A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 973: Chapter 965: Devil’s Gamble?

”Repulsion!”

As Lone Cold Pine descended from above with a fierce momentum, it was nearly overwhelming until it was barely resisted by the Repulsion Sorcery triggered by Green’s extreme abyss magic staff held high.

Through the deep truth mystery research enhancement in the Earth Vein World, Green’s Repulsion is strong enough to lift a Space Fortress!

Such powerful sorcery, facing the unparalleled impact carried by Lone Cold Pine with World’s Power, the two grew increasingly close and repelled each other more and more. When the distance between them narrowed to a mere tens of meters’ limit, even Green’s Elemental True Body’s black flames began to dissipate on a large scale, accompanied by two crisp ”crack” sounds.

”Huh!?”

”This...”

The two crisp ”crack” sounds actually came from the bottom of the Spacetime Altar and the Eye of the World Spring!

The crisp cracking sound from the Spacetime Altar tightened Green’s heart. Due to two previous failures of igniting world nodes, the altar is greatly damaged and cannot withstand significant external forces.

As for the other cracking sound,

Once, the clear spring at the bottom of the Eye of the World lotus leaf seemed to have been attacked, so Green discovered some cracks. Now, after this shock’s aftermath, the cracks have expanded, spreading wider and deepened.

Meanwhile, a shallow will, craving the Spring of Life, surged forth.

Something deep underground connected to the Pillar of Heaven actually attempted to escape the forced constraints of the Parasitic Spore World.

The Eye of the World, once forcibly inserted into the Parasitic Spore World by King Ferns, now seemed as if it experienced the rejection of this world’s Metamorphosis Technique or Bloodline Sorcery, striving to break free from its bindings.

What exactly is this thing!?

While Green was tense over the Spacetime Altar, Lone Cold Pine, who was actively attacking, appeared visibly more nervous than Green after witnessing the cracks at the bottom of the Eye of the World Spring. Leveraging the repulsion pressure between them, Lone Cold Pine suddenly retreated several thousand meters with a ”whoosh” and stood in the sky.

The giant burning with over two hundred meters of black flame stood atop the Pillar of Heaven, gazing at the Lone Cold Pine World Guardian who was so formidable that it was hard for him to rival at this moment, and let out a weird smile.

”The Spacetime Altar is fully connecting to the Spirit People World; there are still two-thirds of an Hourglass remaining. How about we have a gamble?”

The Black Flame Giant suddenly spoke.

”Gamble? How do you want to gamble!”

Finding himself in a difficult situation, Lone Cold Pine asked in a low voice.

”It’s simple. I’m afraid the Spacetime Altar will get damaged, and you don’t want the Eye of the World left by the Fern Overlord to meet an accident. So let’s gamble with our lives, taking this world as the stake, betting as Evil World Destroyer and Righteous World Savior. Before life and death are decided, neither of us may damage the two key nodes. You have two-thirds of an Hourglass to kill me, alright?”

The Black Flame Giant’s voice started low and gradually became more and more vigorous, filled with devilish temptation, as the big mouths on his chest and back smirked and frowned, so sinister and full of ominous atmosphere.

Only those crazy, evil, powerful invading Evil Gods would dare to stake an entire world.

”Alright...”

Lone Cold Pine astonishingly agreed!

Having guarded the Eye of the World for nine thousand years, this is a crucial place in the Parasitic Spore World. Once, King Ferns paid too dearly for it, inheriting the world will, how could Lone Cold Pine bear to watch the Eye of the World suffer irreparable damage?

The overwhelmingly growing strength gave him unparalleled confidence.

All was for better protecting his world, and Lone Cold Pine is confident to tear apart this intruder within two-thirds of an Hourglass, not granting him any chance.

”Heh, hahaha, Guardian, you actually agreed to a pact with the devil, you’ve lost already...”

The Black Flame Giant slowly left the Pillar of Heaven while speaking mockingly in a victorious tone, displaying an utterly despicable attitude, which made Lone Cold Pine desire to tear apart the wicked intruder’s face immediately.

In all records, any form of cooperation with devils always ended in victory for the devils.

For these evil devils born from the world of intrigue and trickery always left themselves a hidden, undefeated route.

Humph...

With a disdainful smile, possessing absolute strength, seemingly holding absolute control over the situation, Lone Cold Pine watched Green slowly leave the true body of the Pillar of Heaven, aware that Green was intentionally stalling for trivial time, while his disdain grew.

Lone Cold Pine had his own plans too, a scheme to stand undefeated!

Nearly delayed for one-twentieth of an Hourglass time, the Black Flame Giant came face to face with Lone Cold Pine, leaving the attack range of the Pillar of Heaven, holding the extreme abyss magic staff on his shoulder, and solemnly looking at Lone Cold Pine.

”Have you stalled enough time? Then go die!”

Roaring, Lone Cold Pine gathered increasing World’s Power, growing increasingly adept at manipulating and controlling immense World’s Power, experiencing extraordinary enhancement every moment, exploding at this instant. Even prepared as Green was, he still was greatly shocked.

His level had reached a Fifth Level Creature, and was still deepening!

With Annihilation Force strengthening inside, Green met the attack with his powerful body as an Element Surge Body-refining Wizard, using the extreme abyss magic staff to evoke extreme cold, the staff’s top suddenly turned into a mountain of ice shooting forth, power enough to erase a human town.

Bang!

Ice shattered across the sky, sliding into beautiful arcs and falling from above.

The Black Flame Giant flew backward, but the attack only caused Lone Cold Pine to delay his next strike slightly.

”Hmph, so weak!”

Lone Cold Pine surged forward; a branch emitted vast green ripples, receiving the world will’s endless favor, even his insignificant gestures were unbelievably powerful now.

”Bah, kiddo, not playing with you anymore, True Demon Body!”

Raising the extreme abyss magic staff high, demonic qi surged into the body.

At the same time as this overt action, Green covertly adjusted the breath of Source of Oblivion, suddenly elevating his own life aura to its limit, an unbelievably frightening life level aura burst out, enough to reach Level-6 Peak!

In an instant, Lone Cold Pine empowered by World’s Power was terrified, feeling a doomsday behemoth standing in front, its shadow almost engulfing the world, the irresistible fear driving him to retreat over ten thousand meters in shock and doubt.

How could he be so powerful, even stronger than King Fern and the Six-Command Bipedal Winged Dragon King, peak beneath Dominators.

How is this possible!?

Gulp.

Green secretly swallowed hard.

He really bluffed the opponent, gaining some more precious time.

”Though transforming within this tiny world feels so cramped, for a little guy like you, I’ll spend some real force.” (To be continued. If you like this work, please go to to vote for recommendation or monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please go to m. to read.)
