A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 979: Chapter 971: Minions and Underlings

”After such a long time of hard work, let’s leave this for them to handle.”

Green murmured to himself, gradually retracting his Elemental Embodiment, revealing the image of a human wizard enveloped in Seven-Colored Runes.

Slowly regenerating his Magic Power, he strolled through the sky battlefield, where clashes of combat occurred in every direction, with one Phantom Skull Head after another gliding across the long clouds of panic.

”Cackling, the Soul-devouring Kiss is currently fighting the Guardian over there, oh, there’s a big guy hidden beneath the lake below.”

Xiao Ba stood on Green’s shoulder, overlooking the chaotic battlefield, where aside from the Fern Giant Tree suppressed by Panic Boiling, there were several other powerful beings.

If we add the numerous World Masters led by the viscount king that once invaded the Spirit People World, and the fully revived Parasitic Spore World, even with the combined strength of the wizards Green summoned, it might be nearly impossible to invade.

Crackling!

The rift in the world exploded with thunder, accompanied by joyful laughter – the Thundercloud Arc Stigmata Sorcerer descended, though it was uncertain which Stigmata followed through the passage.

But none of that mattered now.

The two-colored gaze under the Face of Truth penetrated through a distant cloud of panic, spotting a small battlefield where seven or eight Slave Monsters and a dozen Plant People were fighting.

Being completely unfamiliar with Fern Overlord City, Green urgently needed to gather basic information here.

So, taking a step, progressing within True Time, in the astonishing speed close to residual shadows among these low-level creatures under the surface of light and time, he arrived beside the seven or eight Slave Monsters, quietly standing.

If not noticed, Green seemed to have appeared out of thin air, silently and without a trace.

”Greetings great Stigmata Sorcerer of the Oblivion Tower!”

The only Third-Level Creature, an amber mosquito, recognized Green.

Even though it had just been formidable, at such close range, the nearly tangible Wizard’s Will of the Stigmata Sorcerer made the transparent mosquito with a body length of one meter shiver, prostrating in the sky, not daring to look directly at Green.

The other First-Level and Second-Level Slave Monsters gathered around the amber mosquito, with varied sizes, had sustained injuries. Having just been roaring and battling ferociously, they stood dumbly still as the human wizard’s silhouette suddenly appeared beside them, apparently stunned by some strong aura or inner fear, not daring to move.

Simple-minded for slaughter and slave consciousness, they even lacked the posture for salutation, standing foolishly.

”Are you their leader?!”

The Plant People suddenly noticed a mysterious monster of unprecedented form appearing on the opposite side, seemingly less ferocious yet incredibly mysterious, and as soon as it appeared, these previously fierce monsters behaved as if encountering a natural enemy, becoming utterly helpless in fear.

Most likely, this bipedal enigmatic being was akin to the high-ranking rulers comparable to the fern plant people in the Parasitic Spore World!

The Plant People speculated silently based on their knowledge.

The dozen Plant People, all elite with formidable strength, would have faced death had these Slave Monsters not had the support of Panic Cloud.

The Plant Person questioning Green resembled a taro, appearing clumsy yet being remarkably powerful. Upon the Green Truth Mask’s vitality scan, the number 4412 was obtained, far surpassing the amber mosquito’s 3766 vitality.

No wonder the amber mosquito, despite having Panic Cloud support, was always at a disadvantage.

1784, 1992, 977, 2663, 3122, 1456, 4412, 2355...

Quietly standing still, after surveying each Plant Person with his gaze under the Face of Truth, each one felt their secrets exposed completely in Green’s eyes, overwhelmed by a ’naked’ sensation that was truly unbearable.

”Quack, quack, quack, it’s this big taro, isn’t it? We can roast it when we’re done.”

With Xiao Ba’s laughter, Green confirmed his target.

This Third-Level Taro Plant Person with vitality of 4412 was surely the strongest among them, and Green’s quest for secrets might only find clues from him.

Whoosh!

Walking within True Time, Green seemed to glide like a series of shadows, with an unfathomable speed. Before having too much reaction, with a wave conjured tens of thousands of degrees in attack, crushing these Plant People as World Master high-level life forms.

Only half-filled frantic screams were heard continuously.

Finally, this last remaining Taro Man possessing about four-eighteenths of Half-step Chronos Perception, fled in terror, attempting to reunite with a legion of tens of thousands of Plant People several kilometers away, seeking aid from the World Divine Tree, only to be pulled back by a cold smile and an unimaginable gravitational bind from Green’s right hand holding the extreme abyss magic wand.

Puff...

The desperate counterattack of the steaming Taro Plant Person merely caused slight ripples across the self-sealed Seven-Colored Runes of Green.

Indeed, even as a human being, Green’s defensive power from Body Refinement was simply untouchable by this Taro Man.

Crack, crack, crack!

The body was encased in solid ice, preventing further struggles from the taro hindrance.

”Submit to the great Wizard’s Will, and you shall be reborn!”

Opening his mouth, Green unleashed a Ghost Face-like Stigmata Soul Flame toward the taro man, first receiving fierce resistance, then painful struggles followed by convulsions in a familiar process Green had seen countless times, ordinary for him.

”You all come too.”

After ordering the Slave Monsters behind him, Green floated with a mass of ice by his side, silently descending to Fern Overlord City, which suffered devastation and waves in war.

The few monsters surrounded Green, awaiting new instructions.

Towering pine trees were seen everywhere, touching the sky.

Vines interconnected between giant trees forming suspension bridges, within tree holes, and tree houses lived innumerable primitive Plant People.

Currently, most Slave Monsters were battling Plant People Legions above, with only a small division descending into the city, swiftly eradicated by the guard forces, keeping the street surface quiet, only faintly hearing apocalypse-like battle sounds high above, occasionally noticing monster or Plant People bodies falling from the sky.

Through the perspective of Truth Mask’s probing senses, Green knew a considerable number of Plant People had already detected him but it was inconsequential, as these were feeble lives, insignificant.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

In comparison to Green, these Slave Monsters were more terrifying in the eyes of low-level Plant People, with sporadic attacks of varying strength targeting these monsters.

Roar!

The Blazing Rhino was subjected to relentless attacks, furiously surrounded by buzzing noises akin to a swarm of flies, growing agitatedly red in the eyes, stood up like a human being!

Flames erupted from the weak gaps in the skin armor, randomly attacking the surroundings, occasionally knocking down a couple of relatively short trees, forcing some screaming Plant People to flee from tree holes, subsequently captured curiously by Green’s surrounding monsters and then swallowed in bites, crunching loudly.

The Second-Level Flame Rhino was merely an insignificant low-level being Green could crush, a vile slave, yet to this low-level Plant People civilian area, it was a horrific apocalypse envoy, a Demon King’s claw.

”Fool, do you want to die!”

The parasitic spore blood’s Immortal Plant Transformation feature initially caused some monsters to die from misreading as they began in the Spirit People World.

The amber mosquito bellowed at the horned demon beast gnawing on Plant People bodies, the thick-skinned horned demon beast continued chewing while saying, ”My kind is born in the harshest environments, and we’ve eaten everything. The toxic blood of these guys doesn’t affect us at all; it’ll be done when I urinate it out.”

The monster, also a Third-Level Creature, spoke carelessly. (To be continued. If you like this work, come to to vote for recommendations and monthly votes. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please read on m..)
