Global Lords: Me and My Calabash Kiddos

Chapter 58: Chapter 51: Liyue and Seven Petals

”Hmph! What a bootlicker, so childish.” Second Child sat in Yi Tian’s arms, hugging her own arms, looking at Shan Dashan with disdain.

”Your little girl sure is precocious.” Shan Dashan was famous for being thick-skinned. After realizing this great figure was actually Yi Tian, who often chatted with him, he felt his own life was safe and finally let out a breath of relief.

”Kids don’t understand stuff, don’t take it to heart.” Yi Tian gave an apologetic smile.

”Not at all, not at all. The presence of a top dog like you really lights up my humble abode! It’s really rough conditions here, and I’m not much for entertaining, but I did get this C-level Spirit Tea from a Silver Treasure Chest. The first time you drink it, it increases agility by one and constitution by one. Today I’m bringing it out to entertain my special guest, hoping you won’t mind the simple fare.” Shan Dashan took out some teacups, poured hot water, making tea for Yi Tian, then poured another cup for Second Child.

Within less than a minute, the fragrance of tea filled the entire house.

”Well then, I won’t refuse your hospitality.” Yi Tian thought to himself, nice tea! Back on Earth, when Grandpa was alive, he loved drinking tea, so Yi Tian grew up exposed to it and liked tea a lot too.

After drinking a cup, Yi Tian saw his agility and constitution each go up by one, and took quite a liking to Shan Dashan.

”Tasty! Even better than milk.” Second Child licked her lips, rare praise from her.

”Alright! I came here with a Junior-level Mist Scroll, so my time’s almost up. Thanks for your great hospitality. If you ever need help, just reach out.”

After finishing the tea, Yi Tian stood up and thanked Shan Dashan.

With less than two hours left, and hoping to find something else, Yi Tian didn’t stick around.

”Wish we could sit and chat all night, top dog. Once I get my hands on a Mist Scroll, I’ll definitely visit your territory.” Shan Dashan had a great impression of polite and gentle Yi Tian, especially since they were both from the Human Race, which made him feel even closer.

Polite and gentle, that was Shan Dashan’s gut feeling about Yi Tian.

He was strong, he was rich. But he didn’t look at people much weaker than himself like they were ants.

Shan Dashan felt like he’d willingly been charmed by Yi Tian.

”Yeah, I feel like we clicked instantly too. See you!”

When Shan Dashan saw Yi Tian to the door, Yi Tian picked up Kiddo, jumped onto Tiger One, and waved his goodbyes to Shan Dashan.

”Roar...”

Tiger One flashed a few times and disappeared from Shan Dashan’s sight.

Faction channel.

”Emperor Shan, Emperor Shan, you still there?”

”Emperor Shan’s ID is still up.”

”Did Emperor Shan get caught and is being tortured now?”

”Were the enemies just too strong? Emperor Shan can’t even send messages?”

”We didn’t just lose Emperor Shan, we lost all our fun too.”

”Thanks for everyone’s concern. I’m totally safe right now. The one who came to my territory wasn’t an invader—it was top dog Yi Tian. Yi Tian was looking for Sam but wandered onto my turf. We had a great chat. Sam is done for. The beast top dog is riding has three dimensions averaging 600, Spiritual Power over 500, and SSS-level innate divine techniques. The big boss can hold up the sky with one hand and split the earth with his foot, he’s both elegant and handsome but absolutely oozing overbearing aura. His daughter is super cute and pretty too...” — Black Stone Star Human Race, Shan Dashan.

That last message was super long, right up until he couldn’t type anymore.

Basically, he praised Yi Tian to the heavens.

But everyone in the channel thought he was BS-ing to the moon and back.

No one believed it was real.

A mount with three dimensions at six hundred?

Five hundred Spiritual Power.

SSS-level divine techniques.

Who you kidding?

Emperor Shan is talking out of his ass now, huh?

If he tamed a mount like that, wouldn’t Yi Tian just bash through all the mist zones?

...

After leaving Shan Dashan’s territory, Yi Tian just had Tiger One run wild.

Doesn’t matter where he ended up, he’d just get teleported back anyway.

This forest was huge; no way Shan Dashan was the only Lord here.

The amount of wood here is pretty much limitless, and there are all sorts of fierce beasts at various levels. Logically, some tribe must be rooted here.

”Daddy, a hundred li away, there’s a group of minotaurs chasing two people.” An hour later, after using Thousand-Mile Eye, Second Child gave Yi Tian a heads-up.

”Minotaurs? Heaven-Reaching Tribe? Did we end up in their turf?”

That Minotaur Race is really something, and they’re not exactly friendly with Yi Tian!

”Detected that Mist Scroll has issued a quest.”

Yi Tian was stunned for a second—the Mist Scroll can issue quests?

He opened the Mist Scroll hanging at his waist, thinking, this thing’s really something.

And it’s just a junior-level one!

The scroll opened, and a string of characters appeared: ”Defeat the Heaven-Reaching Tribe’s minotaur pursuers and rescue the Flower Spirits. Complete the quest to earn favor from the Flower Spirits!”

”Flower Spirits? Could they be like the Gourd Spirit?” Yi Tian made the connection and got interested.

”Tiger One, that way!”

Yi Tian gave orders to Tiger One, at the same time gripping his sword hilt, ready to fight at any moment.

Second Child wasn’t too strong. Even though Yi Tian had martial skills, the Celestial Ice Palm could only be learned with Water Attribute. Second Child had attributeless Spiritual Power; he needed the right martial skill for that.

Tiger One sped up, and in a few minutes, charged to the area where the Flower Spirits were being besieged.

At that moment, a bunch of three-meter-tall minotaurs were attacking two delicate Flower Spirits—it was basically beastly behavior.

But these two Flower Spirits were pretty formidable too.

One was a Liyue Flower, the other a Seven-Heart Flower.

Liyue Flower sent blossom petals flying from her sleeves; those petals could even dent Divine Weapons.

No need to mention what happened if it hit your body.

Seven-Heart Flower pinched out thin red needles at will, just as deadly as the petals.

And both Flower Spirits were light as fairies, channeling spiritual energy as they retreated.

With their strength and physique, the minotaurs couldn’t take them down right away. They were just relying on their thick skin to wear out the Flower Spirits’ spiritual power.

”Sis, what do we do? I’m almost out of spiritual power.” Seven-Heart Flower shouted to Liyue, face full of worry.

”I’m almost out too.” Liyue’s face went pale.

If they got caught, the Minotaur Race would definitely eat them.

They’d been running for half a day, and used up their talents already.

The Minotaur Race actually used to have a Golden Warrior, but the two Flower Spirits used their talents together to kill him.

Now, with dozens of Silver Bull Race warriors closing in, Liyue and Seven-Heart were reaching their limit.

Even suicide wouldn’t save them; they felt utterly hopeless.

”Roaaar...”

A soul-shaking roar echoed through the forest.

The tiger’s roar shook the mountains, striking fear in the Minotaur Race.

Yi Tian rode Tiger One into view not far away.

The minotaurs looked at each other and couldn’t help but step back.

The White Tiger’s fierce eyes told these experienced minotaur warriors that this wasn’t a fight they could win.

”Young lord, save us!” The Seven-Heart from Liyue thought Second Child seemed super familiar, like the same kind, and that made Yi Tian seem friendly too. So she called out for help, desperate for a last shot.

Yi Tian took a closer look—he’d expected the Flower Spirits to be kids, but wow, they were mature and beautiful!

Delicate features, no makeup, and a special aura that made people want to get close.

”Tiger One, get ’em!”

After assessing the strength and numbers of these minotaurs, Yi Tian decided not to get involved directly, hopped off Tiger One with Kiddo in his arms, and gave Tiger One space to operate.

”We’re from the Heaven-Reaching Tribe. You’d better get out of the way.”

The leader, a minotaur with stats above four hundred, yelled at Yi Tian, but you could hear the fear in his trembling voice beneath the tough talk.

Clearly, he was spooked by Tiger One’s presence too.

”Heh! You Heaven-Reaching Tribe folks are exactly who I’m here for.” As soon as Yi Tian finished, Tiger One launched into attack.

With a blow like thunder.

”Boom!”

With a huge crash, the minotaur leader was sent flying dozens of meters, smashed through three big trees, probably didn’t survive.

The rest of the minotaurs didn’t dare tangle. They scattered immediately.

They were pretty sly too—not all running in the same direction, but splitting up everywhere.

Tiger One caught up to two minotaurs, slapped each one dead.

When one started running far, it spat a golden sword at him.

The minotaur got hit by the golden sword and dropped dead.

Tiger One was about to chase the rest but Yi Tian stopped it, ”Tiger One, don’t go after them, we’re short on time.”

Tiger One obeyed and trotted right back to Yi Tian’s side.

Yi Tian walked up to the Seven-Heart Flower and Liyue Flower. The two Flower Spirits huddled together, afraid of Tiger One, then glanced at the smiling Yi Tian.

”Would you like to come back to my territory with me?” Yi Tian asked the Seven-Heart and Liyue Flowers.

”You’re a Lord! But you just saved us, you’re our savior for life. As long as you don’t eat us, we’re willing to recognize you as our master.” Liyue Flower thanked Yi Tian. Seeing he had the same Dao Body as her, she felt reassured.

”Haha, why would I ever eat you! Stick with me and I’ll treat you well.” Yi Tian laughed. Once Spirit Flowers gain consciousness, they become top-level intelligent life, a whole different class from ordinary spirit medicine.

Becoming sentient is fate—you can’t just make it happen!

Just like the four Little Kiddos can’t become gourds again. Seven-Heart can’t change back into the Seven-Heart Flower, Liyue can’t become the Liyue Flower again.

”Greetings, Master.” Seven-Heart and Liyue relaxed and bowed to Yi Tian in unison.

”Great! We’re running short on time, let’s head back to the territory.” Yi Tian took out the Mist Scroll and silently chanted ”return.”

The Mist Scroll let out a white light enveloping three people, one kid, and one beast, bringing them back to the territory.

The Junior-level Mist Scroll shattered into points of light and vanished.

”Liyue, Qixin, how long have you two been sentient?” These two didn’t use three-dimensional stats; all their attacks relied entirely on spiritual power.

S-level potential is decent—not Divine Level, so a tiny bit disappointing.

And the two girls survived only due to their S-level Misty Step Technique, a skill they learned after transforming—guess they’ve both had a bit of adventure.

”Master, we both grew up in a spiritual spring in a cliffside cave, nurtured by spring water till we could become Flower Spirits. It’s been about thirteen years since we were born. Lots of creatures tried to eat us; we’ve been hiding here and there, escaping by the skin of our teeth many times. This was the closest call—if it wasn’t for you, Master, we’d have been caught by those monsters.” Compared to the quiet Qixin, Liyue was eloquent, clever, and knew how to explain things.

”Don’t worry, as long as you’re in my territory, nobody can touch you—unless my whole territory’s destroyed.” Yi Tian saw the girls had been through a lot and did his best to reassure them.

”Thank you, Lord! You’re truly the best.”

The two girls were genuinely moved by Yi Tian’s bold words; their Loyalty jumped to 100, showing how simple they were at heart.

”You two seem good with fashion—can you cook?” Yi Tian asked Liyue.

If the girls could take care of the Little Kiddos, and handle villa chores, wouldn’t that free Yi Tian up?

More time for training and grinding!

”My sister and I are both good cooks! We’ve been living together for over a decade, we can handle everything.” Liyue replied to Yi Tian.

Qixin nodded as well.
