Beast Taming: I'm Really Not a Cultivation Master

Chapter 362: Chapter 332: Completing the Training

In the end, the eight of them reached a consensus and decided to head to Yellow Sand Ridge for their training.

Before they left, Li Qian felt something wasn’t right. He spoke up, offering a reminder. ”The situation here is clearly abnormal. To prevent others from wandering in by mistake and causing some irreversible disaster, I suggest we report this to the Federation Government.”

Hearing this, Dakoli nodded in agreement. He pulled out his phone as he spoke, ”I have a relative who works for the Beastmaster Association in Shazhou City. I’ll inform him of the situation right now.”

As he spoke, he had already dialed a number. It wasn’t long before the call connected.

Dakoli briefly and concisely explained the situation. The call ended quickly.

Li Qian noticed that after ending the call, Dakoli’s expression looked a little grim. He asked, ”What did your relative say?”

”He said this matter is far from simple. He told us to evacuate as soon as possible, and that it would be best to leave the West Wusu Desert entirely.” Dakoli’s brow was tightly furrowed as he relayed the contents of the call.

”Yellow Sand Ridge and Black Stone Forest are in completely opposite directions. It should be fine, right?” Li Qian’s brows knitted in thought as he heard this, and he voiced his opinion.

”The risk should be minimal. My relative was just giving a suggestion,” Dakoli said, glancing around at the others. Seeing that everyone still looked eager for more, he offered his own recommendation. ”We can go to Yellow Sand Ridge, but as for this Black Stone Forest, I doubt we’ll be able to come back anytime soon.”

”Also, I told my relative about our group’s situation. According to him, with our team’s composition, training in Yellow Sand Ridge should be no problem at all. However, we still need to be cautious. In the wild, many dangers are interconnected. No one can guarantee that an accident won’t happen in Yellow Sand Ridge.”

Dakoli had a point. After listening to him, everyone nodded in agreement.

With the decision made, they wasted no more time and set off directly in the opposite direction from Black Stone Forest.

Li Qian suddenly turned his head for another look at Black Stone Forest, his furrowed brow never relaxing.

’This whole thing is probably not as simple as I thought,’ he mused. But he knew even more clearly that with his current abilities, he had no way of getting involved.

’It’s useless to dwell on it. I’ll just let the bigwigs in the government worry about it.’

Meanwhile, in Shazhou City, at the Beastmaster Association, a middle-aged man with a thick beard put down his phone, his face etched with gravity.

”To think something like this would happen in Black Stone Forest... Dakoli and his group of freshmen have really done us a huge favor this time,” the bearded man muttered to himself before quickly striding out of his office.

Back with Li Qian’s group of eight, they had just left Black Stone Forest and hadn’t gone far when they suddenly heard the roar of engines in the distance.

”RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE...”

As the sound grew closer, a convoy of off-road vehicles came into view. Li Qian was quite puzzled by this and shot a glance at Dakoli.

Dakoli knew why Li Qian was looking at him and explained, ”Don’t look at me like that. Those are specially modified off-road vehicles.”

”And they can only drive a little further. They won’t be able to enter Black Stone Forest itself. After that, they’ll either have to store the vehicles in Spatial Equipment or post people to guard them outside the forest.”

Encountering such a convoy here at this time, there was no doubt they were also headed for Black Stone Forest.

Dakoli lowered his voice and suddenly asked Li Qian, ”Should we warn them?”

Li Qian sank into thought upon hearing this. A moment later, he gave Dakoli a subtle shake of his head.

’How could we even warn them? Tell them that there are three Emperor-level Pet Beasts and over a dozen Overlord-level Pet Beasts in Black Stone Forest?’

’Putting aside whether they’d even believe us, we have no proof. They’d just think it was a joke.’

’As for the location, blurting it out rashly wouldn’t just be ineffective as a warning; it might even get them into more trouble.’

So they chose to stay put and do nothing, say nothing. In any case, they had already reported the location to the Federation Government. From here on out, it was no longer their business.

As they passed each other, Li Qian glanced through the car windows and saw that the five vehicles in the convoy were packed with people.

Li Qian found this slightly odd. ’With such a large formation, isn’t coming to a place like Black Stone Forest instead of heading deeper into the West Wusu Desert a bit of an overkill?’

Although he found it a bit strange, Li Qian didn’t dwell on it. The group of eight passed the convoy and continued straight on their way.

That afternoon, around two o’clock, they arrived at Yellow Sand Ridge. After their arrival, their luck finally took a turn for the better.

Or, to be more precise, their luck had finally returned to normal. There were no more Little Butterflies.

After their experience in Black Stone Forest, even though they knew Yellow Sand Ridge wasn’t a major threat, they all remained cautious and vigilant.

Time flew by. Soon, a full day and night had passed. The next day, at around three in the afternoon, the group of eight emerged from Yellow Sand Ridge.

A hint of joy appeared on all their faces. Clearly, they were very satisfied with their day and night of training.

And indeed they were. Over the past day and night, they had not only broadened their horizons and honed their combat skills, but they had also harvested a certain amount of Extraordinary Resources. It was, by all accounts, a complete success.

”It’s getting late. Let’s head back to Zhenxi Town,” Pilo suggested, looking up at the sky.

In truth, even if Pilo hadn’t said anything, they would have had to return to Zhenxi Town anyway. Tomorrow was Monday, and they had classes.

”Let’s go.” Dakoli glanced at his watch, figured out the direction of Zhenxi Town, and then waved his arm forward with a grand gesture.

They wasted no more time and began their journey back. Because their training had gone so well, they were all relaxed and cheerful, talking and laughing along the way.

A little after five o’clock, they returned to Zhenxi Town, but the sight that greeted them was quite baffling.

At the entrance and exit of Zhenxi Town, a simple checkpoint had been erected at some point.

”What’s going on?” Li Yuhu asked Li Qian, his face full of confusion.

Li Qian stared for a moment, then shook his head. ”I don’t know. They look like officials. Let’s go ask.”

Although Li Qian said this, he already had a faint premonition. This situation was probably related to the incident at Black Stone Forest.
