Beast Taming: I'm Really Not a Cultivation Master

Chapter 359: Chapter 329: The Terrifying Light Dots

After falling to the bottom of the large pit that had suddenly appeared from the collapse, Li Qian quickly took a flashlight from his Space Necklace and began to look around.

Thanks to the spectacular technology of this Beast Taming World, even an ordinary flashlight, when turned on, was like a small sun, instantly illuminating the entire bottom of the pit.

Li Qian scanned his surroundings and frowned, immediately dimming the flashlight’s beam.

At the bottom of this unfamiliar cave, using such a conspicuous light source meant his position would be exposed in an instant.

It was like a beacon, potentially guiding hidden enemies right to him and leading to some unforeseen danger.

Realizing this, Li Qian hadn’t hesitated at all; he had instinctively dimmed the flashlight.

The space at the bottom of the cave wasn’t very large, so this single beam of light was more than sufficient.

After only a quick scan, Li Qian noticed something unusual.

Set into one of the cave walls was a tunnel, sloping down and away.

Li Qian estimated its diameter to be about six meters. This led him to believe that this tunnel was likely the escape route of the Rock Giant from before.

The existence of this tunnel meant... that if he went deeper, he was bound to find something.

But Li Qian halted. The tunnel’s existence also meant... that if he pressed on, he would likely encounter unknown dangers.

Li Qian stood there, lost in silent contemplation.

He didn’t have to think for long before he made his decision.

’I’ll go in!’

’I have to go in and see what’s there!’

He made this decision partly out of curiosity, and partly because his instincts told him there might be a great opportunity inside.

Once he had decided, he wasted no time. He immediately and unhesitatingly walked toward the tunnel.

’Since I’m already at the bottom of this pit and have found a lead, I can’t just ignore it. I have to investigate, no matter what.’

Driven by curiosity, Li Qian hunched over and entered the tunnel, moving forward at a slow and steady pace.

The tunnel was about six meters in diameter, which was more than enough for Li Qian. For Qizai, however, it would be a tight squeeze. More importantly, it would make far too much noise and hinder his movements—unless it could master the Skilled Level ”Dragon Transformation” Skill and freely change its size.

Therefore, with no other option, Li Qian had no choice but to recall Qizai to his Beast Taming Space.

Without it, he had lost a powerful layer of protection and would need to proceed with even greater caution.

So, after entering the tunnel, Li Qian moved with extreme care, ensuring each foot was planted firmly before taking the next step.

As he ventured deeper, a glimmer of light appeared in the tunnel ahead, about a hundred meters away.

The light wasn’t harsh or dazzling.

On the contrary, it had a soft, gentle feel to it.

The moment he saw the light, Li Qian instinctively switched off his flashlight.

The light from ahead was more than enough to see the rest of the tunnel.

To be as stealthy as possible, Li Qian proceeded with even greater caution.

’There must be some unknown secret hidden up ahead...’ As he drew closer, Li Qian’s curiosity grew more intense.

But while cautious, he also remained secretly on high alert.

At some point, a blaster pistol had appeared in his hand.

He gripped it tightly.

At the same time, his gaze kept flicking to the Energy Detection Watch on his wrist.

He had already set the watch to silent mode.

If it detected Energy fluctuations, it would only display a notification on its face, without vibrating or making a sound.

Just as Li Qian was cautiously inching forward, a line of bright red text suddenly appeared on his Energy Detection Watch.

It was immediately followed by a dense cluster of light dots.

The dots appeared in a variety of different colors.

When Li Qian saw these dots, his heart sank instantly.

He had to fight the urge to curse out loud.

’What kind of shitty luck do I have?’

’I just came to the West Wusu Desert for some training, and I run into a situation this dangerous?’

On the Energy Detection Watch, every single dot represented an Extraordinary Creature.

The display was densely packed with at least two or three hundred dots.

That meant there were several hundred Extraordinary Creatures ahead, at the end of the tunnel.

Of course, that wasn’t even the worst part.

What was truly terrifying was that among the densely packed dots, three of them were dark red.

’And what do dark red dots represent?!’

’Emperor-level Pet Beasts!’

In other words, at the end of the tunnel ahead, there were actually three Emperor-level Extraordinary Creatures.

Staring at the information on his Energy Detection Watch, Li Qian was once again lost in thought.

’What should I do?’

’Continuing forward is beyond dangerous.’

’It’s basically dancing with death.’

’But to have come all this way just to turn back now...’ He was truly unwilling to accept it.

After a moment of silence, he slowly began to move forward again.

This wasn’t just out of curiosity; Li Qian had also carefully analyzed the situation.

They were about two kilometers underground. It seemed far, but for Emperor-level Extraordinary Creatures, that was nothing.

’The battle just now made a huge commotion. By all rights, with the keen Perception of an Emperor-level Extraordinary Creature, they definitely would have noticed.’

’And yet, during the fight, these three Emperor-level Extraordinary Creatures didn’t make a single move.’

’This situation points to two possibilities.’

’First, something is wrong with these three Emperor-level Extraordinary Creatures, and they can’t leave this underground space.’

However, Li Qian felt this possibility was very low.

’Second, these three Emperor-level Extraordinary Creatures, along with the two to three hundred other creatures of various levels, are unwilling to leave this underground space.’

Li Qian felt this possibility was much more likely.

’Since they’re unwilling to leave this underground space, if I approach carefully and make absolutely no noise, I probably won’t attract their attention.’

’That would make going to check things out much less dangerous.’

With this thought, his steps became a little more resolute.

His pace was slow, but the tunnel wasn’t long, and before he knew it, Li Qian had reached the end.

He dropped to his belly and crawled forward. Upon reaching the end of the tunnel, he carefully peeked out with half his head...
