Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 498: Chapter 541: That’s a Cold Joke

”Brother Bai, I’m scared!” Upon hearing this, Yan Chuxia fearfully snuggled her petite body into Xiao Bai’s arms!

Xiao Bai frowned, initially wanting to push her away! However, for some reason he couldn’t put his finger on, his hand rested on her shoulder and stopped.

”At this moment...,” a voice suddenly came from behind the grave: ”Damn, who is it? Can’t even take a dump in peace. Got hit three times with a smoke break!” The mystery was revealed, and Ling Yueyue exaggeratedly laughed out loud!

Everyone looked at each other, no one laughed, nor spoke, they just silently watched the exaggeratedly laughing Ling Yueyue!

Even the timid Lin Shengxia lifted her head from Gu Xingchen’s arms, bewildered, looking at her.

Just when Ling Yueyue was laughing heartily, Xiao Bai’s voice suddenly came, ”That’s a cold joke!”

Upon hearing this, the smile on Ling Yueyue’s face froze, she lowered her head, and only then did she realize that she was the only one laughing, while everyone else looked at her with puzzled expressions!

Especially the few kids, it seemed they didn’t understand what she was saying at all!

”Ahem...!” Ling Yueyue covered her mouth, coughed lightly twice, and said awkwardly: ”Actually... I just... I just wanted to make everyone laugh! Ahem...!” The more she spoke, the redder her face became, eventually almost burying itself in her chest.

It was really embarrassing, she originally just wanted to deliberately scare the timid little kids, but unexpectedly... the people weren’t scared, and instead, she completely lost face!

Xiang Xuelan looked at Ling Yueyue, blinked, and said bewilderedly: ”Auntie, that’s not scary at all!”

”Alright then! Let me think a bit more, I’ll definitely find a scary one to frighten you later!” Ling Yueyue dropped her shoulders powerlessly, feeling slightly helpless inside.

Seeing that Ling Yueyue didn’t have any scary stories to tell, Guan Nuannuan excitedly said, ”Let me, let me, I know a lot of scary ghost stories, I guarantee you’ll like them!”

Everyone hurried to adjust their mindset, looking at Guan Nuannuan with great anticipation.

After Ling Yueyue’s earlier incident, everyone felt braver, thinking that their so-called scary ghost stories were just so-so, so they didn’t pay much attention to the ghost story Guan Nuannuan was about to tell.

Guan Nuannuan put on a serious face and started telling earnestly: ”Not long ago, there was a group of people who went camping, just like us now! There were six of them in total, three men and three women! As a result, in the middle of the night, a fierce storm suddenly hit! Their tents were blown away by the wind, and their bedding and luggage were completely soaked! They had no choice but to pack their luggage and brave the heavy rain, trying to find a place to temporarily avoid the rain, and wait until the rain stopped to go home in the morning! As luck would have it, on their way down the mountain, they suddenly saw an abandoned house! Without thinking, they ran straight inside! It was a very luxurious house, with a swimming pool in front! However, such a large house was deserted! The sofas and furniture in the house were all covered with white cloth, and there were cobwebs everywhere on the walls! There were various oil paintings hanging on the walls! Among them, there was a particularly lifelike painting of a woman, and with the flashes of lightning outside, they saw the woman in the painting, she was a very beautiful woman!”

As the story progressed, everyone listened more and more intently! Their hearts were in suspense, eager to hear it all at once!

Even Ling Yueyue forgot her earlier embarrassment, raising her head, full of anticipation, continuing to listen.

”That night, they stayed in that house! They couldn’t understand why such a beautiful house was uninhabited, why it was abandoned! Besides, they always felt as if a pair of eyes was watching them from behind! Those eyes, cold and sinister, like the chill of winter, giving them goosebumps! To bolster their courage, the six of them held hands in a circle, telling jokes! At this moment, the door of the house was pushed open by someone from outside! They were startled, thinking it was something unclean! Can you guess, who was the person that pushed the door open and came in?” Guan Nuannuan’s voice grew lower, tinged with an inexplicable ghostly tone.

Upon hearing this, everyone shook their heads together, their spines involuntarily breaking out in a cold sweat!

”Brother Bai, I’m scared...!” On hearing this, Yan Chuxia almost buried her entire self into Xiao Bai’s embrace!

Xiao Bai was listening intently and forgot to push her away, instead, he hugged her tightly.

Lin Shengxia also cuddled into Gu Xingchen’s arms in fear, her whole head buried!

Tiantian was also scared, tightly holding Tiantian’s hand!

Diandian, no one knew when had already nestled asleep in Xiang Qingshi’s arms.

”It turned out the ones who pushed the door open were four classmates who went camping with them! It was just that their camping site was different! Seeing it was their classmates, the previous six students breathed a sigh of relief! As they say, there’s safety in numbers, they also felt it was better to have some company! So, they hurried to call the classmates to sit down! At this moment, the terrifying thing happened! The four classmates who came in later looked at the initial six and curiously asked, ”Weren’t there six of you during the day? When did you get another one?” The six classmates were puzzled, scratching their heads, and replied, ”We’ve always been six people! You must have counted wrong, right?” ”How could it be?” Then, the four classmates counted them again, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven... seven! Upon hearing the four classmates count to seven, the initial six classmates shivered, looked at each other, then turned around to look behind them! ... Can you guess what they saw?” At this point, Guan Nuannuan deliberately paused for effect.

Upon hearing this, everyone had already broken out in a cold sweat! The women present couldn’t resist holding the hands of the men beside them.

”Daddy, I’m scared!” Tiantian fearfully hid in Huo Junmo’s arms, both frightened and curious, asking, ”What did they see? Was there an extra person behind them?”

Guan Nuannuan sneered, to fit the atmosphere, she deliberately darkened her face and said, word by word, ”They saw the woman in the oil painting! The woman’s face was pale, her eyes hollow, wearing a white dress, her long hair flowing over her shoulders, with a smile at the corner of her mouth, staring chillingly at them. Seeing this woman, the six classmates screamed and ran together towards the door! However, before they reached it, the door was closed by the four classmates who came in later! The terrifying scene happened at this moment...!”

At this moment, Guan Nuannuan abruptly stopped telling the story!

”What happened, hurry up and tell us!” Ling Yueyue, being naturally impatient, couldn’t help but urge when seeing her keeping them in suspense.
