A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 550: Assessment Over

The huge figure of Thousand-Eyed Carcinus surprised both Sorcerers and Sorcerer-Apprentices of the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy that had just been established hundreds of years ago and had a weak foundation.

Shoo! Shoo! Shoo! Shoo! Shoo…

Dozens of two-meter-long two-headed cobras flew over. They were the guardians of the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy.

“Grimm. Not bad, not bad.”

Peranos greeted from the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Tower. After dispersing the numerous academy guardians, he praised Grimm with a smile, apparently he already knew the results of the assessment.

“Master.”

On the Thousand-Eyed Carcinus, the man donning the gray-white Mask of Truth bowed his head slightly, as he saluted Peranos.

With a ‘whoo’, a scaled Abyssal Flying Dragon covered with black abyssal breath came from afar. It was Cameron, the second disciple of the fourth master.

“Third Master.”

After Cameron greeted Peranos, he looked at Grimm and said, “Grimm, how did you do that? Moth Frog Town has been developed to such an extent. I sneakily circled around there three years ago and it was unbelievable! ”

Grimm smiled.

The city managed by Cameron was behind Harmonia City, and its development was only average, with its population that had roughly tripled compared to that of fifty years ago.

Even further away, there were other Netherheart Sorcerer’s First Inherited Veins hurrying to the scene after their assessment was over. Peranos smiled and said, “Let’s go to the Hydra Wrath secret place.”

“Ok.”

“Yes, Third Master.”

After both Grimm and Cameron responded, Grimm let Thousand-Eyed Carcinus descend upon Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy, while Cameron’s Abyssal Flying Dragon gradually became smaller, shrinking into a small gecko, and scurried into Cameron’s ear.

Peranos did not ask about Vivian, and Grimm did not say much.

“Master, when will we go to the Underground Abyss? Oh yes, isn’t that kid, Muyi, about to go to the Underground Abyss Knights Perseverance Academy? He just said that, sooner or later, one day he will be like you.”

Little Myna whispered in Grimm’s ear.

The Underground Abyss World was a huge subsidiary space that was born in the Sorcerers World during the battle of the Ancient Abyss Civilization. As for the refined Sorcerers of the Underground Abyss, they were a new type of Sorcerer that Little Myna had never been in contact with before.

Little Myna had asked Grimm the question after seeing Cameron’s Abyssal Flying Dragon.

Grimm shook his head and did not speak. Because in Grimm’s plans, they had to travel to the Sky City to find and learn about the Eye of Microscopy before traveling in the Underground Abyss.

On the ninety-ninth floor in the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Tower.

“Stand properly, the Sorcerer Tower’s Mana Pool has not yet been formed. It needs a lot of Crystalized Energy Stones to pry open the Destiny Lever law which is a bit unstable.”

After saying so, Peranos activated the Altar Magical Array.

With a humming sound, both the squeezing and twisting of the space made Grimm feel extremely uncomfortable, but it was just a faint feeling. In comparison, Cameron felt much more uncomfortable.

“Woah! Grimm, I really doubt that I am an Elemental Sorcerer.”

Cameron said with a gasp while squatting.

“Caw, caw, caw, caw. My master, Grimm, has opened up the Level-2 Wild Instinct. Little guy, you have to work harder. Caw, caw, caw.”

Little Myna said proudly.

“What!? Your Level-2 Wild Instinct has been opened, no wonder…”

Although opening the Wild Instinct Layers did not represent the Sorcerers’ constitution and strength, opening a higher Wild Instinct Layer could greatly affect them.

Both Hydra Wrath and Black Isotta’s secret places were respectively world fragments shattered during the first Civilization War between the Sorcerer Civilization and the Bizarre Nightmare World Civilization during the ancient times. They were then attached around the Sorcerers World and was affected by the Sorcerers World’s laws.

The dark sky, the relics and plants of the Ancient Sorcerers World, the craters…

“Fly in this direction so you can reach the Hydra Mountain. You go ahead, I have to pick up other disciples.”

After saying so, Peranos disappeared and returned to the Sorcerers World’s Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Tower.

The Hydra Mountain was the highest peak in the Mysterious Realm of the Hydra Wrath. It was about four or five kilometers away.

On top of the mountain, in addition to a hundred-meter wide hall, there was a more-than-three-hundred-meter-tall giant tree with glaringly noticeable dazzling spiral vines on it. The giant tree was nothing, but these vines seemed to emit some kind of strange fluctuation. It was indistinctly a little mysterious, which made Grimm feel that these vines were sort of semi-real and semi-illusive.

He was clueless as to what kind of strange world had caused the birth of these plants.

Without stopping too much, both Grimm and Cameron entered the hall.

“Grimm!”

As soon as he entered the hall, he heard the call from Varro. Grimm nodded to Cameron and walked toward his second brother, Varro.

“Grimm, I really envy your Moth Frog City that is right next to the Doma River. My Sleepy Valiant City is half surrounded by the Large Shade Mountain, but it makes me so sad. By the way, I heard that you are going to build a sky port?”

Grimm nodded and said, “Well, almost half of it has been completed.”

Little Myna shouted, “Caw? You wanted to build a sky port, too?”

“Haha, not really. I already told my mentor that it is so meaningful to be a permanent city governor in the Sleepy Valiant City. I found some ancient ruins in Large Shade Mountain. My idea is that there is a type of bird in it. It’s called an ostrich goose, and I want to see whether I can domesticate it or not, and then sell it to Moth Frog City.”

Grimm was a little surprised that Varro intended to be a permanent city governor at both the Holy Tower of Six Rings and the Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy.

However, he was right. Varro was an Arcane Sorcerer after all. It was his obligation to run the Sorcerers World. Although most Arcane Sorcerers chose to contribute in the Sorcerer Tower, there were also laughably some Sorcerers who chose to build their own territories.

For example, Grandpa Krakatoa of the Eastern Coral Island.

“Heh heh, I think that the new governor of Moth Frog City is a thoughtful Sorceress-Apprentice. You can discuss with her.”

Grimm responded.

After more than ten hourglasses, many disciples of both the third and fourth generations of Netherheart’s First Inherited Vein had arrived.

With Hydra Wrath, Deidarion, Peranos, and Udon, the four second-generation masters, in place, the slim body of Grandmaster Netherheart holding the Gloomy Crescent Staff appeared.

“Ahem, ahem, ahem. From the looks of the results, everyone did well in this assessment.”

While speaking, Grandmaster Netherheart turned to Grimm.

“Especially Grimm, the third disciple of Peranos, who has actually planned to build a sky port. This may be of no use in the assessment results, but he is still building it. In this regard, his results have exceeded my expectations. Not bad, not bad! Ahem, ahem, ahem! Not bad!”

Obviously, Grandmaster Netherheart’s praise toward Grimm was from the heart.

After the announcement of the population growth assessment results, Grimm’s staggering assessment results of a tenfold increase in population had indisputably come in first place among the rest.

With Little Myna standing on his shoulder, Grimm held his Sabbatic Goat Staff excitedly and walked up to the high platform, receiving the “Grand Toxic Refinery” notes handed down by Grandmaster Netherheart.

“Grimm, you have actually decreased the negative impact of both the repulsive and attractive forces among Sorcerers. You are far more intelligent than I used to be. I didn’t think about enhancing my mentor, West Riverflow’s knowledge. Hush, hush. I hope that in the future, you will become an even greater Sorcerer like your Eldest Apprentice-Sister Quiet Spring.”

Grimm’s hands that were excitedly receiving the “Grand Toxic Refinery” halted. He looked up and saw the scarred face of Grandmaster Netherheart, he quickly lowered his head.

“Yes, I will follow your instructions.”

In the eyes of Grandmaster Netherheart, as in the past, Grimm himself was just the shadow of his Eldest Apprentice-Sister Quiet Spring…
