“This guy, he’s becoming stronger and stronger!”

They had crossed swords consecutively for a year, Storm Hammer could clearly feel that this Moth Frog City Legendary Knight Muyi the Greatsword Slayer was becoming stronger, from the beginning when he sometimes still needed the help from precious magical tools that were obtained from who knows where to keep him alive, to the point now where he was almost able to fight equally with himself.

He was still very young so he was growing rapidly, as expected from the genius Knight of Moth Frog City.

But it did not matter anymore.

After Storm Hammer and Muyi clashed against each other once again, having taken advantage of the favorable uphill terrain, Storm Hammer shouted savagely, “Muyi the Greatsword Slayer, you no longer have a chance, hahaha haha!”

Muyi gritted his teeth, the white warhorse under him was covered in blood, there were only a few hundred Knights left, while the other side had almost four hundred Knights!

Except for the Rocky Mountain iron mine, they had already lost the blood agate mine, and now the number of Knights of the other side was too great.

Moth Frog City was exactly as what the other party had said, there was no chance at all.

“Commander Muyi, let’s retreat!”

“We did our best, Governor Grimm will not blame us!”

Muyi’s trusted aides that were always by his side tried to persuade him, it was not that they were afraid of the war, but the enemy was too strong, so strong that they had lost hope of victory.

Rumble, rumble, rumble…

A few hundred Knights from the blood agate mine who had lost came clamoring, distressed and breaths uneven, as they were chased by Dawn Protector City Knights of a number several times bigger than their own, Muyi knew that they had no chance whatsoever and shouted unwillingly, “Fall back!”

Even though he did not want to disappoint Governor Grimm, Muyi would not let these Knights die in vain, these Knights were by no means the most elite Knights as told by legends that possessed the fighting will to sacrifice themselves.

In reality, in a normal Knights battle, the moment when the loss was more than thirty percent, falling back was a normal thing to do.

Up until now, Muyi’s Knights had not been broken up yet, to all the cities in such a vast region like this Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy, it was something that they should be proud of.

“Hahahaha, hahaha hahahaha!”

The Dawn Protector City’s Knights’ cheers of victory were like sharp blades cutting into Muyi’s heart, the Knights of Moth Frog City felt fuming pain burning on their faces as they flee in distress, but there was nothing they could do.

Rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble…

Suddenly, in the direction of Moth Frog City where Muyi was leading the two hundred Knights to, they heard rumbling sounds of horses galloping, followed by a three-meter long giant fiery red bird spreading its wings, its wonderful figure was like a flame fairy.

“Halt!”

Muyi lifted his hand, gesturing for the Knights to stop, and looked into the distance.

A troop of Knights that was around two hundred in numbers was separated into three groups, the leader of the Knights each used a different logo, as he waited for these Knights to come closer, Muyi and the Knights could see those logos clearly.

The Blazing mercenary regiment?

The Roaring Earth mercenary regiment?

The Will of Magnolia mercenary regiment?

As the three troops of mercenary regiments stopped, Muyi looked at the three leaders of the Knights that were in the front, his gaze was filled with disbelief, they were three Legendary Knights!

“Hahahaha, you’re Commander Muyi right? We received orders from Governor Grimm to provide assistance to the Rocky Mountain.”

The giant physique of the regiment leader of the Roaring Earth mercenary regiment was sitting on a warhorse that was actually a Hippokampos, a normal warhorse would not be able to bear his weight for a long period of time.

“I am.”

Muyi greeted the Legendary Knight with the Knight’s etiquette, he could feel that the experienced Knights had fought many battles, perhaps only the few trusted aides beside him were comparable to them.

The three troops of Knights there numbered to almost two hundred people altogether, and all of them were elite Knights.

This was the reinforcement that Governor Grimm had sent!?

Hiring high rank mercenaries?

“The Rocky Mountain doesn’t look like it’s in good shape, Commander Muyi, lead the way quickly, we don’t want to take Governor Grimm’s reward without doing anything.”

Muyi glanced at the person who spoke, it was actually a female Legendary Knight that was almost his age, she was very pretty, and had an aura of decisiveness and fortitude that was different from normal girls.

As he nodded and turned to lead the way, Muyi’s pair of pupils shrank.

A Sorcerer!?

No, it could not be a Sorcerer, it must be a Sorcerer-Apprentice.

Muyi could feel that the old Sorcerer-Apprentice’s aura was similar to Grandma Vivian’s aura a few years back, their bodies that were shriveling, was a person very close to death.

“Understood!”

Muyi gave his command, shifting the direction of the crowd of Knights behind to move toward Rocky Mountain once again to counterattack, at the same time he could faintly hear the Knights muttering nonsensical things beside him.

“Sh*t, we’re being looked down by these mercenaries!”

“That big bird is really pretty, I bet it’s really tasty…”

***

On the other side.

Those mercenary regiment leaders were not wrong, Moth Frog City right now, indeed did not have the economic power to hire all three high-rank mercenary regiments for two years.

Even if Grimm had started to deliberately accumulate wealth these few years, under normal circumstances he should only be able to pay for the cost of two mercenary regiments for two years, and he would still need to draw out funds from other sides.

The reason why Grimm still hired all three mercenary regiments was because the investments on the farms from ten years ago had started to gain rudimental earnings this year!

Ten years ago.

By aiming toward Moth Frog City’s natural economy trait, Grimm had set up a fertile land near the Doma River in the wilderness using the Thousand-Eyed Carcinus, utilizing the farming methods by Alastair from the Isa household who used to live in the Holy Tower of Seven Rings, setting up a farm of rubber trees and Spring Blossoms.

Of course, Grimm’s farm was incomparable to the large-scale business group of the Isa household that was set across half of the Holy Tower, to the extent of conducting trades even to foreign worlds, but to hire a troop of mercenary regiments, it was more than enough.

From the rubber trees, a sort of rubbery substance could be extracted from them.

This type of rubbery substance had an excellent insulation function, some nobles would use this feature to keep the rooms warm during winter.

Some nobles would even use this insulation feature, to store a large amount of ice during winter, and to enjoy it during the hot summers.

The luxurious life of nobles was unimaginable by common people.

The Spring Blossoms were a peculiar fruit that caused psychedelia, eating in small amounts worked as anaesthetic and painkillers, while eating in large amounts would cause some excitement. It could also be used for intimacy purposes, it grew by relying on certain minerals that could only be found in the grounds of Moth Frog City.

Grimm being a Sorcerer, would not simply find a place to grow Spring Blossom trees like any other common person.

He used his sorcerer wisdom, and found the element of this type of mineral.

After a short flight, Grimm arrived at his own rubber tree rubber extraction workshop that he had set up himself.

This workshop already had a prototype factory.

Looking at the busy workers, Grimm, who was led by the workshop manager, arrived at the end product area, where cans of rubbery substances were stored. All they needed was the addition of a small amount of additives after pouring them into a mould, these rubbery substances would then display its insulation feature.

“Okay.”

After taking a few cans of rubbery substances as samples, Grimm returned to Moth Frog City and went to a few chamber of commerce stations.
