“This feeling…”

As Grimm was escaping, he felt as if the Nightmare Mist Dreadlord, who was in a faraway unknown place, was closing in on the distance between them at an unbelievable rate. The strand of Nightmare Mist surrounding his body had started to attract a large shroud of Nightmare Mist to compress and bind him as his footsteps grew heavier with each step.

Nearly every step he took required him to mobilize all his strength.

A large shroud of Nightmare Mist started gathering around Grimm, seemingly marking Grimm’s location for the Dreadlord Servants who were also pursuing him, breaking the effects of Grimm’s stealth ability.

“He he he he, you can’t run!”

The Heartless King who was in front of them naturally found Grimm first. The heavy shrouds of Nightmare Mists formed a spiral ring of a thousand meters around Grimm.

Suddenly, Grimm could feel an odd fluctuation from behind him.

A pair of lips appeared from the black ring formed by the Nightmare Mist, revealing an evil smile that seemed like the crescent moon of the night in the Nightmare World. After parting the neat and white set of teeth within the mouth, a tongue stretched out toward Grimm who was running in front while it drooled as if it was enjoying a delicious meal.

“Hmph!”

Grimm was once terrified when he had just fallen into the Nightmare World, but it did not mean that he was now still powerless to resist.

After all, this was just a ray of will from the Nightmare Mist Dreadlord that was sent from a far distance.

Presently, Grimm already had the support of tens of thousands of Fright Energy. Although he had yet to have the nightmare realm ability of a Dreadlord Servant, his basic combat abilities were enough to put up a fight with weaker Dreadlord Servants who had left their nightmare realm.

Grimm waved his Sabbatic Goat Staff behind him as he struck the drooling scarlet red tongue.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The Dreadlord Servant that was closing in on him with huge steps in a distance happened to be the Dream Watcher King who once tried to hunt down Grimm after Grimm ruined his attempt at rebirth.

Yet in his third bloody eye, all the Dream Watcher King could see was Grimm’s hairy hand pounding backwards, striking back at the scarlet red tongue from the spiral of the Nightmare Mist which was a few hundred meters long.

Seeing this, the Dream Watcher King could not help but take in a deep breath.

“This fella, he dared to strike the great Nightmare Mist Dreadlord… it’s no surprise that he’s a Sorcerer! Well, now he’s just one of the Fallens in the Nightmare World.”

From what the Dream Watcher King had murmured, it would seem that he had already known that Grimm was the fallen Sorcerer that the Nightmare Mist Dreadlord was searching for.

The scarlet red tongue behind Grimm immediately returned back into the evil smile of the Nightmare Mist as if it was electrocuted after being attacked by Grimm.

“Little Sorcerer, you can’t run now. He he he he he he, it’s like I can already see your quivering helpless eyes. A Sorcerer that was pulled into the Nightmare World by an Ancient Dreadlord? How marvelous.”

Blurgh!

The Nightmare Mist’s mouth spat out a huge piece of red fur. It was the long red fur that was on every Horrifying Creature of the Nightmare World.

After forming a red spiral mark in mid air, the long red fur swarmed toward Grimm.

This was the mark of the Nightmare World. Grimm could not stop it or defend himself as the spiral mark fell onto Grimm’s right shoulder.

“Wait for me, little Sorcerer. He he he he, don’t be scared. This is not the end of your life. Because we will be one soon. You will become my carrier, a part of me, a new Sorcerer, and welcome your new journey of life, huwa ha ha ha ha ha…”

His arrogant laughter resounded as it slowly vanished.

Vroom!

Due to the red Nightmare Mist on Grimm’s body becoming heavier and heavier, the Heartless King landed on Grimm at an even faster pace. Watching this Fallen one who was even taller than himself, the corner of his mouth formed an odd arc and revealed a cruel smile.

The look in the Heartless King’s eyes when he looked at Grimm was like how Sorcerer-Apprentices looked at frogs that were about to be part of a teacher’s experiment in Grimm’s time in class as a Sorcerer-Apprentice.

“He he, even though you’re a sorcerer that has fallen into the Nightmare World. You have to obey the nightmare law of the Nightmare World and hand over your secret of collecting Fright Energy this quickly.”

The voice of the Heartless King was filled with greed.

They had found out that the nightmare hunter was the Sorcerer who had fallen into the Nightmare World about forty years ago, and also the fact that he had become a Fallen one that was so powerful that he could put up a fight with the Dreadlord Servants. Knowing this, the Heartless King, as well as all the other Dreadlord Servants who were still far behind in their pursuit, was tempted.

This Sorcerer knew the secret of advancing quickly?

Even the fact that he possessed stealth Nightmare Power could not explain the reason behind his extraordinary speed in growing stronger so quickly.

Grimm was marked by the red fur. Although his body was still in his stealth state, because of this mark that was attracting a layer of Nightmare Mist, Grimm was easily seen.

Grimm looked at his strong opponent. He had already given up on escaping as the Nightmare Mist that was surrounding him had binded him and caused a decrease in his speed.

At the very most, he had to withstand the four Dreadlord Servants’ attacks until nightfall so his Fright Energy would not dissipate. If not…

Grimm took a deep breath. Due to the Nightmare Mist surrounding him, he had given up on using the stealth effects of the Principle Will of the Sorcerers World and the Lamp of Awakening. He appeared directly in front of the Heartless King in his hideous long-haired monkey form. Both his eyes burning with great depth.

“Well then, tell me. If I were to tell you the secret to collecting Fright Energy quickly, what’s in it for me?”

Grimm said sarcastically as he started to silently gather his magic force.

The Heartless King extended his furry hand toward Grimm and pointed at him, as if he was a high and mighty king preparing to give alms to the peasants kneeling before him, his arrogance fully on display.

“What’s in it for you? A trade with the Sorcerers World? How interesting! At the very least, I’ll grant you your last honor as a human Sorcerer in front of your rebirth carrier—the great Nightmare Mist Dreadlord.”

“Grant me my last honor as a human Sorcerer? Hahahahaha!”

Grimm laughed out loud in his huge body as a hideous monkey of twenty meters tall. It was as if he was mocking the arrogance and ignorance of the Heartless King.

Crackle!

Grimm’s twenty meter body suddenly grew, reaching thirty meters in height. His huge body looked much sturdier than before.

This was the strength increasing effect he had as Grimm released his level 1 Wild Instincts.

Of course, no matter what kind of attack Grimm used, it would look like an awkwardly clumsy attack in the eyes of other Horrifying Creatures in the Nightmare World. At the same time, when these Horrifying Creatures use their own abilities, it would look the same in Grimm’s eyes.

However…

How Sorcerers evolved were different from these creatures!

Sorcerers were good at utilizing their weak strength to trigger a greater law to attack. This was also why Grimm was only threatened by a single Nightmare Phantom when he had first fallen into the Nightmare World.

Yet now, when Grimm’s Fright Energy had reached such great heights…

“You!”

The Heartless King stepped back as he stared at Grimm in disbelief.

He had already known about Grimm’s stealth Nightmare Power, so he stopped worrying about it after Grimm’s stealth effects were broken by the Nightmare Mist Dreadlord.

However, this nightmare hunter’s strength had suddenly grown this much. Although Grimm’s degree of growth had not reached the increasing effects of the nightmare realm, but this nightmare hunter had turned his strength from being equal to the Heartless King to being a whole lot greater than his.

“This is… sorcery!?”

The Heartless King asked as he thought of something.

Grimm gathered his fighting will and smiled as his eyes were burning.

“He he he he, granting me my last honor as a human Sorcerer?”

Grimm’s body did not only grow taller but it grew stronger as well. Beneath his solid shoulders were a pair of muscled arms.

“How would you, an arrogant Fallen one, a reptile in the Nightmare World who fail to die, understand the great honor of a Sorcerer? Ever since the birth of Sorcerers, Sorcerers have already begun their battle for hegemony with the sea tribe, the enlightenment battle with the Nightmare World Civilization, and the defense battle with the Abyss World Civilization. The Sorcerers’ honor is built beneath the numerous craters formed by Sorcerers that have never stopped moving forward, building upon the countless white bones of those cruel and arrogant foreign creatures!”

Amidst his roaring, Grimm had completed his level 2 Wild Instincts transformation. The Grimm who was roaring at the skies was no longer a monkey with red hair but instead, he had become a giant ape!

The forty meter tall giant ape roared in the skies as his fists kept pounding on his chest. A majestic breath of strength was scattered throughout the air.

The Heartless King gazed upon Grimm. His strength had increased to such an extent once again!

Slam!

Grimm stomped on the ground beneath him.

In the twinkling of an eye, the ground beneath Grimm started to crack and fissures spread to all directions. A huge crater about ten meters appeared beneath the giant ape’s feet, and proceeded to appear hundreds of meters away in an instant. The humongous body that blocked the sun and the skies waved his large hand, as it slammed mercilessly onto the Heartless King.
