A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 969: Chapter 661: Pillar of Heaven

Gulp, gulp, gulp...

”It seems that when the Master of the Plant People still existed in the Parasitic Spore World, there were attempts to develop some kind of alien civilization technology, but ultimately it ended in failure. After all, this approach was not suitable for the evolutionary path of the plant people.”

The ancient city-states, located beneath the Pillar of Heaven, were still quite substantial in scale.

However, as time passed, they became buried underground, yet they still exhibit certain unique functions designed against the plant people.

Numerous plant people groups were throwing crystals with fire attribute energy into crude energy boilers, seemingly collecting steam thermal energy. It is indeed a rather primitive way of energy utilization.

Green, disguised as a Foul Flower, blended inconspicuously within the Underground Ancient City of Kanoman Valley.

......

Beneath the Pillar of Heaven.

”The Oblivion Source Avatar left there should barely hold for an hourglass time, Xiao Ba keeps urging, it’s so annoying.”

Looking up at the towering Pillar of Heaven piercing the clouds, in True Time, Green vanished in a flash, shooting towards the top of the Pillar of Heaven.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, as Green flew a certain distance along the Pillar of Heaven, a vine extended from it to intercept him.

Remarkably, the vine could sense Green moving in True Time, indicating that it had acquired some power from the Pillar of Heaven. This Pillar of Heaven is not simple!

”Halt your step, Foul Flower, proceeding forward is forbidden here.”

Crackle!

With a Blink, Green decided to bypass this vine that sprouted from the Pillar of Heaven, without launching an attack, fearing it might trigger some alert mechanism on the Pillar of Heaven, attracting back the World Guardian who had just left.

Beep, beep, beep, beep...

Remarkably, this vine burst forth with numerous black seeds, emitting strange sounds, chasing after Green, but they were gradually left far behind under Green’s True Time.

”Intruder! Intruder! Intruder!”

Green burst through the clouds above, entering the Chaos Layer, startling three seemingly ordinary cloud clusters awake.

Subsequently, these mist-like cloud clusters rushed towards Green, it turned out they were World Guardians, though their level hadn’t reached the Fourth Level, belonging to the lowest class of World Guardians.

”The alarm was still triggered, above is the Eye of the World, it takes about a tenth of an hourglass time from the underground ancient city to here, the Spacetime Altar requires an hourglass time to ignite and cannot be interrupted by any external force, as for these three low-level Guardians...”

Three cloud clusters, one lightning cloud, one fire cloud, and one frost cloud, each in shades of black, red, and blue, chased after Green as he quickly charged towards the Eye of the World node at the top of the Pillar of Heaven.

Green realized that the material of this Pillar of Heaven was not naturally formed, definitely not a product of this world’s natural rules.

The material of the Pillar of Heaven was as hard as metal, yet not metal, with a color like white marble, yet extremely smooth, seemingly harboring some energy guiding devices inside, much like certain high-level altar functions of the Wizard World.

Similar to... the Source of Magic Power of a Sorcerer’s Tower.

”Don’t think you can advance any further here! Intruder from a Different World, reveal your true body, I have sensed this world’s rejection of you!”

A big red strawberry appeared, exuding a Third-level Creature Aura, declaring with righteous Soul Will, yet Green found it hard to take it seriously, its luscious color instead ignited Green’s great appetite!

Green realized that, rather than saying these three strange clouds and this big strawberry were Guardians of the Parasitic Spore World, it would be more accurate to call them Guardians of the Pillar of Heaven, deriving all their power from this Pillar of Heaven.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, Green broke free from the attack range of this big red strawberry, with a sound of ”poof,” Green, revealing his human form, stabbed the extreme abyss magic staff into this one-meter-large strawberry, juice splattering, with its wound freezing instantly.

”Ah...! What are you doing!?”

Green’s body swelled to over thirty meters, transforming into a Barbarian Giant, revealing a vicious grin with a big mouth lined with long fangs.

”Juicy and tender, I can’t wait any longer, ahm, crunch, crunch, crunch...”

The Barbarian Giant used the extreme abyss magic staff, which did not enlarge along with him, as a toothpick to shove the Guardian Strawberry of the Pillar of Heaven into his mouth, chewing with visible enjoyment, especially when he first closed his mouth to chew, the juice squirting from the Barbarian’s mouth and the strawberry’s screams from the perspective of this world’s plant people were horrifically cruel, like their worst nightmare!

”Strawberry King! Ah... the evil and cruel invader from another realm, kill him!”

The red fire cloud charged towards Green, the sound of ”crack, crack,” continuously accompanied the explosive noises around. Green, partially revealing his power aura, quickly endured an intense pressure from the Parasitic Spore World, yet remained unmoved, leaping straight to the top of the Pillar of Heaven.

Crackle!

Black lightning arcs pulled light from all around, the sky suddenly dimmed and then returned to brightness. Following that terrifyingly intense assault, half the body of the fire cloud chasing after Green vanished without a trace, as if it had been completely eradicated by some force, while the other half remained intact.

At the first moment, the Barbarian Giant looked toward the top platform of the Pillar of Heaven, focusing his sight on a lotus leaf in the central clear pond, with an intriguing gray energy beneath the pond supporting this zero-zero lotus leaf, energy textures clearly visible.

”This is... an Artificial Eye of the World!?”

Green was astonished by his own discovery.

No wonder it’s called the Endless Dominator, the significance of the Pillar of Heaven lies in artificially creating an Eye of the World to allow the Parasitic Spore World to achieve more perfect evolution.

Undoubtedly, this lotus clear pond is the Eye of the World of the Parasitic Spore World.

”Ah... leave the Holy Relic alone!”

The fire cloud swooped down, but the Barbarian Giant merely chuckled coldly, gathering stronger counterattack forces while slicing open the Dimensional Gap, retrieving a severely damaged Spacetime Altar due to two failed ignition attempts.

Fearing that this Spacetime Altar might not withstand a third failure.

......

”The ancient city relic left by the King Ferns provides us with Karnorman Valley... hmm!?”

The Lone Cold Pine World Guardian, engaging in selfless education for the many plant people gathered there, suddenly sensed something, with energy barytes ”crackling” in the crude furnaces. In the underground relics, the Lone Cold Pine’s expression dramatically changed, disappearing on the spot.

However, in the next moment, a roar was heard!

”Who are you!?”

It turned out, a Foul Flower was blocking the Lone Cold Pine World Guardian’s path, covered in frost on its verdant leaves, surrounded by buzzing flies. After some squirming, it transformed into a thirty-meter Barbarian Giant.

Due to the confined space of the underground ancient city, even the Barbarian Giant transformed from the third layer of Wild Instinct could only crouch within the passage space, incidentally crushing a few Foul Flowers.

”Ah! Monster...”

”Don’t panic, the World Divine Tree is here!”

Crack, crack...

The rough arm of the Barbarian Giant braced against the rocky corridor, yet due to the inadvertent outpour of formidable Strength, hot steam surged forth.

”Hehehehe, of course, I am an intruder, you can call me the Oblivion Sorcerer.”

The Oblivion Source Avatar sneered, sealing the retreat path entirely. (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, please vote for it on with recommendation and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please read on m..)
