A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 994: Chapter 986: Heisuo

In the darkest depths of the water prison, he has no name.

”Mama, I’m hungry.”

The voice held no joy, no sorrow, just the most instinctive plea of life. The icy seawater warmed because of his presence, destiny granted him an Eternal Flame, as if it stemmed from a burning will, which was his only pleasure.

A hundred years have passed, which for humans is a lifetime, yet for mermaids, it is merely the transition from childhood to the edge of maturity.

Glug... glug...

The seawater boiled as he imagined the sunlight described by his mother, felt the warmth under the sun.

This is his innate Flame Power, even here in the depths of the divine realm’s darkest water prison, it stubbornly maintains its eternal burning will!

”My child, let me tell you the tale of Wizard Continent. Spring symbolizes vitality, summer is fiery, autumn means harvest, while winter is of ice and snow. There are countless foods there, strange beings competing, booming and thriving. Strong and mysterious wizards erected towering Sorcerer’s Towers, and under their protection, people live joyously, yearning for beauty and love...”

Solitary companionship, an elderly female mermaid chained down, gazed with hopeful light in her dark eyes, seemingly reminiscing about beautiful memories.

As she spoke, the elder mermaid’s tears unknowingly blended into the surrounding boiling water, gently caressing her child, her beauty undiminished by darkness and years, akin to the purest pearl deep in the sea.

”My child, if one day you leave the sea, never return. Forget your mermaid identity, it will bring you endless pain. You are a human, your father is Taliman from Third Ring Holy Tower Roaring Earth Sorcerer Academy. He is a ruler of this world; he is a wizard!”

Creaaak...

A sound of metal scraping came from afar.

The child in the elder mermaid’s arms was both nervous and expectant, straining to look towards the light.

The Mermaid Guards rode a kind of glowing fish from the seabed, extremely ugly, with something like a large lantern hanging from its forehead, and rapidly swam over being controlled by the most pure-blooded mermaid.

”Stigmata Sorcerer of the Oblivion Tower, that’s the Mermaid Ripple you’re looking for. She was already pregnant when brought here, and gave birth to a descendant with pure human lineage, possessing mysterious flame talent and the ocean’s blessing. The benevolent King Nabia didn’t kill him, but granted him the identity of a mermaid.”

The atrocious lantern fish, over ten meters long, stopped in front of a cage, as the powerful Level Five mermaid pointed at the two mermaids inside the cage, one female and one male.

”Purgatory Flame, that’s the scent of Purgatory Flame!”

A mysterious tiny figure covered in Seven-Colored Runes felt the boiling seawater around, its eyes beneath the Gray-White Mask, gazing at the young male mermaid. Trembling in excitement, disbelief mingling with its body.

Those cold and ruthless eyes, such boundless dark sinking atmosphere, await the cruel and violent amalgamation post-ancient memory return!

Shsss...

The ”Book of Truth” in his hand got browsed faster and faster, a strange black dot suddenly appeared, as if summoned by something, drifting towards the male mermaid clutching the cage.

The familiar aura belonged to the Black Isotta Illusionary Secret Realm, an Illusory World constructed by Heisuo Tower.

”Ah!?”

The accompanying Level Five mermaid wanted to block the Black Isotta aura hidden in the ”Book of Truth”, but was stopped by Green.

”Please let me verify, is this truly my child!”

Green’s loud cry made the Level Five Mermaid King beside him pause.

Then, this strand of Black Isotta aura seemed to welcome its rebirth, merging into the young male mermaid’s body. A sudden exclamation followed, as the tiny mermaid struggled in pain, astonishingly, his mermaid tail gradually transformed into human legs.

”If not for the mermaid blessing upon you, King Nabia would not have agreed to your visit. Now, the confirmation only adds to your sorrow. The humiliating history of the Mermaid Tribe must be washed away by our generation, and for that, some painful sacrifices are necessary.”

The Level Five Mermaid King sighed.

Gradually, the pain subsided for the boy absorbing the residual Black Isotta aura from the ”Book of Truth”. Curiously, he looked upon his legs and then slowly lifted his head to gaze at Green.

”Are you my father, Taliman the wizard?”

The little boy asked, filled with longing and desire, eager for an answer.

”Close your eyes and hold onto this.”

Green didn’t answer the boy, instead, he handed over a Crystal Ball, appearing in the boy’s hand in the water prison.

Instinctively, the boy obeyed Green’s words, slowly closing his eyes.

Buzz...

The data Green got from the Crystal Ball was simply incredible!

Test results: 40 points of wizard apprentice-level spiritual power, innate manifestation ability of Purgatory Flame, the sea’s blessing on the mermaids, and innate manifestation ability to interface with the Black Isotta Illusionary Secret Realm!

Despite falling beneath King Abaddon’s Infernal Furnace, resurrecting the Purgatory Flame as an innate ability?

And the Black Isotta Secret Realm, a ’Black Tower Stigma Wizard’ attempting the steps to achieve True Spirit, among which lies a high-grade treasure Void Star Meteorite as World’s Heart, indeed leaving some tricks within the ”Book of Truth”.

”Ripple, what’s this child’s name?”

Green asked the female mermaid.

After the initial panic, Ripple began to respond, looking at this incredibly powerful human wizard she had never seen, biting her lip yet unable to stifle sobs; was this a sorcerer sent by Taliman?

”He has no name.”

Ripple spoke.

Green retrieved the Crystal Ball, solemnly regarding the little boy, this nearly certain Heisuo Tower reincarnation mermaid.

The prior guidance by the ”Book of Truth” was for the soul’s generational reincarnation from Heisuo Tower’s father, it seems the reincarnation witchcraft not only possibly prevents Ascending Stigmata memory recovery danger but also has many other perils.

”Remember, from now on, you are called Heisuo.”

Green looked at the little boy.

”All the sufferings you’re experiencing now are mere illusions overlaying reality. Someday, you will become a powerful wizard to shudder the entire world. Wait for me here, never give up.”

After speaking, Green handed the little boy a book named ”Tooth Fairy Tales” and resolutely turned away.

The lantern fish carried Green and the Level Five mermaid back through one dark water prison after another to the sun-filled, warm sea realm.

”Oblivion Tower, offering him hope in such an environment, isn’t that a form of cruelty? It’d be better to let him lead a forgotten life carefree, at least he wouldn’t have to endure the agony of waiting.”

Next to Green, the Level Five mermaid thought Green was merely comforting his child.

Such occurrences have been witnessed numerous times; Green is not the first human wizard to visit this prison.

”Understood, thank you sir, this experience was fruitful. It feels like fulfilling a long-standing wish uncompleted all these years.” (To be continued.
