, the spear seemed to pass through a shadow, then plunged into the lake water.

The Yu’s black gas arrived immediately, but the Brass Mechanized Guard remained unaffected.

When facing enemies, the Brass Mechanized Guard is relentless unless ordered by the Lord.

One strike unsuccessful, it continued attacking.

Yu is a special beast akin to a phantom, having no physical form. Weapons have no effect.

”Plop, plop, plop...”

One Yu wasn’t enough; two, three, five, ten, a dozen Yus poked their heads out of the lake, attacking not only the Brass Mechanized Guard’s side shadow under the sun but also the reflection in the water.

The Brass Mechanized Guard continued to stab the water with its spear...

Both harming each other, yet unable to harm.

Just like that, one controlled by the Celestial Dao Rules, one controlled by territory, both in ineffective attacks!

”Brass Mechanized Guard, cease attacking, bring the water back.”

Yi Tian shouted with a gloomy face.

The Brass Mechanized Guard’s ability to ignore spiritual attacks gave Yi Tian a different sense.

Yi Tian quickly opened the auction house and found that gold and top-level stone prices had doubled.

Now, gold is 200 Celestial Dao Coins per unit, top-level stone is 1000 Celestial Dao Coins per unit.

Various metals are showing a rising trend.

Indeed!

In the special auction zone, numerous ”Gui Strategy Manuals” appeared impressively.

The information in the ”Gui Strategy Manual” had two points: ”Yu’s attack is a spiritual attack. First, mechanical guards are immune to Yu’s spiritual attack. Having mechanical guards can solve the water scarcity issue. Second, possessing spiritual attack means can annihilate Yu, provided Yu’s spiritual power is not much higher than the Lord’s.”

The message spread across regions and sub-regions, many Lords had Mechanized Guard crystals and design maps.

Yi Tian was still in District 66 and saw many people possessing Brass Mechanism Guard Design Maps.

It’s just that the construction cost was too high, leading many to prefer buying slaves rather than spending money to create Brass Mechanized Guards.

The news about mechanical guards being immune to spiritual attacks caused a surge in gold and top-level stone prices.

The meaning of Mechanical Guards has changed in the hearts of the Lords. The existence of the Celestial Dao is reasonable, and the rules of the Celestial Dao would not create an item without reason.

Additionally, many Lords from high-level and top-level regions have begun constructing more advanced villas.

The rise in gold prices is inevitable.

It’s happening even earlier than Yi Tian expected.

The first wave of price increases currently is relatively conservative.

Yi Tian is anxious. Gold is limited, and this price increase is almost impossible to fall back.

This means Yi Tian’s Elemental Warriors will require a higher price!

Calculating in his mind, even if gold and top-level stone prices double, he still has a significant chance to gather 3,600 Elemental Warriors.

But he feels very displeased, spending tens of billions of Dao Coins for no reason.

”Man proposes, God disposes!” Yi Tian sighed.

If everything went according to plan, how wonderful would it be!

Of course, it was just a thought!

Selling water?

Yi Tian is not interested in that small profit at all.

The Mechanical Guards are immune to the attacks from Yu, meaning water cannot be sold at a high price.

Water denominated in Spirit Coins is purely a waste of Yi Tian’s time.

To prevent further gold price hikes, Yi Tian spent 3 billion Dao Coins to purchase 15 million units of gold.

Yi Tian does not plan to store this batch of gold in the vault, nor does he have the space.

The gold is piled up in the open space within the estate, ready to be used to manufacture Elemental Warriors when the opportunity arises.

In the evening, Yi Tian had Gu Qianqiu arrange a group of people to work overtime through the night harvesting grain.

Two solar-powered harvesters worked day and night, one harvesting wheat, the other harvesting rice.

As the harvesters rolled over, grain without any hulls was taken into the warehouse.

The grain was piled up but not transported into the estate.

The granary can only store one-eighth of the harvest.

Once the harvest was almost complete, Yi Tian held an auction on-site.

”Brother, I’ve collected enough Elemental Warrior Design Maps and Element Cores, wonder if we could exchange for the Five Elements Sacred Fruit.”

While still at the auction house, a chat request from the Great Emperor appeared.

”Hmm, let’s trade!”

Although Yi Tian was in a bad mood, as an important informant in the high-level region, he still kept his promise.

Yi Tian knows the Great Emperor must have consumed a significant wave to gather millions so quickly.

”Brother, could I exchange 30 Elemental Warrior Design Maps and 60 Element Cores for your Five Elements Sacred Fruit and Four Symbols Pine Nuts?”

The Great Emperor replied again, feeling very anxious inside.

The anxiety stems from the fear that with gold prices rising, Yi Tian might not want these things anymore.

”[Five Elements Sacred Fruit * 1] [Four Symbols Pine Nuts * 1] in exchange for [Elemental Warrior Design Map * 30] [Element Core * 60].”

Yi Tian drafted the transaction list, not mentioning the Five Elements Sacred Fruit; the price the Great Emperor gave for the Four Symbols Pine Nuts was higher than those auctioned off a few days ago.

What reason is there to refuse?

Transaction successful!

”Congratulations, brother, on today’s great harvest. You made billions with a wave of your hand, truly a model for us.” It’s time for the Great Emperor’s daily flattery.

”It’s alright! By the way, there’s no need to collect Elemental Warrior Design Maps and Element Cores in the future.” Yi Tian replied casually to the Great Emperor.

”Uh! Okay then!”

The Great Emperor thought that with the doubling of gold and top-level stone prices, the Wealthiest in the World had already given up on the Elemental Warriors.

The total cost of Elemental Warriors initially was 2.1 million Dao Coins; now it’s 3.6 million Dao Coins.

Can’t hold up! Can’t hold up!

3.6 million Dao Coins can be equivalent to 6 Early-stage Gold natives.

A Mid-stage Gold Mechanical Guard, even after gold price increase, is only 2.5 million Dao Coins.

The Mid-stage Gold Mechanical Guard, although unable to release elements, can throw axes from a distance, can withstand and fight, with combat power crushing Elemental Warriors.

”Brother, what does it take to exchange for Enlightenment Tea?” The Great Emperor, unable to bear the loneliness in his heart as Yi Tian remained silent for a while, asked again.

Enlightenment Tea was too impressive; the Great Emperor had been restless as a cat’s scratch over these days.

While eating, Yi Tian quickly finished the bowl of rice and replied: ”Enlightenment Tea is something I’m in urgent need of too, but give me some time. Even at a very high cost, I can still manage to get some. Once I get Enlightenment Tea, I’ll notify you immediately.”

Yi Tian always has to hold some means to control the Great Emperor.

For the next auction, Yi Tian won’t go bid for Enlightenment Tea, and he’ll wait until he’s interested to discuss it.

The last time 3 pieces of Enlightenment Tea fetched a price of fifty million.

Is Enlightenment Tea worth fifty million?

The Lords were just out of money.

As long as they have money, the Lords will offer even higher prices.

Yi Tian wants to create the illusion that he too is in dire need of Enlightenment Tea.

Enlightenment Tea has no fixed price. The more a Lord needs it, the more valuable it becomes.

”Brother, whenever I have good news or good stuff in the future, I’ll contact you first.” The Great Emperor said emotionally.

Ending the chat, Yi Tian continued to gather information on Yu from various manuals at the auction house.

A constitution that is strong to a certain extent can be immune to Yu’s Spiritual Attacks, but that’s a false proposition.

The stronger the lord’s physical constitution, the stronger the spiritual power of the Yu in the territory. Unless hiring mercenaries across regions for ”fetching water”...

Only Spiritual Attacks can kill Yu. This has certainly been tested by lords.

Although Yi Tian’s spiritual power is several times stronger than practitioners of the same level, he cannot perform Spiritual Attacks.

Typically, an ordinary person’s spirit is at 10, F-level strength spirit is at 20, D-level strength spiritual power is at 30, and C-level strength spiritual power ranges from 40 to 50.

B-level strength spiritual power ranges from 60 to 100, with living creatures who also practice spirit power reaching 100 to 200 at B-level.

A-level strength spiritual power ranges from 100 to 200, with living creatures who also practice spirit power reaching 300.

S-level strength spiritual power ranges from 300 to 500, with living creatures who also practice spirit power reaching 700.

”Three-Eyed One-Horned High Priest, I almost forgot about you.”

Yi Tian closed the auction house and walked out of the villa.
