A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 960: Chapter 952: Bamboo Joint Thorns

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang...

The Black Flame Giant, over two hundred meters tall, walked step by step. To the elemental embodiment of the Black Devouring Flame Soul Giant, the treehouses of the Plant People were nothing more than sandcastle models built by children. Along the way, dozens of massive footprints were casually left between the treehouses, which continued to burn with blazing flames, melting the frozen surroundings.

The ice crystal trees that reached the chest height of the elemental embodiment Flame Giant leaned crookedly. For the lower Plant People, the scale of the Ocean Pearl City was not small, but for Green now, it was just a matter of a dozen steps before he reached the frozen waves by the sea.

”Oh? Are there still remnants?”

On the large lotus-shaped boats frozen on the ocean, a massive Foul Flower unfolded its petals, rescuing the Bamboo Joint Thorns that had sacrificed its own life to protect from the extreme cold domain attack.

At this moment, the tall and slender Bamboo Joint Thorns stood at the frozen crest of the last moment of the rolling waves, unable to believe its eyes, gazing in horror at the Ocean Pearl City that had become an icy hell, its body trembling uncontrollably, no words could express its feelings at this time.

The once vibrant city, in the blink of an eye, had only itself left!

Loneliness, fear, despair...

Bamboo Joint Thorns, at this moment, forgot about death, looking at the terrifying black flame figure over two hundred meters tall standing majestically at the island’s shore. The two large mouths on its chest and back—one crying, one laughing—emitted an unsettling, restless aura.

It was devouring the souls of the dead Plant People on the island.

”Evil monster, you might as well kill me too, or else the Fern King Lords of the Parasitic Spore World will surely make your corpse the most fertile ground in this world!”

Bamboo Joint Thorns roared, and thousands of bamboo leaves scattered from its body, layered like flying knives shooting towards the Black Flame Giant, accompanied by its defiant, frenzied roar and an ear-piercing sound as they cut through the air.

Swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish...

However, before these leaves could reach the elemental embodiment of the Black Devouring Flame Soul Giant, they were evaporated by the natural high temperature Green emitted, incapable of causing even the slightest harm to him.

Looking disinterestedly at this lower being, Green was about to casually erase this ant, but suddenly thought of something, and his hand holding the extreme abyss magic staff paused in mid-air.

”Hmm, fern plant people, as nobles of this world, should know quite a lot. Then I shall spare you.”

With that, Green’s magic power surged, and a vast Repulsion Attraction Dual Force erupted, confining the Bamboo Joint Thorns and the dozens of meters of glacier below it in mid-air. It was as if enveloped by a super restraining magnetic field, no matter how Bamboo Joint Thorns struggled, it couldn’t move even a pinky finger.

”Monster, what do you want, as the great fern plant people of this world, I will never submit to you, never!”

Seemingly trying to use shouting to cover its helplessness, Bamboo Joint Thorns was left with only this last means of resistance.

”Heh heh heh heh...”

The Black Flame Giant opened its mouth, revealing a ghostly face of a Soul Fire that appeared, grinning hideously and evilly, extending its long tail towards the Bamboo Joint Thorns suspended in the air.

...

In a violent struggle and convulsive trembling, Bamboo Joint Thorns awoke.

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...

Several giant fireballs fell from the sky, completely eradicating Ocean Pearl City in this Parasitic Spore World. Green, having restored his human form, was covered in seven-colored runes, leaning on the extreme cold magic staff, his dual-colored eyes under the gray-white spiral pattern mask gazing over, deep and filled with wisdom, full of mystery.

”Master!”

At this moment, Bamboo Joint Thorns, now Green’s soul slave, was fully submitted to the great Wizard’s will, no different from the thousands of monsters in the Soul Slave Legion.

”Hmm, tell me about the power divisions of this world...”

After several hourglasses of time.

Having generally understood the subordinate status of the oceanic domain in the Parasitic Spore World from Bamboo Joint Thorns, Green nodded. His form shifted, transforming into the appearance of the Foul Flower behind Bamboo Joint Thorns with a flash.

”Since you know nothing about some hidden specialties in the ocean, let’s find some special creatures here; they should know some clues.”

Special creatures?

As a fern plant person, a noble of the Parasitic Spore World, Bamboo Joint Thorns rarely ventured into the ocean, nor did it care much for those living in the barren ocean. In fact, this was its first time at sea!

After thinking for a while, Bamboo Joint Thorns suddenly remembered a location mentioned by the Foul Flower during its journey, and a thought struck it.

”Master, I know a place, it’s named the Boiling Sea, where an ancient plant, the Flame Algae, grows. Some strange creatures are said to be hidden there, it’s a famous perilous place in the Parasitic Spore World.”

The Boiling Sea?

The Foul Flower-formed Green nodded, saying blandly, ”Let’s go take a look.”

Green’s mission to stabilize the world rift was to light up the Spacetime Altar. Ordinary world nodes could not meet the conditions for illuminating the Spacetime Altar; only large world nodes could do so.

The Soul-devouring Kiss provided Green with the materials for three Spacetime Altars. If one could be lit, it would ensure the free entry and exit of a Fourth-Level Stigmata Wizard through the world passage; two would allow a Fifth-Level Stigmata Wizard to come and go as they pleased, and if all three were lit...

Splash! Splash!

Bamboo Joint Thorns and Green fell into the sea one after another, disappearing without a trace.

Seven days later.

”Is this the Flame Algae?”

A kind of red seaweed, shaped like a many-pointed starfish, continuously emitting astonishing heat into the seawater, making it boil. The oceanic creatures living here had extreme heat resistance, truly a rich biological specimen paradise!

After collecting some biological specimens, Green gradually sank to the seabed, taking out a set of materials for the Spacetime Altar.

Releasing a trace of terrifying pressure from within his body, the surrounding oceanic creatures scattered like birds startled by the twang of a bowstring, fleeing in all directions, while Green silently assembled the altar according to the method given by the Stigmata Sorcerer of the Soul-devouring Kiss.

Not knowing the specific operation method of the Spacetime Altar, Green made mistakes over a dozen times, and finally, half a month later, successfully assembled the altar. It resembled a strange octopus with many tentacles extended, its central area illuminated with a blue light, emitting mystery, a small mouth opened.

”Hmm, let’s see if this world node can connect to the altar in the Spirit People World.”

Green murmured in a low voice, casting a black flame filled with magic power toward the center of the altar, twisting the space, trying to connect with some mysterious sense.

”Master, there’s a reaction!”

Bamboo Joint Thorns murmured expectantly.

”Hmm.”

Under Green’s silent gaze, at the tip of the outer flame of the black fire, strange red lips appeared, stubbornly burning for a while, but ultimately they gradually extinguished, even causing some damage to the altar materials. It seemed that if it failed a few more times, it would be scrapped.

”Sigh, not working.”

Without much hesitation, in disappointment, Green put away all the altar materials, his dual-colored eyes scanning the area, searching for possible higher intelligent special creatures in this sea region.
