A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 965: Chapter 957: Karnorman Valley

Three years later.

A foul flower wandered on the ocean floor.

Green disguised himself with the Source of Oblivion and used the self-sealing technique to lower his own magic fluctuation to the minimum. Coupled with the fact that wizards, as beings who leverage intricate energy knowledge to manipulate higher rules, have relatively weak energy responses compared to other creatures of the same level, Green almost minimized the world’s power rejection against him to the lowest point.

If he doesn’t engage in battles with beings like the Eight Eon Giant Serpent, even a World Guardian wouldn’t be able to sense this foreign invader from a certain distance.

Thus, Green wandered in the oceans of the Parasitic Spore World for three years, investigating over twenty world nodes, testing two, both ending in failure. Today, he arrived at a place called Karnorman Valley.

As a part of the continental extension, the impact of ocean currents here follows a cycle of seven hundred and fifty years: three hundred seventy-five years belonging to the continent, and another three hundred seventy-five years submerged beneath the sea. Only one Ancient Sky-reaching Pillar eternally stands tall, reaching into the clouds, as one of the ancient ruins of this world.

Now, Karnorman Valley serves as land, and after over a hundred years of development, the plant people have built a vast and prosperous city around the Pillar, a scale dozens of times the size of Ocean Pearl City, making it one of the largest cities, second only to the Domain Governor’s City.

Splash!

”This feeling... Eye of the World!?”

Just as the foul flower’s head emerged from ocean depths, Green intuitively detected through the weakened world spacetime nodes here their distinctiveness. The spacetime nodes felt similar to the characteristics of the Eye of the World, like those at East Coral Island Zerato Seaport in Wizard World.

This medium-sized world surprisingly also possesses an Eye of the World node, which made Green slightly excited.

The Eye of the World’s random communication ability rides on the rules of world origin and is one of the weakest points of spacetime in a world. Except for very special rules, a small world typically won’t develop Eye of the World functionality.

”Perhaps through research here, my communication witchcraft in spacetime can be further enhanced...”

Thinking this, Green silently left the seawater and headed towards Karnorman Valley, attracting flies ”buzzing”, ”buzzing”, ”buzzing” over from afar, hovering around him due to the foul flower aura he had transformed into.

”But the most crucial thing now is to accurately locate the Eye of the World and then activate the second Spacetime Altar.”

......

Drip!

As Green stepped into Karnorman Valley, atop the small platform of the Pillar of Heaven, a drop of water fell into the lotus pan on the platform.

”Strange, there were no traces of energy sacrifices linking to a Different World, yet what just caused the special reaction of the Eye of the World?”

In confusion, the Lone Cold Pine World Guardian squeezed out a drop of green sap from its green branches, which again fell onto the lotus pan with a ”drip”, but did not show any special reaction.

......

”Verdant Bathing Essence, dear foul flower, please take a look!”

On the bustling street, a Morning Glory plant person pulled Green along, promoting the green liquid filled in shell containers, emanating a rich life aura, capable of increasing one or two physique points for wizard apprentices, yet completely negligible for Green.

Buzzing, buzzing, buzzing, buzzing...

Other plant people deemed the flies hovering around the foul flower as a natural occurrence. Such accompanying organisms are prevalent in the Parasitic Spore World, unmarred by the human judgment of beauty or moral disdain found in Wizard World, seeing flies as simply one part of nature’s ecosystem without notions of beauty or evil.

Transformed into the three-meter tall foul flower, Green glanced at the one-meter tall Morning Glory little fellow,

Plant people also have genders, and this was a young girl who had just acquired the ability to receive pollen. Attracted by Green’s strong aura, she voluntarily followed in hopes of obtaining some of Green’s flies’ pollen.

”I’m heading to the Mud Bath Park, you’re responsible for guiding me, these ocean floor muds as payment.”

In the Parasitic Spore World, fertile soil is a common trade currency among plant people, whose value varies with its rarity.

”Alright!”

The Morning Glory girl led Green with small steps; as a foul flower exuding Second-Order Creature aura, Green was quite a rare powerhouse in this city, attracting numerous plant people’s attention, nodding greetings, and even among some secretly attempting to use various methods to entice the flies around Green to them.

Bloop, bloop, bloop...

A gigantic mud pool bubbled ceaselessly, laden with a nauseating rotten egg smell, but for the plant people regarded as sheer blissful indulgence, only the strong and wealthy plant people are entitled to enjoy this famed Mud Bath Park in Fern’s Domain.

”Sir, ahead is the Mud Bath Park, but I don’t have the qualifications to enter yet.”

The Morning Glory girl said regretfully, revealing that the hierarchical divisions among plant people in the Parasitic Spore World were also quite apparent.

”Hmm.”

Having paid the Morning Glory girl, she reluctantly left.

Many plant people dislike hybrid offspring; thus, this young girl yet to breed a progeny felt a profound regret, saved only hoping to encounter a strong Morning Glory plant person in the future.

”Is that the Pillar of Heaven? The Eye of the World rule unexpectedly is in mid-air. Seems a strategic plan is required, as this city’s defense force is not weak, and if above lies a World Master or Guardian, direct conflict would pose no real opportunity.”

A peculiar stone pillar stretched skyward.

Basking every part of the body in mud, savoring the foreign charm, the surrounding bizarre plant people wore expressions of pure enjoyment.

”First time visiting Karnorman Valley?”

While Green mused, a voice reached him, and upon turning, he was slightly astonished to find another slightly smaller foul flower; the feminine aura from the other was so alluring that the numerous flies around Green began reacting, releasing a potent allure.

Similarly, this First Level foul flower seeing such a strong foul flower as Green was innately drawn.

”Indeed.”

Green nodded; different from the feminine foul flower, Green, in essence, a wizard, displayed profound calmness, perhaps implying disdain due to her lower level, not willing to pollinate with her.

”In a few days, my father will represent the foul flower clan here, proceed to the Underground Ancient City to offer tribute. Karnorman Valley has never seen such a mighty foul flower as you; if you accompany him, you might receive a meeting with the Lone Cold Pine Guardian God-Tree, interested?”

What!?

The Guardian will leave the Eye of the World for a while?

Seems this is a golden opportunity! (To be continued. If you enjoyed this work, you are welcome to vote for it on with recommendation or monthly votes; your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users can read at m..)
