A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 551: Return to the Seven Rings

One year later.

In one year’s time, Grimm had finally crossed the Holy Tower of Six Rings, the wilderness between the holy towers, and was halfway through the Holy Tower of Seven Rings, returning to its ten-thousand-meter Tree of Life Defensive Barrier range.

By activating the Principal Will of the Sorcerers World, Grimm, while riding the Thousand-Eyed Carcinus, successfully managed to penetrate the interiors after creating a small ripple on the vast Tree of Life’s Defensive Barrier.

The enormous shadow of Thousand-Eyed Carcinus was casted on the ground, becoming one with both the many huge mechanical voidships and slave monsters in the sky, carrying Grimm and flying to his Demon-Hunter Castle.

In a year’s time, Grimm had finally learned both the knowledge and principles of Mixed Toxin Refinery, which was Grandmaster Netherheart’s improved Male Toxin Refinery, on the back of Thousand-Eyed Carcinus.

The Mixed Toxin Refinery of Netherheart’s First Inherited Vein was the knowledge core about a tiny parasitic organism called a lymph.

After being guided by a Sorcerer, this parasitic organism would gradually form a symbiotic relationship with the Sorcerer’s cells before forming a protective film on the outer layer. The knowledge principle of the Intoxication Sorcery would constantly stimulate this protective film throughout its evolution.

Grimm used the symbiotic insect Horsefly to affect the life code, accelerating the biological passive-adaptation characteristics, and allowing both the body cells and lymphs to double-evolve, thereby generating double effects. This was the outstanding achievement achieved by Grimm during his time as a Sorcerer-Apprentice, and also one of the reasons he was the highest ranking Sorcerer-Apprentice in the Holy Tower qualification battle.

Now that the Male Toxin Refinery had been improved, the knowledge core might still be a lymph, but the evolutionary method had vastly changed.

According to the knowledge research of the Mixed Toxin Refinery, a lymphoid organism, as a parasite, did not possess split reproduction, but bisexual reproduction which was divided into male and female.

The key point was here.

‘If you obey the lymph’s instincts, then the Sorcerer is based on the Female Toxic Refinery!’

In other words, a lymph possessed a female-centered way of survival and reproduction. This evolutionary way of survival and reproduction had been developed by Ancient Sorcerers because of its stability, and in turn invented the wonders of refinery knowledge.

But with the in-depth research by Grandmaster Netherheart, he had begun to feel dissatisfied with this stable evolutionary method.

Grandmaster Netherheart had found that this stable evolution might be stabilizing the lymphatic social structure, it was also covertly weakening a Sorcerer’s evolutionary speed!

A human whose abdominal muscles had the same strength as the muscles on the arms was obviously not as powerful as a human who strengthened the muscles on the arms and weakened the muscles on the abdomen.

The training of human Knights was exactly the way of self-training.

According to Grandmaster Netherheart’s calculated research, the most reasonable evolutionary method should be to adopt an autonomous decision-making evolution method within the body, letting the body instinctively adapt and choose, instead of an average evolutionary method.

In this way, this could exert a stronger combat effectiveness.

In light of this idea, Grandmaster Netherheart’s Male Toxin Refinery was released.

The evolutionary idea of the Male Toxin Refinery was to break the stable ethnic system within the female lymphatic core in Mixed Toxin Refinery, and adopt the male lymph as the main body to evolve the competitive system.

In this way, Sorcerers would give full play to the evolution of the different rhythms of various body parts, so that the original investment in the same refinery knowledge would get a higher return!

After understanding the knowledge theory of the Male Toxin Refinery, without a doubt, Grandmaster Netherheart’s exploration and knowledge research of lymphs had gone beyond Grimm’s own research. Grimm had never even thought of such a deep knowledge composition.

Alas, Grimm merely sighed.

Although the Male Toxin Refinery was powerful, Grimm could not think of any use for it any time soon.

Because of the way in which he once cultivated the Mixed Toxin Refinery, his physical growth had exceeded his own knowledge of Toxin Refinery. To make up for it, he needed to study for at least one hundred years.

At the moment, he obviously did not have that kind of time to spare.

The study of Destructive Energy must be carried out in full swing!

Grimm was like a gambler who had depressed all his net worth. He could not afford to lose and could only move forward!

The Sabbatic Goat Staff lost the support of the Black Isotta Tower’s Mana Pool, causing the ability to reduce sorcery magic power consumption of below 7,000 degrees by fifty percent to naught, and even the increase in basic attack power by 3 degrees at this time was also reduced to 2 degrees.

In this way, Grimm’s combat effectiveness had almost intuitively decreased compared to before.

However, in contrast, due to the unique ability to obtain the undead body of the Nightmare Sorcerer and the unique ability of “Sorcerers nearby meditating to stimulate mental power”, the second Nightmare Sorcerer’s abilities were similar to an Elemental Sorcerer’s instinct to control the power of nature. Grimm’s life-saving ability had been improved by leaps and bounds.

Now, he must pay close attention every time he carried out the Destructive Energy experiment!

“Caw!? Okay, okay. I’ll go, wait for me.”

In the crystal ball floating in front of Little Myna, the image of Leafie, the parrot, appeared. Leafie was leaning on one of her wings, and the other was pointed at Little Myna.

After Little Myna hurriedly put away the crystal ball, he looked at Grimm who had turned away pretending that he had not seen what went on.

“That… caw, caw, caw, caw. Master, just now the darn parrot Leafie asked me to play with her, she was begging and crying as she kneeled on the ground, swearing that she will take it badly if I don’t go. Master, look! Sigh… I, Lord Myna, as a great Steel Emblem Myna, am not a cruel creature by nature. I just want to give her face, otherwise that fellow will really take it badly. It won’t be good if Lou Linman puts the blame on you. ”

Even though Grimm was well aware of this fellow’s true nature, he had to resist the urge to give him a tight slap after listening to his blatant lies.

This fellow…

Hoping that the parrot Leafie would never find out what Little Myna had just said, and that the Steel Emblem Mynas in the Sorcerers World would not become extinct due to that, Grimm replied.

“Hmm, got it. By the way, take this and say it’s a little gift from me, and invite both Leafie and Lou Linman to come over to play when you’re free.”

Grimm unexpectedly threw out a precious Ice Top.

This was the Ice Top that had been condensed only after the King of Snowthreads had condensed the vitality of tens of thousands of Acraepoids. Grimm himself had only eleven and a half Ice Tops, and he had used one to cultivate the Abyssal Tree of Soul Fusion.

“Caw? Oh, oh, oh, got it!”

After Little Myna’s surprised reaction, he threw the Ice Top into the Dimensional Gap and flew away.

After half an hourglass.

After instructing Thousand-Eyed Carcinus to stop slowly on the wide lawn in front of the Demon-Hunter Castle, Grimm said, “You don’t have a Sorcerer’s soul mark, wait for me to imprint a magic mark on you.”

“Understood, Lord Grimm.”

Even though the lawn in front of the Demon-Hunter Castle was very wide, it was still a bit small for the huge body of Thousand-Eyed Carcinus, and it was afraid to move about randomly.

“Hmm, from the looks of it, it will take hundreds of years to grow new crab claws. You can rest peacefully here during this period. Take these Magic Stones, you can go to the Tree of Life Trading Market yourself and buy whatever food you want.”

Grimm took out some high-quality Magic Stones and placed them in the space between Thousand-Eyed Carcinus’s eyes.

On the other side.

“Grimm, you really are okay! That’s great!”

It turned out to be Millie who had come out from her Demon-Hunter Castle and was looking at Grimm who had just flown down from Thousand-Eyed Carcinus’s back. Her silvery white hair was flowing, and her hand was holding an extraordinary Ice Crystal Staff.

“Millie.”

Grimm greeted her and slowly walked toward Millie, looking at her clear ice crystal eyes.

“Grimm, did you try to advance to become a Level-2 Sorcerer?”

Millie asked tentatively, seeing the wrinkles in the corners of his eyes under Grimm’s Mask of Truth.

“Yes.”

Grimm nodded and said, “I was going to advance with the ice element tank but I failed.”

Millie sighed, “Compared to you, I don’t even have the confidence to try to advance. Mina, on the other hand, will participate in the Guardians Selection one hundred years later. If she were to succeed, do you know what this means? ”

Grimm, taken aback, nodded silently. Of course Grimm knew what being a World Guardian meant.

After advancing from a Devotee to a Guardian, the minimum strength of a World Guardian was equivalent to that of Level-3 creatures!

Sure enough, like Millie had said hundreds of years ago, Mina was already far ahead of himself and Millie.

Ten days later.

After receiving the Sorcerer Essence reward for the expedition to the Infernal Spirit World, and having circled around both the Purple Tulip family shops and the underground trading square, Grimm returned once again.

For the Destructive Energy experiment, Grimm had already experimented on the basic materials before the last Demon-Hunting expedition.

Now, Grimm intended to start experimenting with the basic energy parts. That included some strange types of energy collected from the Infernal Spirit World, basic energy in a sorcerer’s knowledge, and undocumented strange energy he had in possession.

Including… the dark source of Mystical Energy!

However, it took some time for the Purple Tulip family to collect these basic energy crystals, and Grimm could use this period of time for some other things.

For example, refining an advanced medicine with the Ice Top as the core.

With the combination of the Ice Top’s enormous Life Energy, Ice Energy, and Soul Energy, Grimm had two ideas in creating medicine.

One of them was to make advanced medicine with a temporary increase in Constitution, while the other was to make medicine with high repair and regeneration abilities.

Making medicine with high repair ability was relatively simple. Grimm had successfully made a bottle three days ago, and he had used it on Thousand-Eyed Carcinus that had been regenerating its crab claw.

As for advanced medicine that would temporarily increase one’s Constitution…

Grimm used the Agate Pox Amber obtained from the Ground Vein Fairies, traded for and accumulated with other ingredients in both Holy Towers of Six Rings and Seven Rings, and finally completed the first test product bottle.

However, he did not know what effects they would have.

After about five hourglasses of carefully observing the movements of his cells under a microscope, Grimm finally figured out the effects of this bottle of Snowline Essence and displayed a satisfied smile.

The Snowline Essence would temporarily increase 100 points of Constitution for one hourglass, and would gradually decrease by 100 points of Constitution in the following three hourglasses worth of time. Also, the attack ability of ice attributes would be increased slightly, and the Soulfire would be solidified to a certain degree.

Before beginning the expedition to the Infernal Spirit World, Grimm had over 500 Constitution and a maximum power of more than 1,000. This was the minimum standard imposed under the Level-2 Sorcerer digitization of Refinery Sorcerers.

Although so many years had passed, and although Grimm had not continued to consolidate nor achieve any special results, he had slowly increased his Constitution by 12 points.

A temporary increase of 100 points of Constitution was equivalent to temporarily enhancing one-fifth of Grimm’s basic refining attributes!

This increase in combat effectiveness was not just one-fifth.

After making several bottles of the Snowline Essence in succession, Grimm looked at the time and murmured, “There is still some time left, then I’ll try to make a high-purity Claw of Hell!”

While saying so, Grimm took out some Cat’s Eye Stones, Calm Soul Grass seeds, Tear Lizard saliva, five hundred different kinds of raw blood…

Once in the Infernal Spirit World, the Claw of Hell, which Grimm had made by using a hundred drops of Tainted Eye Blood with Little Myna’s help, had forcefully pulled a Level-3 Acraepoid into the semi-realistic and semi-illusive space of Mount Serpentine.

At this moment, Grimm intended to make a Claw of Hell out of five hundred drops of Tainted Eye Blood!

A few days later, Grimm watched with a satisfied smile as the Cat’s Eye Stones gradually turned into tiny blood-colored eyes.
