Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

Chapter 70: Chapter 62: Blood Moon Rises, Demons Emerge

This black piece of beast hide scroll.

After Yi Tian got the Celestial Dao Contract, he filled in his own information under Registrant.

”Celestial Dao Contract activation detected. Do you wish to sign the contract?”

Once Yi Tian completed his information, the Celestial Dao Stone gave this prompt.

”Yes!”

At the same time, Purple Phoenix Moon Dance’s Celestial Dao Stone gave a prompt as well. Both confirmed simultaneously.

The beast hide scroll in front of Yi Tian faded, replaced by a black screen of light and a brush with a golden tip.

Both Yi Tian and Purple Phoenix Moon Dance could see this light screen. Any word appearing would be synced for the two of them.

At the top of the light screen were only two lines of information—the contract signatory information for Yi Tian and Purple Phoenix Moon Dance.

Purple Phoenix Moon Dance, a.k.a. Xue Wu, also formally learned Yi Tian’s name. A genuine Human Race member—Yi Tian!

As for Yi Tian, Purple Phoenix Moon Dance was somewhat curious. To gain such fame in the Celestial Dao World, it couldn’t just be luck.

”Yi Tian, you draft the contract. I’ll sign if there’s no problem after I look at it.” On the other side, Purple Phoenix Moon Dance spoke to Yi Tian in the auction house chat.

Yi Tian didn’t stand on ceremony; he picked up the brush and started drafting the contract info on the light screen.

First, Purple Phoenix Moon Dance must not disclose Yi Tian’s personal information.

Second, Purple Phoenix Moon Dance must not harm Yi Tian’s life or seize any items within Yi Tian’s territory.

Third, Yi Tian will deliver [Glazed Holy Fruit*1][Vermilion Fruit*1][Dragon Blood Holy Fruit*1][Cyan Spirit Fruit*1][Silver Profound Fruit*1] to Purple Phoenix Moon Dance within an hour; at the same time, Purple Phoenix Moon Dance must pay 38 million Celestial Dao Coins or the equivalent in Elemental Warrior Design Maps and Element Cores within three months.

Fourth, Yi Tian will provide Purple Phoenix Moon Dance with 50 million Celestial Dao Coins within three days; Purple Phoenix Moon Dance, upon receiving the coins, must purchase 500 Elemental Warrior Design Maps for Yi Tian.

Just these four points. Draft complete.

”What if I can get Elemental Warrior Design Maps for just 90,000 each?” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance asked in chat.

”That’s your skill! With me, it’s 100,000 per Elemental Warrior Design Map.” Yi Tian replied.

”Didn’t you say you’d give me a discount on the Spirit Fruit last time? Why is it still 38 million?” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance threw out another question.

”Maybe you should brush up on your math. The Spirit Fruit was originally 48 million, 20% off is 38.4 million, and I already rounded it down for you.” Yi Tian was speechless.

He, Yi Tian, might care a little about profit, but he valued credibility even more.

”Who said I don’t understand math? I just can’t be bothered to calculate. I’ll trust you this once!” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance was a bit annoyed, pretending to cover up.

”Take a look and see if the contract has any issues?” Yi Tian said to Purple Phoenix Moon Dance.

”No problem! I can sign.” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance replied quickly.

”Heh, let me revise it!”

”Second item: Under the condition Yi Tian is not an enemy of Purple Phoenix Moon Dance, Purple Phoenix Moon Dance must not harm Yi Tian’s life.”

This revision made Purple Phoenix Moon Dance’s expression shift on the other end.

She clenched her fist, then relaxed it, and suddenly felt Yi Tian wasn’t so scheming after all.

”Sign it!” Yi Tian didn’t mock Purple Phoenix Moon Dance.

He genuinely wanted to build an equal relationship with a boss from a Monster Region, thinking it would benefit him more later on.

Not to be found out, cause a rift, and get tripped up.

With his territory growing ever stronger, crisis would become unpredictable.

The Omen Stone was a good example. If it weren’t for Second Child, a month of nights and days would’ve gone to waste.

Since Yi Tian chose ”Wealthiest in the World,” he had to have a reliable trump card before his development took off.

As the two signed at the bottom of the Celestial Dao Contract, the contract came into effect.

This was a win-win contract; it basically bound the two as allies.

Purple Phoenix Moon Dance got five S-level and above Spirit Fruits at a 20% discount and no-interest loan. This would give her more than 200 attribute points and 50 Spiritual Power Value.

Additionally, Purple Phoenix Moon Dance had a chance to profit from a portion of Yi Tian’s 50 million Celestial Dao Coins funding.

As for Yi Tian, he now had a source for Elemental Warrior Design Maps even more stable than the Great Emperor’s.

Purple Phoenix Moon Dance’s region was clearly at least two levels stronger than the Great Emperor’s.

According to Purple Phoenix Moon Dance, every Lord in her region was A-level.

No shortage of Elemental Warrior Design Maps.

As for Element Cores, Yi Tian had already set the price, but none had appeared in the auction house yet.

These days, quite a few High-Level Region Lords privately contacted Yi Tian with Element Cores, but the big shots all tried every trick to haggle with him.

They all seemed to know Yi Tian needed Elemental Warriors and wanted to mess with him. Yi Tian got annoyed and simply stopped accepting any unfamiliar chat requests.

Five hundred thousand means five hundred thousand. He wouldn’t buy even for a thousand more.

The contempt between the lines from many made Yi Tian quite unhappy.

Yi Tian’s plan to acquire Element Cores now excluded High-Level Regions. He’d focus on Ordinary Regions instead.

Compared to High-Level Regions, those in Ordinary Regions might only have one or two Element Cores, but they valued them less. They lacked resources even more than High-Level Regions.

He already had a plan to earn Element Cores from those Ordinary Regions.

From now on, Purple Phoenix Moon Dance would be tasked to collect the Elemental Warrior Design Maps.

”[Dragon Blood Holy Fruit*1][Vermilion Fruit*1][Cyan Spirit Fruit*1][Glazed Holy Fruit*1][Silver Profound Fruit*1] to trade for [Elemental Warrior Design Map*30].”

”Purple Phoenix Moon Dance, your 38 million Celestial Dao Coin debt can wait. These 30 Elemental Warrior Design Maps are to be deducted from those 500 maps.”

After posting the trade, Yi Tian added a chat message as well.

”Where’s my fifty million?” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance asked Yi Tian.

”After the auction on the 7th is over.” Yi Tian replied.

Yi Tian still had over 40 million left, but he needed it for Elemental Warriors. If he didn’t sell his gold, he’d be out of money for now!

”Okay!” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance didn’t say more.

”Did you register with the Mercenary System?” Yi Tian asked her.

”Of course. Takes four or five days to finish a single mission. Today I saw a C-level mercenary complete over 170 missions with a 100% win rate. The King of Mercenaries missions are so unfriendly to our tier.” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance was pretty frustrated talking about mercenaries.

She stayed active 24/7, yet just couldn’t find a mission.

For S-level mercenaries, even if they’re asleep at night, they’ll accept a mission anytime. Each dispatch costs a million Celestial Dao Coins—right now, that’s a fortune.

”The number of missions and win rate are bonus points for the King of Mercenaries selection. But I think the commission income from mercenaries weighs even more. In other words, you finish one mission, that’s worth a hundred missions from a C-level mercenary. As everyone gets richer, S-level mercenaries’ advantages will get bigger. Of course, you can see it as a bonus for mission difficulty too.” Yi Tian explained his reasoning to Purple Phoenix Moon Dance.

C-level mercenaries can work for over ten days and still not guarantee a win rate. Purple Phoenix Moon Dance only needs a single successful mission—that’s the advantage of the strong.

”That actually makes sense.” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance agreed.

”What’s your mercenary code? I’ll follow you. Maybe I’ll send you money someday.”

It really was like giving her money—Yi Tian’s enemies were mostly A-level. For Purple Phoenix Moon Dance, she could squash them with one slap.

”So that’s why your first contract clause is about personal info—you want to hire me to deal with your enemies!” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance suddenly realized.

She started looking forward to visiting Yi Tian’s territory, curious to see if the Celestial Dao World’s Fattest Sheep had anything special about it.

”My code is ’Phoenix’! Hope you run into danger soon.” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance gave her code and even threw in a curse for Yi Tian.

”I’d rather not see you.” Yi Tian replied.

”Didn’t you say the Phoenix is a legend on your home planet—how could you not want to see the Phoenix?” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance replied, indignant.

”I’m afraid I’d be disappointed!” Yi Tian started searching the S-level area in the Mercenary System.

He immediately saw the code ”Phoenix” and clicked to follow this mercenary.

This way, he could hire Purple Phoenix Moon Dance quickly in the future.

”What’s that supposed to mean?” Purple Phoenix Moon Dance messaged back, clearly annoyed.

”Nothing!” Yi Tian brushed her off, then, seeing his food was about to go cold, said to Purple Phoenix Moon Dance: ”Time for dinner. Here’s to our cooperation!”

After speaking, Yi Tian hung up the auction house chat.

The food, as always, was terrible—seemed like they’d forgotten the salt. But Yi Tian wasn’t picky; a few bites and he finished up.

After getting thirty more design maps, Yi Tian headed outside the villa to start purchasing materials.

Total cost: 48 million Celestial Dao Coins. The Warrior Pavilion gained another 30 Elemental Warriors.

”Greetings, Lord!”

Once the warriors were born, they knelt on one knee and performed the recognition ritual to Yi Tian.

”Proceed to the north city wall and wait for tomorrow’s big battle.” Yi Tian ordered the Elemental Warriors.

”Acknowledged, Lord!” The Elemental Warriors received their orders and headed to the north city wall.

”Thirty B-level Warriors detected in territory. Territory Points +6000. Current Territory Points: 264,950.”

Celestial Dao Coin Balance: 5.02 million.

Element Cores: 67.

”Everyone, be careful tomorrow. I heard from a little bird that some regions were invaded by Indigenous People today.” After washing up and getting ready for bed, Yi Tian didn’t forget to send this message to Area 66.

Yi Tian guessed that those invaded today were all from Top-Level and High-Level Regions. Otherwise, as an active mercenary, he’d certainly be hired en masse by the Lords.

Only High-Level Regions and Top-Level Regions would look down on his C-level strength.

”Big Boss with another inside scoop.”

”We’re screwed, Celestial Dao not only wants us starving, now it wants our lives.” —Deer Biyong from the Deer Race.

”Damn Celestial Dao, have the guts to kill me then.”

”Can’t we catch a single break?”

”Indigenous People? Why not savage beasts instead!”

...

”Celestial Dao Rules—push and pull. Make Lords dance on the edge of survival and death, struggling between hope and despair. With tomorrow’s danger comes opportunity. Keep your spirits up, adapt to the present, and you’ll ride into the future!” —Earth Human Race, Yi Tian.

After that, Yi Tian left a message for Qin Fanshuang, letting her know about tomorrow’s invasion.

Yi Tian also discovered a friend request from Purple Phoenix Moon Dance.

Yi Tian accepted, closed the chat, and lay down to sleep.

He slept quite soundly, until suddenly it felt stifling hot. At first, Yi Tian thought Little Kiddo was messing with him.

After a while, Yi Tian felt Little Kiddo tossing and turning as if it was getting hotter around, and that finally woke him up.

”What the hell is going on?”

Upon waking, Yi Tian’s first impression was heat.

As stifling as Earth’s summer.

He could still tolerate it, but it felt really uncomfortable.

Yi Tian took out the Celestial Dao Stone and checked the time—not even 4:30.

The kiddos were still fast asleep, but rolled over almost every five seconds. Fourth Child even had a leg hanging off the bed, nearly falling off.

The window was open, and the moon was still overhead, but now it was shrouded in a layer of blood red.

”Blood Moon rises, monsters appear!”

Yi Tian muttered.

With a physique of 331, Yi Tian was actually feeling overheated. That couldn’t be right.
