A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 982: Chapter 974: Level 5 Bone Remains

One month later.

Among the three domains of the main continent of the Parasitic Spore World, the Domain of Fern is the most vast and grand, with Fern Overlord City being the strongest region center gathering the mightiest force of this world.

Above the Sea of Life.

Watching the Fern Overlord City, which has become a complete ruin and where not even a towering giant tree can be found anymore, Green tries to sense the state of the Taro Man but to no avail. He sighs at the looming panic over Fern Overlord City, ”It’s already been a month and even this city has become a complete ruin. What is it still holding onto?”

Beside him, the Arc Thundercloud Stigma Sorcerer transforms into three beams of white-bearded old wizard, with hair crackling incessantly, thunder roaring, leaning on a pitch-black magic wand, resembling a thundercloud.

”So many World Guardians and World Masters have died, despite the vastness of the world, where can it retreat to?”

At this moment, Green and Arc Thundercloud are standing on the corpse of a giant kelp monster, seven or eight kelp monsters stretching several kilometers, a corpse of a World Master of considerable value.

Splosh!

The Steel Body Stigmata Sorcerer rises from the Sea of Life, landing beside the Arc Thundercloud Stigma Sorcerer, a surge of magic power shakes off the water droplets almost instantly.

”No way, it’s impossible to open, the shackle is guarded by the will of the entire Parasitic Spore World. It seems there’s a big secret hidden behind it; these kelp monsters were so strong likely because of this shackle.”

”My plant slave is exploring inside on his own, not sure what he’ll find, contact has completely been lost now.”

Green seems equally unaware of the information here, as if sending the Taro Man in was just an accident.

The Arc Thundercloud Stigma Sorcerer glances at Green seriously, ”Then we’ll have to wait till we completely control this world and come back to explore.”

Crackle!

With roaring thunder, the Arc Thundercloud Stigma Sorcerer elemental teleports towards Fern Overlord City and vanishes.

”Such a hurry!”

Steel Body grumbles, sensing towards Fern Overlord City, ”After all, it’s a Sixth Level existence continuously depleting its source power, a bit troublesome indeed. But with the majority of the World Masters and World Guardians dead over there, this battle should end, and the entire world be conquered.”

During these days, Green’s Saint Trace Soul, nourished by the souls continually drawn by the Stigmata Sorcerer of Soul-devouring Kiss, has grown by about ten percent, quite remarkable.

However, the soul purification burden from the frequent soul devouring has slowed down the process somewhat, though in comparison, the devouring degree is vastly different from Green’s Black Devouring Flame Soul Giant Elemental Body soul devouring talent.

”For such a long and drawn-out battle, this once valuable plant city is now ravaged beyond repair, truly a pity. Otherwise, with this city concentrating the essence of the whole world, its value could rival some small barren worlds.”

Green’s voice is tinged with regret.

”There’s no other way.”

Steel Body Stigmata Sorcerer replies.

In the distance on the now calm sea surface, over a dozen weak plant people row wooden boats, fleeing the ruins of Fern Overlord City, the once towering forest stretching thousands of miles is now left with devastation and burning flames, everywhere are the threatening minions of the Foreign Domain Demon King running rampant.

A few days ago, as Green and several Stigma Sorcerers unleashed upon the kelp monsters and World Guardians of the Parasitic Spore World on the Lake of Life, wind and clouds surged, waves roared, naturally no plant person dared to pass by these fearsome creature battlefields emitting world-ending destructive power.

Now the battle has ended, the Lake of Life has returned to tranquility, with some plant people attempting to flee from here in little numbers.

But to where can they escape?

Ultimately, they cannot evade the fate of enslavement.

The two Stigma Sorcerers disregard these low-level creatures, quietly awaiting time’s passage...

...

Two years later.

In the Domain of Male Fern, the once sunny sky above a moderately sized plant people city, with the appearance of a roaring Screaming Cockroach Slave Monster Corps in the distance, is instantly enveloped in a shadow of unease and panic, the plant people cried out, fleeing as if it were the End of Days.

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...

Thousands of grotesque monsters descended from the sky, driven by the killing instinct of soul blood, they mercilessly destroyed any force daring to resist.

Over the past two years, news of the evil invasion of Wizard World has spread through the Parasitic Spore World like a plague.

The plant people of this small city initially thought they would escape the disaster, only to find the calamity so abrupt.

The world is weeping, already stripped of its resisting force, it can only sob under the minions of the Wizard’s Will, weakening until fully conquered.

”Get lost, you clumsy creature.”

A shadow rebukes a Bear-headed Monster ahead, the ten-meter-high creature in the midst of destruction turns its head, the pair of crimson eyes immediately clear upon seeing the rebuking figure, quickly scared away.

Shush, shush, shush, shush...

A large contingent of Screaming Cockroaches silently spread, escorting the central Mist Soul-Harvesting Crab, entering this plant people city steadily.

The shadow glances around, finding no plant people in sight, only the distant scattered screams progressively forming a wizard figure, holding a magic wand in one hand and a peculiar mirror in the other, respectfully gazing towards the white mist encapsulating the Mist Soul-Harvesting Crab.

”Master, we’ve arrived at the Ice Peak Tombstone.”

This person is Green’s confidant, Night Shadow Sachi, having received Green’s Dream-entering Mirror reward, becoming more loyal to Green.

Up ahead, a modest stone slab standing only one meter high, surrounded by dying vegetation.

Silently, Green appears before the monument, underneath the Face of Truth, his dual-colored eyes flicker.

”It’s said that among the numerous worlds once friendly with this world, there’s one called Glacier World. As a testimony of friendship between the two worlds, a powerful Glacier Summoner who often communicated across worlds buried his greatest glacier summon here. Although the burial is relatively recent, with its World Master life essence coupled with ice rule characteristics, it likely retains considerable value, though it’s been a long time since contacting that Bone Demon World friend...”

Suddenly, a beam of emerald energy arrow shoots swiftly, targeting Green and vanishing instantly!

”How dare you!”

Night Shadow Sachi roars, a black shadow forms a menacing ghost face in the sky, a roar disperses the swift arrow attack, with Sachi vanishing the next moment pursuing the assailant.

Pacifying the agitated Screaming Cockroaches from all directions, amidst the Slave Monster Corps surrounding him, Green mutters with keen interest, ”Oh? Seems this historical treasure excavation truly yields something, hahaha, seems Xiao Ba lost the bet.”

Recalling the joke bet with Xiao Ba before departure, Green chuckles.

A command for excavation issues forth, and immediately, the surrounding cockroaches commence rapid digging around the tombstone.

Shortly after, by Green’s side, Night Shadow Sachi throws a Second Level Plant Person corpse beside him, Green pays it no mind, simply patiently awaiting the excavation outcome, with the Mist Soul-Harvesting Crab’s enormous figure also looking towards the ever-deepening pit.

Hiss...

Suddenly, frost breath spews from the ground, instantly freezing a dozen Screaming Cockroaches into ice sculptures.

Green’s dual-colored eyes gazing ahead, seeing a colossal beast skeleton over several hundred meters, revealing the tip of an iceberg, showcasing its once unmatched might.

”Level Five Creature...” (to be continued. If you like this work, you’re welcome to to vote for recommendations and monthly votes. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please go to m. to read.)
