A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 995: Chapter 987: Nightmare Rescue

Nightmare World.

The slightly distorted Nightmare World no longer births pure nightmare creatures like the Dread Demon King. After establishing the Nightmare Wizard Rules, it connects with the Wizard World, becoming an Illusory World closely linked to the Wizard World.

Wizard apprentices strive with all their might to gather the Power of Horror, aiming to become Nightmare Wizards.

Those possessing Immortal Bodies experience a massive dispersal of their own Power of Horror each time they die, making it increasingly impossible to ascend as a Dread Demon King to become an official Nightmare Wizard, or even degrade into a nightmare creature due to low Power of Horror.

Deep within the First Ring Holy Tower.

Upon a high seat, a witch as pure as a fairy tale patiently compiles the ”Tooth Fairy Tales,” a favorite fairy tale book among children in the prosperous cities of the Wizard World, rooting out the source of nightmares.

”You ultimately chose to establish a Sorcerer’s Tower on the Wizard Continent. The Second Ring Holy Tower has the largest number, the most abundant resources, and the strongest group of Sorcerer’s Towers in the Wizard World. Conditions there are indeed much better than in the Nightmare World.”

The First-Circle True Spirit Wizard said in a deep tone.

It’s evident that after the Nightmare Judgment faced attacks from the Black Sorcery Alliance, forcibly pressing the Nightmare Wizard to sign a treaty not to gather the Power of Horror in the Nightmare Realm belonging to the Dark Domain, the originally flourishing Nightmare Wizards faced significant impact, and the ambitious First-Circle True Spirit Wizard could only succumb to the power of the King of Dark Sorcerers and sign the contract.

”The last wish left by my mentor requires me to inherit the will of the Elemental Wizards.”

Green spoke in a deep tone, feeling guilty for rejecting the generous terms once offered by the First-Circle True Spirit Wizard for direct stigmata.

The Immortal Body talent of the Nightmare Wizard once helped Green avoid several fatal disasters.

Yet, as this talent fades following Green’s ascension to a Stigmata Sorcerer, with the increase in life level, the Nightmare Power has not grown accordingly. It seems this talent has become practically useless; just one death would reduce Green to a spiritual power below 200, a waste.

Moreover, as Green’s life level continues to strengthen, the Nightmare Power may soon fail even to launch the Immortal Body once.

”Forget it; it’s the sorcerer’s path you chose. What brings you to see me now? You should be able to feel that things aren’t developing well here.”

Green was seated on a rainbow chair woven by the tri-color fairy tale rules.

”I’ve come to ask the master for help in rescuing someone. I want to take him as my second disciple, and as a reward, he will become the future Second Circle True Spirit Wizard of the Nightmare World!”

Oh!?

The eyes moved away from the ”Tooth Fairy Tales” book, the sacred fairy tale book transformed into countless tri-color sprites, dispersing and merging into the walls of the Holy Tower, disappearing.

”Interesting, tell me what’s happening.”

Were it not for Green having already become a Stigmata Sorcerer, the First-Circle True Spirit Wizard’s first reaction might have been to think Green had gone mad.

”Master still remembers the Ancient Wizard, the Stigmata Great Wizard of Black Isotta from the same era at the Seventh Ring Holy Tower, right?”

”Black Isotta? You mean Soul Bridal Dress Andemo, don’t you?”

The First-Circle True Spirit Wizard chuckled: ”It’s not wrong to say she was from my era. Her soul mystery is quite peculiar. Fallen in the Ancient war, thousands of years later, I heard from an old friend she was reborn as Black Isotta, utterly unheard-of soul sorcery. I even visited once, immensely shocked at the time; after rebirth, she understood the Path of the True Spirit better. I even thought she’d find the Path of the True Spirit before me...”

Soul Bridal Dress Andemo?

This was Green’s first time hearing the name of the ancient wizard reincarnated as Black Isotta.

”Ah, yes, I’ve found Black Isotta’s reincarnation through special means, but I’m facing some trouble and need the master’s assistance.”

And so, Green conveyed all the information about Black Isotta to the First-Circle True Spirit Wizard.

A lengthy silence.

”Reincarnated as a mermaid, and after so many years, if this is true, it seems the soul mystery of the Soul Bridal Dress has reached its limit. This could be her last chance to strike at the Path of the True Spirit.”

Saying this, the First-Circle True Spirit Wizard looked at Green.

”That Mermaid Queen is quite troublesome. To snatch something from her, a price must be paid; otherwise, it’s almost impossible. But if it truly is the third reincarnation form of the Soul Bridal Dress, the price, whatever it may be, would be worth it. Green, how certain are you?”

Green stood up from the rainbow chair.

”One hundred percent certain! Master, he carries more human blood, which can be used as a breakthrough point for negotiation.”

...

Twenty-five years later.

Within the Secret Realm Void Mothership of the Oblivion Tower, Green sat sipping tea. Opposite him, Cappuccino and Black Isotta stood respectfully.

In just over a decade, under the guidance of Cappuccino, Black Isotta had gradually adapted to the life of a human wizard apprentice, gaining a new life with his father Taliman and mother Ripple, both stationed at the Oblivion Tower Academy.

Yet the childhood darkness seemed like an indelible memory, etched deep in Black Isotta’s eyes.

”Mentor.”

”Mentor.”

The two greeted respectfully.

”Well, the reason I called you over this time is to commend Cappuccino for these past hundred years of academy achievements—eleven qualifiers for the Holy Tower contest, well done.”

Being praised, Cappuccino was delighted, feeling very pleased.

”Mentor, why don’t you let the junior join the academy, nor allow him to delve into deeper Elemental Wizard knowledge to ascend as an official wizard? Had he competed in this Holy Tower qualification battle, the academy could have had twelve spots. Given his ability, he might even clinch first place in the Arena of Contention, ensuring promotion to the sorcerer rank!”

Cappuccino questioned, puzzled, even raising his head to look at Green.

Over the years, Green has been guiding Black Isotta to inherit the wizard’s will, passing down direct teacher-student knowledge, and instructing on the exploration of Truth Mystery thinking, helping him onto the path of a qualified wizard. Meanwhile, Cappuccino, as a senior, teaches him some basic wizard knowledge, with the two sharing a very harmonious relationship.

”The Oblivion Tower Sorcerer Academy is soon to be officially inaugurated, and with the civilization war on the horizon, the Wizard World strictly prohibits academy wars, so I plan to proceed to the Parasitic Spore World to complete a long-term experiment after the ceremony ends. This time, I’ve called Black Isotta over to make arrangements for him.”

After pausing, Green solemnly proclaimed, ”Black Isotta, I’ve already enrolled you in the Claw of Fear Sorcerer Academy at the First Ring Holy Tower. You will from now on gain the Nightmare Wizard Hunter Talent and embark on the Nightmare Wizard path. Remember, you must achieve the rank of Stigmata Sorcerer. For you, whether an Elemental Wizard, Abyss Refining Body Sorcerer, Mechanical Wizard, or Nightmare Wizard, it’s merely a process. Your goal is solely the Path of the True Spirit.”

”Yes, mentor!”

Black Isotta lowered his head in response. (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, feel free to visit Qidian () to vote for recommendations and monthly tickets, your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please read at m..)
